  1. Everyone will fight for their place. Its healthy.
  2. For me its: Falcao > Ibrahimovic > RVP > Aguero> Cavani/Benzema > Tevez > Lewandowski > Higuain
  3. I have a good feeling this will workout. He can bring us success.
  4. Some will say "Hell no, never!". However they are only lying to themselves.
  5. When I see people calling him 'Rafa' and even when I myself call him that, it just seems...odd and out of place. Its weird, like I'm doing something I shouldn't. It might change, actually I'm sure it will, however right now he seems like he will never fit in here. This is how I feel even though I am far less phased by it then a lot of you, so I can only imagine how angry some of you are. A lot of it is just so surreal and confusing. It (RDM's firing and Benitez's hiring) happened so quickly, like a mob hit or assassination or something. Its just a haze. It happened within hours before you could even process the information. When I first found out about the sacking it felt like a video game. However there are things more important than this. A manager is not the be all and end all. The players are still the same as is the badge on that royal blue shirt they wear. We have to trust 'Rafa' (I had that feeling again...) and go along for the ride. I'm confident he can do fairy well here and keep us in the top 3 (Yes top 3, not 4). If Rafa gets our defense in order, we are back in business because going forward we're so immense (minus the Striker which we're likely to rectify in January). The title may be too far a gap for this season (Next season, without even knowing the circumstances we will surely be the favorites). However you never know, I don't think the gap between Citeh, ManUre and us is big enough even to acknowledge. The only thing holding us back is squad depth and a Striker. Hopefully Benitez signs some gems like Isco and the club continues to pursue Falcao, perhaps Willian etc. Anyway, keep us performing Rafa.
  6. Benitez may love to use Romeu (The whole Spanish connection). He'll try to mould Romeu into a player that somewhat resembles the play style of Alonso. I also think he'll start choosing Azpilicueta as he is a natural RB and also the Spanish thing.
  7. So just to summarise, Benitez will •Use a 4-2-3-1 system. •Perhaps use Oscar in the pivot to emulate what he had at Livershite (Alonso) and in general emphasise this area's importance and need for ball players •Get us playing more structured football (perhaps switching to counter attacking football) and thus detract from our new possession style. •Use wingers who bring natural width but also defensive abilities, putting Hazard/Mata's position in danger •Use Torres non-stop So our team could look like: ---------------------Cech------------------- --Azpilicueta--Ivanovic--Cahill--Cole-- ---------Mikel/Romeu----Oscar----------- -Moses-----------Mata----------Hazard--- --------------------Torres--------------------- Perhaps he may even use Bertrand or Ramires (it is looking likely) on the wing again like RDM did. Marin will get more looks in now.
  8. Good thing is Benitez will rotate a lot more. I'm finding more and more positives from the Benitez appointment.
  9. Yep. Good ol' Grey as shit London (and England in General)
  10. I think he can sort out our defense. I hope he drops Luiz. If we stop leaking goals we can be formidable again.
  11. No need. KDB is waiting in the wings. He has the potential to be world class. We don't need to buy someone as it would halt KDB's progress. Mikel on the other hand has pretty much hit his limit. A solid yet unspectacular limit. A great DM would help a lot.
  12. We don't need Fellaini or Moutinho. We need a true DM.
  13. He has been increasingly overrated the less he's played (odd).
  14. His position isn't too important as he can play just about anywhere in midfield. As a Regista, normal CM, Behind the Striker or even on the wings. This kid will make it here for sure.
  15. This guy is Mediocre and overpriced. How do I know? I remember seeing comments about how Germans said he is no better than Marin.
  16. He's apparently never fully recovered. Liverpool overused him a lot as well.
  17. If he brings back Old Torres (as impossible as it seems) he would have been worth it.
  18. I hope Rafa doesn't bench Hazard. Out of the 3 Maestros something tells me Hazard is in the most danger from Rafa's system.
  19. Would love it, if he bought Isco. No-one else though. Just stick to our targets before Rafa. i.e Falcao.
  20. 1. Are you sure Rafa will come in and change the first team straight away? I think (hope) since this game is just days after his appointment he will just play our regular/settled first XI and not mess with too much as he still needs to learn about our players himself. He will give the likes of Marin and Moses chances to prove themselves to him perhaps in later games. 2. If from now he starts leaving out Hazard and Oscar from the starting lineup it'll be horrible. I think we may see him playing only 2 of the 3 Maestro's at the same time from now on. It could be a good move though due to us having a stronger option on the bench, having one of the Maestro's always ready and rested and allowing for the 2 of 3 playing to have more space.
  21. The appointment of Rafa has actually made me more confident about this game. Nothing to do with Rafa himself but just due to the fact that this may get the players on their toes and freshen them up.
  22. I guess I'm one of the few who are not too phased with this whole thing. I don't care what other people think of our club. RDM wasn't the man for us. He was clearly going to be sacked anyways and yes while it was too soon, its perhaps better to just accelerate the process before it dragged on (ala AVB) and destroyed our season again.
