Torres after Ba scored:
-
If so we'd be arguing a lot.
-
Ba and Sturridge would be so much better than Ba and Torres.
-
Sounds like he had a good game today. A few City fans on twitter praising him. PL loan next season hopefully, the way he's going.
-
@ChelseaActivity: #CFC have a clause in De Bruynes contract, which allows the club to recall him back this month. May not, but its there should Lamps go. First I've heard of this. I'm loathe to buy a new midfielder as I think we have 4 excellent young prospects (and that is not even thinking about the younger ones like Baker, Swift and RLC), and I feel we can utilise them in the squad. However only KDB is ready short term, and I'm loathe to recall him January. He's done well, but to come in and be under such pressure? He would have to do well for the good of his career. I'm not sure.

Made his debut for Nigeria yesterday. My parents are Nigerian, looking forward to rooting our 3 Chelsea boys

Sorry, was trying to edit my original post.

I find it funny how Torres has been out paced in, in for the former two, ass raped in the past couple of games by 35 year old Ryan Nelsen, 35 year old Sylvain Distin, 35 year old-looks-like-an-OAP Shaun Derry and 35 year old Sylvain Distin. He's so slow now.
-
Lol, Sturridge would never have gone for 20m+. Do you rate him that highly then? That is like saying because Liverpool were interested in Suarez he's a bad player.
-
Just as much managers who have played him. I am not sure if you are counting Carlo - but you shouldn't considering Sturridge was just 19 when he was first playing under him. AVB and Coyle played him and was justified. RDM the only one who didn't play him - as interim he was interested in short term benefits, hence a more reliable, practical and experienced team at the expense of talent and exuberance. Romeu was also dropped for Mikel in a similar move but not much is made of that. This season he was unlucky with injuries and RDM was very likely to have started him against Juve with what he was saying. Rafa he was inured the whole team he was with him.
-
Saying he's happy being a winger is bitching? Of course, only when you are Sturridge.
-
Sturridge: "I'd never refuse to play on the wing and I've never demanded to play up front." Which is exactly what I was saying.
-
Good luck to Sturridge. We'll regret this.

Chelsea scout de Vissier on Kakuta: "When Kakuta moved from France to London to join Chelsea, Gael was on record as a huge talent. He is a fantastic footballer with good vision. "Kakuta has been unlucky a few times with loan spells. During the last three years he has simply had too little football. If it is such a long time between games, it takes a long time before you get into the right rhythm. "Once Gael started in Arnhem, he had a huge delay, now with Rutten he has the chances and you see him get better week by week. But there is still another step needed."
-
Chelsea scout de Vissier on Kalas: "Kalas played last season as a central defender and already enormous progress has been made. At right-back, he is doing that again. His attitude, concentration and drive are pluses. Hes a winner who will bend over backwards to do the maximum possible. "With Fred Rutten, Kalas has a coach whose specific training will help him know him better. Tomas requires a year, maybe two, but he will eventually come back to the Premier League. "Chelsea will not bring him back in the winter, perhaps in the summer, it will be around that time that the club will take a look."
-
Chelsea scout de Vissier on PVA: "Under the previous Vitesse coach, John van den Brom last season, Van Aanholt had no chance", De Visser told Dutch daily De Telegraaf. "Now Patrick has the confidence of Fred Rutten and we will see how quickly he can develop. I said to Patrick recently to focus on football and then there will be quicker progress. How he is and his speed along the flanks, it is fantastic. "If Patrick continues in this way, he could return to Chelsea faster than people think. "That his name is mentioned in connection with the Oranje I can understand. Van Aanholt is not worse than Alexander Buttner or Jetro Willems. And he is faster than Erik Pieters. "But lets not be too hasty. Allow Patrick first to finish the current season well."
-
Lukaku has said how he does not want to be recalled, it would be unfair to do so against the players wishes.
-
Recalling Lukaku wouldn't do much other than cover for Torres. We need someone better then him. Sturridge could have been that man, but unfortunately he's gone. Ba could be that mean, but rumour has it he's out of our grasp as well.
-
Yeah, was just about to say, his next match is against City. Big match for him. Is it live? I think he could fill any midfield position. Box to box, or a more static regista, even an attacking midfielder. Could probably be one of those players who you could see playing anywhere. In a 4-3-3 I think he'd be equally adept at the aforementioned box to box role or just a DM. I would prefer DM at his age, and then he can grow into a more attacking role.

Physically Chalobah is fine. He used to be very skinny, and abit small (remember when he came on in 2010 as a sub in a pre-season friendly? He looked tiny), but watching him on Friday, he's pretty big now. 6"2 at least, and he's quite imposing. You won't see him rushing around like a headless chicken sliding in because he's not that type of player. Generally he's always positioned well enough that he doesn't have to. He's also a danger in the air now as well.
-
Great news. I think the club are handling his development very well. They have never stopped him from progressing just because of his age eg. he's always been playing at a level above his age, but club allowed it to happen as he was that good.
