Brutal honesty, we outplayed them for the first half and it dropped off thereafter, punished, story of our season in reality. One thing I do agree with, the players are unfit for high intensity football, sluggish, slow, that’s not a confidence thing.
-
More his first touch and awareness, I’d of started him regardless of him being out long term and only getting fit recently, can’t bash Lampard for that but it’s still surprising to see.
-
Holy moly Kante is rusty
-
Don’t take your chances at this level and you get sucker punched. Cucu caught out again and my God Trev looks like he’s lost 5 yards of sprinting let alone a yard.
-
Worst time for him to revert to type, camera saves shots or headers straight at him, makes a big deal out of it and let’s in almost every half decent long range shot.
-
On my life I just said to myself look at our players JOGGING and then he bangs that in.
-
Mudryk is scary bad right now.
-
It’s ridiculous how far back Enzo has to be even though we have Zak and Conor on the pitch.
-
Camera save, typical recent Kepa.
-
Sterling and Pulisic are awful
-
Enzo marking Dunk? What
-
Mitoma so silky.
-
Trevor vs Mitoma, yikes.
-
I’ve got no issues supporting the team through hard and tough times, zero infact, that’s what it is to be a fan, though we’ve been spoilt rotten the last 20 years mainly, for me it’s always when I don’t see them running for every ball that literally makes me so disappointed. Even if we haven’t got the cohesion and personnel on the wavelengths, running and chasing every ball for 90 minutes for £80,000-£250,000+ a week is the minimum.

How does Gallagher get picked? Mad.
-
Impulse, nothing more and it comes with experience, I’d of done the same thing if I were in Ben’s position. Hindsight is always 20/20 but ultimately Cu shouldn’t have just watch a ball go over his head before sprinting, Ben would have got a yellow.
-
Still just a talent, at the moment for all his talent and skill, he is a hinderance on our play the more the weeks go on. A decent striker or AM cuts across Militao last night, as the commentator rightly said, instead of taking themselves wide and making the angle worse.
-
Who was marking him?
-
Need Gary Cahill on for these corners, actually attacking the ball, such poor movements on attacking set pieces.
-
Edit, thank god
-
Cu literally watched the ball go over his leg then started running, if he was even on par then it’s a yellow due to cover. brain dead, skip the second leg, waste of every bodies time
-
Mudryk needed for Sterling. Reece looks hella slow and sluggish.
-
Deeply concerned about bookings for second leg, Reece and Enzo.

Commercially I’m not concerned, Americans do know how to market and generate income in every feasible way in that sphere, not to generalise but over my career, just my opinion. regarding Felix, what a special talent, yes, talent, still, a talent, unfinished, still. Therefore anything above £60m I’d be unhappy with, if we had either of the coaches we’ve seen I’d be happy putting stock in those candidates to bring something out of the player, and others. Take Grealish as an example, Villa he was the big fish, special talent, now he’s being guided by Pep, started horrifically to be honest, as expected. After some patience he’s blooming now and City reap the rewards. Pep commands just so much respect, as a player, as a manager, has he had iffy appointments? Sure, but as a player I’d be listening to every word and we’ve lacked that sadly, because it’s not only listening, it’s having a deep respect for who you’re listening to.

That lineup pick says it all, Gallagher.
