From another perspective, that was a crap finish from Lukaku and rubbish defending from us.
-
Shocked and not shocked that Ivanovic escaped a ban from the FA..
-
Convenient timing to sign and announce the contract extension just before we play PSG...
-
How do you know? He could have chosen to play in the Championship, for now, because it would help him to develop rather than perhaps joining some Premier League club and wouldn't play as much. Even Kane had that issue until Pochettino lost it with Adebayor and Soldado. Funny thing is, I never compared Kane and Bamford to begin with. You did. I only said there's no need to buy Kane in the future if/when the strikers we have the youth team now develop properly and feature in the first team. I mentioned Bamford because for all we know, he could be playing regularly for us in the future once he gets the opportunities in the Premier League. He's already showing he's got the talent and goals to back it up. And if it's not Bamford, it can be someone else, just like I suggested in the initial post.
-
So, just because I said you have overexaggerated the difference in quality between the two and suggested we should wait a little while longer to see if Kane is the real deal, I'm being biased here? Such a typical excuse used just to prove others are wrong when you have nothing concrete or solid to prove you're outrightly correct.

With respect to the Europa League, we know that competition is nothing much especially when you face crap oppositions in the group stage. And you're really REALLY overexaggerating the difference between the two. Better off judging when Bamford (eventually) plays in the Premier League and going back to what I said earlier, let's see how Kane fares in the remaining months of the season and next one too. He could be the real deal or he might not. THAT!

Imperious. Splendid. Dominant. Marvelous. Sensational.

Like Mourinho said, OUR RAMIRES IS BACK!!!
-
Struggled at times against Lukaku but overall, did very well to cope with Everton's attacking threat.
-
Funny thing is, Azpi might not get forward a lot but when he does, his contribution has been decisive and more often than not, led to a goal (directly or indirectly).
-
Gosh. Ivanovic can sometimes be infuriating, can't he? Scores important goals for us but then, has the tendency to combust unnecessarily on the pitch. His attempted headbutt on McCarthy may or may not have been intentional but why give the FA more excuse to punish us? Even if the FA are rubbish, silly to give them that ammunition and put more heat on ourselves.
-
Promising first start from the lad. Showed glimpses of his qualities. Could certainly do with less of the over-elaborating and be more decisive in the final third.
-
Surprised that Willian was played in the No.10 role against Everton but at the same time, not surprised either. Mourinho has showed in the past he will do that if we attempt to play on the break, not necessarily for the entire game but certainly when we can get loads of opportunities to counter and Everton was the perfect opposition for such approach. If we had played one of the lesser sides instead, Willian would have started out wide. That aside, credit where is due for his performance. Was solid, looked threatening and finally scored a goal this season that's actually vital. Can definitely still improve with the final passes though...
-
Only after he was given the opportunity to play in the Premier League. Kane had a few loan spells too and didn't even get a chance to prove himself until Pochettino lost patience with Soldado and Adebayor.
-
Good performance and we certainly deserved the win. Big BIG 3 points. Should have sealed it earlier though if we had been more decisive and not over-elaborated in the final third. Also, why does there always seem to be controversy when we play Martinez's side at home? 2010/11 - Beat Wigan 1-0 - think there was a foul in that goal with Torres or Malouda IIRC 2011/12 - Beat Wigan 2-1 - both of our goals were offside 2013/14 - Beat Everton 1-0 - some might say Ramires dived to earn that free kick which led to our goal 2014/15 - Beat Everton 1-0 - Ivanovic appeared to headbutt McCarthy
-
Willian is mainly used by Mourinho because of tactical reasons and to provide balance in the team.
-
Like I said, it's easy to say that when one is playing in the Premier League and the other one isn't...
-
Clearly those fans haven't been watching Willian enough in the last 18 months...
-
Kane is good but think you're overexaggerating the differences between the two.

Since when scoring is associated to being creative? It's almost like a desperate attempt from some to defend certain players in the team. He plays on the right wing and he can't even pick out teammates with simple passes when he gets the space. What makes one think he's suddenly going to get a lot more creative in the central position when that area is more congested than the wide areas?

Easy to say that when one has been given the chance to play in the Premier League and the other hasn't. Bamford himself is not short of qualities either and has proved he knows where the goal is.
