Watched the first half hour and he did look quite uncomfortable
-
Onto the Chelsea match now. But Chalobah played pretty well from what I saw, suits Middlesborough's possession based game
-
Omeruo just involved in a penalty shout, ref could have given it another day. 50-50
-
Looks like it's Omeruo at CB this time

Game is live today..of course the only Middlesborough game live is also the same time as our Chelsea match pretty much. May record it

He has finished 90 minutes three times for Middlesborough and he lnly arrived in Mid-jan, fans seem generally impressed by him, most want Leadbitter dropped and Chalobah to keep starting.
-
Seems like he played a portion of the game against old team Watford at CB, more than one saying he looked more uncomfortable there than midfield. Also Watford fans aren't happy - apparently some handbags with him and Foresteri that earned him a round of boos

Chelsea superkid Charly Musonda is wanted back in Belgium. Musonda is now part of Chelsea's U21 squad. Het Nieuwsblad says Zulte Waregem and Anderlecht are both keen to sign Chelsea's Belgian starlet Musonda on loan next season.

At Liverpool he tracks back more, he tends to even cover at LB sometimes, though he still doesn't press as vigourously as a Suarez/Tevez. Even under Mourinho our strikers don't tend to cover that much distance simply pressing and tracking back, he tends to want them in space for the counter. Also don't necessarily agree his all round play is not good enough for us, certainly tactically he's good with the ball at his feet and can link up play(indeed I feel this part of his game is underrated), however do agree that as a physical option that is a weakness to his game. His heading is poor(and his movement/anticipatiobis so good he will often get headed chances but he doesn't time the headers well) and he does shy away from physical battles IMO. Would still gladly take him back, but won't happen.

http://www.statsbomb.com/2014/02/we-need-to-talk-about-daniel-sturridge/ Agree with this article that he's always looked a good player, and that he still doesn't really get the recognition he deserves.

I just like the fact his middle name is apparently 'Happy'

Waiting for his Chelsea chance: Tomas Kalas wanted to go on loan but Mourinho refused all offers | http://t.co/61I5RFK0JS

No way would he command a fee of £15m yet.. £10m would be a very good deal.

"We brought Josh on to help push [Ben Watson] forward a little more, whilst still being able to start the play from the back. Josh enabled us to do that but it was also a chance for me to see where Josh is up to in terms of his fitness and I have to say he was magnificent when he got on the ball, moving it through the lines and creating the first goal." Rosler (Wigan manager) I do like how he seems to have a personal interest in the player. Not the first quote he's made praising him individually. Seems to know what his play's all about - hopefully he can have a succesful loan here

He and Omeruo seemed to do well today in their first starts for Middlesborough. This paragraph also intrigued me from a blog post from Plains of Almeria about Kakuta and our loans in general: http://plainsofalmeria.co.uk/2014/01/29/the-curious-case-of-gael-kakuta/ "Nathaniel Chalobah’s disappointing loan spell at Nottingham Forest was characterised by his willingness to play football and Davies’ unwillingness to let him. Asking a player of that ability and talent, who shone as a kid at Watford in midfield, to simply play direct and not “dwell” (i.e. take a touch and look for a decent pass) does what for his development? If anything it puts a cross against him as the loan itself is looked upon as a failure. Why are we putting players into these banal long ball sides with no intent of developing them? Why are we letting inferior coaches and managers reduce talented players to simply becoming water carriers? It makes no sense."

By all accounts did well today in his debut for Middlesborough, I think he started at CB.
-
I think he's benefitted from the lack of 'hype' around him, especially compared to players like Josh and Kakuta. When he first went to MK Dons a year ago he still took a few games to get going but he was allowed that time,(while if a more hyped player had a slow start there'd be a big ruckus).
-
The irony that this is possibly the most delusional comment on this thread.

It'll probably also improve his peripheral vision

When I think of Azpilicueta I think the same thing, I can't think of anything about his play that is exceptional - but he's still a good player and currently our best full back in my opinion.
