At the moment, I'm just hoping we don't find ourselves in a situation where we f*cked up against Liverpool and have to beat West Brom and Sunderland in the final two games to win the title. It would be a freaking nightmare if we suffer the same fate like Liverpool did last season. Don't spoil the fun!

Of course it's hard to believe when you're ridiculously suggesting we only bought Salah because of his performances against us, as though you have proof to say we hadn't scouted him before that and were interested in buying him. I could easily turn around and say, we were interested in Salah and went out to buy him because Liverpool nearly signed him. Otherwise, we would have scouted him for a little while longer and maybe purchase him 1-2 years down the road.

Luiz's brainfart moments aside, he clearly got his qualities and we enjoyed tons of them during his time here. It's no surprise that a big club wanted him, just maybe not for the money PSG paid for him.

I'm finding it ridiculous that you're suggesting the sole reason we bought those players was because of their performances against us and PSG buying Luiz for the same reason.

You can't be serious in suggesting PSG only bought Luiz because of his performances against them in the Champions League? If we need another player like Fabregas or an attacking midfielder, we could look at Gundogan or Pjanic.

There's nothing much he can do when the players can't even play simple 5-10 yard passes and work in tandem with one another. On the other hand, kinda frustrated by our lack of threat from set pieces. We have quite a few physical and tall players in the side and yet, we have hardly scored enough from corners and/or free kicks. The passes/crosses have always been underhit or gone straight to the goalkeeper.

Not sure why people keep on thinking PSG will bid for Oscar when he hasn't shown any brilliance on a consistent basis to attract them or any other club for that matter. At this point, we'll be lucky to even have a big club wanting to buy Oscar for a good amount of money. Maybe but how long more can we really be patient with him though? Think this is like the third year in a row where he's showing signs of tailing off in the second half of the season and not to mention, he's not shown any consistency in his performances throughout the campaign.

Not finding excuses for Oscar or anything but is he like going to get a summer break any time soon? He's been playing a competition with Brazil at the end of the season since 2012 and it looks like that may continue all the way until 2019! 2012 - Olympics 2013 - Confederations Cup 2014 - World Cup 2015 - Copa America 2016 - Copa America + Olympics 2017 - Confederations Cup 2018 - World Cup 2019 - Copa America For his sake, hope Dunga makes the right choice and give him a rest like this summer or something. Playing so many games every year can't be do his well being any good, never mind his performances.

True but Pochettino rotated the starting XI against Fiorentina in the first leg, didn't he? He could do the same again by prioritizing this cup final over the Europa League.

Just found out that Anthony Taylor will be officiating this game and he's the same referee who deemed Fabregas had dived to try and win a penalty at Southampton last December.

What a tough run-in!

Didn't want to use this as an excuse (or reason/factor if you like) initially but starting to wonder if the players are suffering from burnt out due to being overplayed this season. Performances haven't been the same since the West Ham match on Boxing Day. Over the past 1 1/2 months, we only played well against Swansea - even then, they self-destructed and helped us to win easily - and Everton (if we are pushing it). Other than that, the performances have been below par and we have been doing just enough to get a win or draw (depending on the circumstances). Not to mention, even Mourinho has mentioned a few times of players having niggling injuries and not training well before a match.

Oooh. Didn't know that. They could have just scheduled the match to be played in 2 weeks time, during the FA Cup weekend.

In the midst of all the outrage, have to say Luis was superb today. Easily the MOTM and his best performance at the club so far. Looked dangerous in attack and was quite solid defensively too.

I don't want to be harsh but my god, his passing was hopeless today. The stats may suggest he did OK in that aspect but the number of times he passed straight to a Burnley player was infuriating!

Think you can count Mikel out as Mourinho said on Friday, he'll be on the treatment table for another 2 weeks or so.
