  1. No I'm not... I was recognising that I made a mistake in that I judged Torres too early without knowing the whole story.
  2. To be fair, this isn't the first time he has managed to play massively below expectations.
  3. Why does Arsenal have a teddy bear? Is it a reference to the perceived youth of that squad vs. the more mature United and Spurs (hence them having a drink)?
  4. The Kalouda duo are still of some importance, they offer versatility and defensive responsibility. We can't let both leave at the same time, that would be a mistake comparable (although smaller scale) to letting Ballack, Cole, Belletti and Carvalho go. Better to let Flo Mo leave as we can still get decent money for him.
  5. I direct you to the post directly above yours. Oops
  6. And that is why I averaged a shade above 16.6666% in my final year of school at maths
  7. Well said, we should be savouring the moment not nitpicking on what someone said or didn't say. Sorry, I just read the full translated interview. If you read these forums (unlikely ), you have my apologies Mr. Torres.
  8. 30%. I'd say 50% for City and 30% for United as well.
  9. True, but I would imagine Platini would do all in his power to make it as tough for them as he made it for us by sanctioning idiots like Ovrebo to ref matches.
  10. Pfft.. none of you thought he was overrated before the match, no, he was going to score a hattrick on account of our poor defenders Really, he's just a shit Inzaghi. Perhaps more prolific than the great Pippo but he'll rarely score when you need him to. 25 goals past former East German mining outposts makes him a world class player?
  11. No one in the world has the right to say, I'll leave the club if Drogba doesn't. I don't care what they've achieved outside Chelsea, this guy is up there with Osgood as the greatest to ever pull on a blue shirt.
  12. Problem with Pep is that he would be awful in his first few seasons. We've got to get to an Arsenal-like stage in terms of our footballing philosophy to consider appointing him. Can you really imagine the likes of Meireles and Ramires being short passing, possession oriented players? Or John Terry as a Pique like figure from the back, sublime in technique and lacking in physique. Also, that 3-3-4/3-4-3 shit that he plays wouldn't work outside Spain/without Messi.
  13. To quote the Ivory Coast flag Drogba had: WHO NEEDS MESSI, WHEN WE'VE GOT KALOU WHO NEEDS MESSI, WHEN WE'VE GOT KALOU (should sound like the nursery rhyme, 10 green bottles)
  14. Didn't you see the little on the bottom right corner?
  15. I think City can take from this result that it may be a long, long time until they are European champions. It took us 9 years.
  16. Eden Hazard signs for Chelsea... http://www.faniq.com...lsea-Blog-49628
  17. Are we really going to get a star over the club crest? Seems a bit unnecessary, especially as the likes of Aston Villa, Liverpool and Man United don't.
  18. After a night of debauchery and a painful morning, I'm still over the moon
  19. Give him the job, Emenalo is a good Director of Football and can certainly back him up with quality signings. His media control, player motivation and tactical knowledge are already good enough to get him the job. He has great credentials now as well. In short, he is at least competent in the principal abilities of being a manager. If we let him slip we could rue the decision for decades.
  20. 100% agree. If you're good enough at something to pick up the attention of the very best, you deserve a fat paycheck.
  21. Cah surip might be an annoyance but he/she/it seems to have our best interests at heart. Perhaps the forum should get better security? Also, thanks for the new topic ticker bar Jim
  22. With regards to the clearout, it's very clear cut. The eldest of the squad barring the titan Drogba are no longer what we need. They're getting long in the tooth and should be rewarded with perhaps a coaching role at the club when they wind up their career in recognition for the great things they have done for us. I am referring to Malouda and Ferreira here, perhaps even Lampard. For the not so old- Bosingwa, Essien, Kalou- we can afford to lose all three, I guess. Essien needs to retire now, I think. It hurts me to say it as I love the Bison, but it hurts me even more to see a once great lion struggle to run down so much as a rabbit. Bosingwa, stellar performances against Barcelona and Bayern aside, he just does not seem to be able to defend well in the smaller games. A move would be beneficial for both parties, he's not first choice here and he's still fairly young enough to go somewhere else, establish himself and be a key role in winning trophies rather than a peripheral accessory. Kalou; for me; should certainly be retained. He's not easy to replace, difficult as that may be to believe. Where else are we going to get a cheap, versatile, hard working player who's rarely complained about not getting first team action and is at least superficially content to bide his time on the bench?
  23. If that's the case, Fernando can be shown the exit. Sorry mate, neither you nor any footballer on the planet is fit to even glance upon the face of Didier Drogba.
