I don't think we will get players that are Conte priority this late in the transfer window. We will just get left over.

Chelsea vs Liverpool is the first real test for Conte and the team. We shall see how things progress from now till then.

I'm no longer watching this match, it's so boring for me. Reminds me of Chelsea of last season with Mourinho. That being said I still expect United to win, but best waste my time watching a movie then this boring match.

Well I wrote this on the Ivan thread and it's the case here: If he is so bad then the younger players must be even worse as they can't get ahead of him. Or its like I been saying, the clubs wants youth but continually get managers that are not good for this.....

Same line up as Mourinho and Hiddink. What was the point of the sacking if we are doing the same thing? Same line up got us 10th place. With Kante in it as long as he stays fit we should get 6th.

I doubt that. If the managers doesn't like the player he won't play. Look at what happen with Felipe. This is why it's better to just get the target of the manager or get nothing. It's a waste to the player and club getting unnecessary buys.

Waste of money me thinks. If this is not the manager first choice why buy? He will not like it and the player ends up eating bench. Stupid to waste money on such things.

Well there's no shakeup in the board. It's always the managers fault. If they sack Conte I give up with this board. They must realize that if they can't get the business done then don't have high expectation. Making top 4 is not guaranteed with this defense.

When you get managers like Mourinho and Conte who are not good for youth, then you will get little done....well to be fair Conte might a bit better then Mourinho in that situation. But you need to get managers like Pochetinno for that.

I don't think I'm surprised to be honest. Said the same thing was going to happen like last season. Waste your time chasing targets that you can't get and now we will settle for less. I much rather not settle for less and just stay where we at. Because what's the point of getting other players like Miazga, Pata, Papy, and Hector when they don't contribute nothing and then get send out on loans.....

Sorry don't see it with this defense 2 years older. City, United, Arsenal, Liverpool and tottenham ahead of us. So making us 6th, that's about right with this defense.

Yeah I don't think the club should sack the manager this season. Doesn't make sense since they fail in getting the players in. They need to realize that because of their incompetents in the market we can't compete for the title we should hope at best for a 6th place. That would be an improvement from last season. Top 4 will be above the expected target. If they want to challenge then they need to do business and not mess around.

Anything was what we got last season in Hector and Pappy. Not worth the time to do that again. Board failed and just stay with what you get. Just lower the expectations. This team is not good enough to win the PL, maybe top 4 but I think we will finish in 6th place. Now if they sack Conte for finishing 6th place then the board are delusional. So if they failed in getting the players in then don't expect the club to do well, you need to be satisfied with mediocrity.....

You don't do the in less then a week when you had half a year to deal with it. The bottom line is that it will not happen. The targets they want will be unattainable. So the worst thing that they will do is go for similar targets like last year. And they should not do that. They failed again so don't panic now. Why waste money on players that are only going to be send out on loan and not worth the trouble?
