  1. Because I know quite a few United fans and they're nice people. That and I don't care if a team spends a trillion pounds or nothing at all to win trophies, if you can do it (and do it repeatedly as Busby's United did and Ferguson's United have done) then you've earned it and no one should question that achievement. Also they recovered from the Munich Disaster, which could have been the end of them. Torino, for example, have had their future dramatically changed because of their air disaster. They were the best Italian team of all time, but ever since the disaster they've been stuck in the lower divisions.
  2. Yes but that person is still correct. We only got into the good on-the-pitch position that we were in before Roman because we invested more than we could afford. He may be a hypocrite if he chooses to ignore that Man United, too, only got to the top due to a huge injection of money at some point in their history; but I think that's normal for any fan of established 'big' clubs. 50 years down the track no-one's going to care that Chelsea only started winning league titles because of Abramovich's money. Fan's of the older 'big' clubs are usually arrogant wankers.
  3. How well they performed is irrelevant. At the end of the day they'll still the same when Terry hits Malouda's level, they will be two equally shit, past it players sitting on enormous wages while offering next to nothing to the team.
  4. We only got to our 90s success by spending way over our means. That guy you talked to was entirely correct. I don't hate Man United, I respect them.
  5. It's because he's Malouda and not someone else that the majority of you think he's a greedy cunt. Wait until Mr. Chelsea is a useless 35 year old. This forum will probably have a meltdown.
  6. I don't think they have gotten any better. I can't think of a single Moldovan player who was even an average player at an average club in any of the major leagues.
  7. It's spring right now, actually. It's only the extreme southern parts of the country (basically on the south or south-west coast/Tasmania) that have wetter winters. In NSW typically it rains far more in summer than winter.
  8. This is insanity. Fine, sunny, 29 degree day yesterday; a bitterly cold 15 degree day today with freezing winds.
  9. Nah-uh, I have Gangnam Style. I one-shot coffee before it cools down!
  10. To be fair though, you made that post when our only strikers were Drogba and Anelka. Didier had malaria, of course, and Anelka was off form. I don't think there would have been too many that disagreed with you then.
  11. But that can also lead to him renewing his faith in the players that underperformed. If our next game was 3 or 4 days after the Super Cup he would have certainly dropped them, it's not necessarily the case now.
  12. It doesn't matter if it's important or not, it won't be enforced. I'm not saying the principle of stopping clubs from getting in to the point of collapse is wrong. What I am saying is that FFP will not work because of the levels of corruption in top level sport worldwide.
  13. No he didn't. That was just what his ex-agent said, there's not a shred of truth in that. He just prefers my Liverpool to the English Liverpool.
  14. His statement here is entirely to boost his own ego and further his own credentials. He can't tell the truth of the matter, which is that he inherited a squad containing the best striker since Ronaldo; it'll make him look bad. We didn't lose because of tactics, we lost because we couldn't cope with Falcao and our players turned out some very sloppy performances, which you can't afford against anyone let alone Falcao.
  15. Don't overrate this Argentine shit-kicker turned manager. He's an idiot. We lost because of one R. Falcao who happened to put us to the sword with two world class finishes in the first 20 minutes. Perhaps its fat not muscle...
  16. Wait.. so it was taken without the consent of either of them by some third party? I'm pretty sure that's illegal in the EU, especially as we're talking about pornographic material. In Australia it's illegal to have any type of photo's of people without their permission, though obviously that's pretty much never enforced since no one really cares unless its being used as blackmail.
  17. It's because he took a stupid run up.
  18. Let them press. We'll play Ramires up front and hoof it up to him. His speed will exploit the gaps they leave behind.
  19. It's actually a very subtle form of social critique. It's not supposed to be humorous whatsoever, aside from his dancing.
  20. @, am I permitted to use gifs in my signature? I can swear I remember a thread about that but I can't find it.
