Yeah I saw something similar in a transfer gossip: Reports in Brazil claim that Chelsea are readying a late bid for Sao Paolo's Lucas Moura.

It's all about good timing as you stated. With the exception of Porto, I can see how easily this fit. After Chelsea, Inter was already winning serie A with a good squad assemble by Mancini, and then Mounrinho got the couple of players and bang. Now with Madrid, a great squad assemble by Pellegrini, and bang. Not to take anything from Mourinho as he is a great coach, but I can clearly see where you are coming from. If he would take City it would be the same. A good squad built by Mancini and then bam! A real project that will take him 3 season would be Arsenal or Liverpool....3 season, well the same time frame AVB was hired for.

Yeah but at least is something. But then I realize that smaller teams from the premier might not have a bigger reserve team as say a Chelsea, United or City. This is silly thing to say. So a manager is wrong to think long term? Chelsea needs a long term manager, so a manager that wants to have a plan for the future is great!

What I think they should do is scrap the Carling Cup for Premier League teams. More like if you want the premier league team, then put the reserve side/youth do that! England is the only country I see with 4 cups for regular team. If you make the Carling Cup the way it is minus the regular teams from the PL and add the reserves, then that would be a descent step up of competition for the reserves. As regular teams don't care much about Carling cup!

This is great. KDB is a good signing for that price. Not an impact player like Hazard, but def will be kicking some butt in 2 or 3 seasons with our other younger players. Now buy Canales for cheap from Real Madrid!

Well he would suck if he sticks with players like Kalou, Malouda, Mikel, Ferreira and such. He would need to buy new players like AVB has to do. So because of that, yes I am intruige to see how AVB would do with top players as we already seen it with Mourinho.

I often wonder how Wenger would have done at Madrid with all those players and money? Madrid loves to play good foobtall like Arsenal....they should just hire him, and let Mourinho go to Arsenal. Yeah he will leave Real Madrid this summer no doubt about it. He had enough there. But I am of the opinion that he needs to try German League. A Bayern Munich at least. If not, then I don't see him anywhere else but City. And Mourinho has already build a reputation of a "nomad" So if he comes he might get fed up again and leave in a couple of years. We need to build for long term, thus AVB should stay.
