I think its fairly pointless to sell him now, if Di Matteo has his heart set on selling him he would do better to give him a new contract and sell him next summer, where we can get about 25-30 million from Liverpool.

The rule of thumb for us should be to cap transfers at 30 million. We just seem to have no luck with signing players rated at higher than that, and when we do get them, they flop.

Wigan early is great, they're pretty tough to beat when they have to scrap for relegation. Ideally we can avoid the bigger teams until the onset of winter. For the early months it would work out best if we were playing mid-table wank like Liverpool.
