  1. That is absolutely beyond bonkers salary wise. Please do not sign this chap, reeks of mediocrity and lack of self belief to decline a performance based contract. Excluding Saudi money, which Id take in a heartbeat.
  2. Taking the Saudi money out of it, which essentially is causing all the problems. As a general rule, I have zero problem with performance based contracts that we've moved to, total sense, love it. Not sure what it is now that Rom is gone but our average salary went from £200k to £60k. We all made mistakes and bad decisions in our daily lives, I do back what Clearlake are doing, we as Chelsea fans are just so spoilt and used to win now, not later, now. It's a shame don't get me wrong, those years, that spine of players we had were just purely incredible to me, but that's not today's footballer, either. I do believe we return to champions league football, I do believe we'll make more mistakes and I do believe that we'll make catastrophic ones, however I do believe in the model, including the financial one, and I can confidently say I thought "sorry what?" When Palmer signed almost out of the blue. You hit, you miss, you hit big, you miss big, it's cyclical and it's going to take a while to move the deadwood, juggle money, so far they've found loophole after loophole.
  3. Said he is out for Palace too, both him and James expected back after then. However, did not specify which season or year.
  4. Still out injured unfortunately.
  5. We can all armchair it to each their own opinion, if someone offers me £10m a year for a project club vs £30m a year with a release clause, I'm taking it. All in all, personally, I don't rate VO, it's a shame we couldn't sign another striker, no clue who, and shift Jackson to the LW, he's played very well there before.
  6. United will certainly get themselves into a pickle financially at this rate but I imagine good ol' Jim will hoodwink taxpayers into funding the Wembley of the north.. not that we can complain about circumventing rules. Shame about Toney, however, 400k a week with no tax, tricky. Easy for us to say XYZ but he's 29, past the point he should have left Brentford and has an opportunity, fair.
  7. Quite mental that I refuse to celebrate until it's crystal clear he was nowhere near offside 😬
  8. Villa should have been 2-3 up so not convinced convinced it's Arsenal's year but the only other thing to stop them is City's consistency which has to waver. Rice oddly played ahead of Partey.
  9. Glad he's getting treated this way tbh, Enzo said he had a chat with him, and Chilly to say its better to find minutes elsewhere etc. Enzo has been brutally honest in his interviews, so why then release a statement seeking 'clarity'? Just putting the club into a terrible position and going off to his little mates like Rio, shameful. Good riddance.
  10. Not watching the match but saw Mount subbed off early doors on the football ticker, can't stand the little nobber.
  11. Spread the cost of him, take the 'pure profit' and tie someone down to a long deal for when we, possibly, get our transfer ban..
  12. Has to be a monstrous sell on clause or something, surely?
  13. Benoit must must must go. Beyond awful, concentration, passing, it's a madness, he's the priority to go for me, over Disasi and that's saying something.
  14. Nobhead Stefan on talksport radio again spouting about Chelsea. Same guy who said we need to sell £100m before June or we are up the creek, now up the creek on with a points deduction for admitted dodgy payments under prior ownership. Yawn, deflect from City again and again and again.
  15. Good to see, sets the tone by the club, fuck around and pull the shit he did with the statement, having Rio come out on his podcast and generally stirring the pot is just disgraceful. Enzo said he's told him he prefers another type of winger, then he tries to put the club in the weakest negotiating position, meh, rot in the reserves on your 300k if you want, and keep Rom 'liking' shit posts about treatment. The true clowns.
  16. Good money. Hopefully a sell on clause, would like to see some buybacks to be fair.
  17. Chiesa pre injury, lordy, yes please, what he could have been.
  18. He's definitely put us in the weakest negotiating position possible, typical him really.
  19. It's odd because all I want to see as a baseline is someone running their socks off like any fan would given a chance at donning the shirt, which he did vs City but you're completely right he took the shape out, allowed the midfield bypass and Im thinking to myself buddy you aren't fooling anyone here running around like a chicken when you aren't supposed to be at that time. Lavia and Caicedo often didn't have any options due him not being in the one touch range which lead to us going backwards. It's one game, blah blah blah, the difference is we've seen enough of Enzo further forward to know it doesn't work, similarly he gets breezed past being deeper but pings balls everywhere, it's definitely a conundrum. No one doubts his ability, remember the Liverpool game last year? Unreal individual performance, but I'm not sure he fits us, £100m+ problem.
  20. Cracks me up Rio straight on his podcast "from what I'm hearing he wants clarity on the situation, the last convo they had wasn't that he was surplus to requirements" Re: Raheem. Not direct quotes but watch it and it's pretty much that. So ridiculous how childish Raheem is.
  21. The length of the contracts now that the rule is in place on depreciation makes me really think we are in for some ban. Especially the Palmer deal.
  22. Now we have Neto, I'd take Neto and Mudryk on LW with tutelage under Maresca for Mudryk as well. If you offer me that and Raheem out plus his ridiculously outrageous salary, I take it. Especially as Jackson is more than capable at LW as well.
