Disagree, I think any average football fan can see Ashley has struggled since the contract business came about. I for one have said this a few times already on here. Just pointing out he struggled for the first time really :-)
Agree with Lukaku being recalled, he says he doesnt want to comeback unless he's playing regularly but he only gets 20-30mins for W Brom anyway surely he can do that here. Hopefully Rafa will start Ba (assuming we get him) in one of the cup ties coming up.
Hope he's out for months, Ross Turnbull is so under rated, good reliable shot stopper, never flaps at a cross, always calm and assured. Oh, no thats not Ross at all.. Hurry back Petr!! :-(
Ok so it was originally 7.5m, then 9m due to other fees and now apparently its 10.5-12m due to his agents wanting between 3-5m?? I'd take a punt on 7.5m, hell even 9m but its constantly rising
Don't forget guys Rafa even said his fitness regime is still that of a defender at the moment so until he manages to switch it up and get fitter for that role I'd say he's performing quite admirably at the moment
Be delighted if he accepted/got offered a one year extension with the option to extend, been saying it all along like Scholes/Giggs lamps can teach our youngsters so much, just like Petit/Veron/countless others did for Frank
Further to my post I would really expect Rafa to come up with a plan for Baines, he is always billed as a tactical genius so lets see.. Moyes is no slouch either.
I think we really need to pin Baines back like another poster said with Moses and possible Ramires playing with Luiz in this one. The worst thing we could do is play a defensive minded pivot I'd much prefer Ramires and Luiz in there due to the engine of Ramires running forward into space with Moses/Apzi against Baines. I really think that it can be done down their left side. Baines has created so many chances for them this season.
1. 2009 Barcelona - That ref, its number one on my list because of we deserved to go through and avenge ourselves against United. no matter what people say 'anti-football' - cant stand it when football writers and such slam teams for being defensive, if they tried to play football they'd get smashed, its called a game plan. 2. Moscow? Why? Obvious.
The only thing that worries me is his attitude but the media do twist his words, I try to watch as many original interviews with him as possible and usually they honestly are nothing like what they SOUND like when I read them on sky sports or elsewhere the next day example: I want to stay at West Brom and improve playing games here every week so I can return to Chelsea a better player What is then on sky sports or elsewhere: I want to stay at West Brom, I don't play at Chelsea, what is the point of returning there.
One thing he could improve on is his speed of distribution, just get the ball in quick like Torres' first goal, sometimes he delays too much, thats really my only fault for him at the moment..
I think most people in the back of their minds thought "Damn Luiz maybe should be in midfield?" and I was very excited, even against lower opposition, to see him start there! We all know he can ping a ball but I think it was fluid whilst he was in that position today.
