Ake scored thewinner yesterday against Scotland U19s (Feruz and Davey) from a corner, to make it 2-1.

Captain for Belgium U17s

Mikel is a key player for Nigeria who are now in the final. He has the highest pass completion rate and most chances created in the tournament

Atletico were never going to give him up without a fight. Not even them - Courtois will now have a pick of the best clubs in the world thanks to his good form. I think it is naive to think he'd, 'wait' for 2-3 years for Cech (who is still class mind), when he could go to Barce, Atletico, Juve etc.

He has won Czech young player of the year. Cech as usual has also won Czech player of the year (6 times in a row, a new record).

Vitesse are a good team as well, really improved since the days we loaned Matic there. Challenging for CL places now.
-
Really? I think we have a great young talent, been one of Vitesse's best players for the past 18 months and he joined them when he had just turned 18.
-
True, plus it's not the height but the willingness to jump and the power one can get on the header, you sometimes see tall players like Sturridge and Mikel not really challenge balls in the air. This is the Omeruo thread!
-
Rumours he will stay at WBA next season as well.
-
I'm not sure really, I was surprised when I found out Aké was just 5"11 as he rarely gets shown up for strength/aerial ability at youth level but then that could completely change at senior level. He has the tools to make it in both positions, think it's too early to say where he'll definitely end up. Players like Phil Jones and Puyol are 5"11 and below so it's not unheard of.

At the moment it looks more likely KDB than McEachran who has tailed off in recent weeks. Great news for Chalobah, he deserves it. He is right up there with Sterling, Will Hughes, and Luke Shaw. Also would it be possible to move this thread to normal player profiles as Chalobah definitely isn't youth anymore.

Second season in a row he's ripped City apart as well.

Can't believe people are so stubborn when it comes to Sturridge they can't even have a semblance of admittance that it could be a mistake selling him. I don't understand when they say things like ,"I don't care about Sturridge, average player, won't miss him", and then get so blatantly wound up if he even infers anything about Chelsea, or if someone says something positive about himself. They obviously care about him then. Or their pride.. People's reactions to Sturridge going is no different to people commenting on AVB/RDM compared to Rafa, while AVB is doing well, or no different to comments I see a lot about how it was a mistake to loan x and y out and keep so and so. But people just seem to be very bitter about it when it comes to Sturridge.

Daniel Sturridge, first 4 goals in just 7 games, £12m. Fernando Torres, first 4 goals in 43 games, £50m.

ACON is the first time I've seen him play - but definitely promising. The guy is 19 (wouldn't think it looking at him. Nigerian so you never know.. ) and is being selected over the NIgeria captain (Yobo) for a game against arguably the best African side on paper - and he does well. I don't think he's as, 'talented' as Kalas and Ake but he still has good potential I reckon. He has the physicality that neither naturally posess.Kalas is faster and more comfortable on the ball, has got some assists from crosses this season so he could maybe make that his permanent position. Very competitive there with Azpi, Kane, Wallace and Kalas/Omeruo depending on where they play in the future. Liking what I've seen from Omeruo so far.

MIKEL: Recent form shows just how much we miss him. - http://bit.ly/12eAY2N

@ChelseaRumours: Atletico Madrid & Thibaut Courtois have just conceded a goal at home, ending a 1000+ minute streak.

Called upto U21s with Chalobah.

Super Eagles’ defender Kenneth Omeruo underlined his growing profile and his closeness to securing a return to parent club Chelsea of England after the Stamford Bridge sent scouts to watch him and their other players featuring at South Africa 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. A representative of the Nigerian told SportingLife from Holland that Chelsea are closely monitoring Omeruo and their other players to see how the Africa’s soccer fiesta pan out for them individually. He revealed that Chelsea’s scouts had met with Omeruo and the duo of John Mikel Obi and Victor Moses to congratulate them on their impressive performance thus far and for guiding Nigeria to the quarter final of 2013 AFCON. “Chelsea are seriously monitoring their players they released for 2013 AFCON and they are also considering bringing back Omeruo whom they had sent scouts to watch in Holland with ADO Den Haag and at the current Nations Cup. “The 75 per cent appearance clause may hinder Kenneth’s bid to go back to Chelsea but there are strong indications that it may be overlooked for him to secure work permit. We are still studying the situation before saying anything. “We thank God for the form of Kenneth in South Africa and it showed he got his place in the team on merit. “We have not concluded whether he is going back to Chelsea or remaining with ADO but one thing is sure, Kenneth will like to be where he would be guaranteed playing time if he is in top form. If he won’t be assured that at Chelsea,it is better he remains with ADO for another stint,” Omeruo’s representative informed. Omeruo has impressed me so far in ACON. While I don't think he has the talent Ake and Kalas have, I still feel he has good potential as a CB, certainly good enough for Chelsea, and he posseses the height and strength that Kalas and Ake do not have (so much). If he does make it at Chelsea I could see it as a CB though, just a feeling.

Called up to U21s

Got an assist as well. His movement IMO is excellent. He is rarely offside and he makes smart, quick runs that defended fail to catch alot, may remember some runs he made off the last defender when the team have a quick FK for example.

Bouomamaonaoananette (a little elf from Argentina) has left Malaga, was a playmaker so allows for more chances for Piazon should Malaga bring no replacement in.

What is he like at rushing? For the Swansea game first leg I think if Cech was in goal we may not have conceded those two goals as he is always on his feet, he'll stay on the edge of his box in possession, and will come running out at the first hint of danger to clear. Yes, it does sometimes backfire (Juve away), but most of the time it works. The game after Swansea 1st leg Ivanovic again had a short back pass that their striker was running onto but Cech got there before, saving another chance. Lloris is also good at this, and as more team's start playing out the back may be important for 'keepers.
