  1. What does criticism have to do with respect? I only agree with you on Genk, Everton, Swansea, QPR and Bayer matches. However, a world class player does not go missing at every chance against class opposition. Remember when last season he was demolished by Valencia at OT? Well, these games are happening more frequently and it's a big worry.
  2. Do tell which games this season he impressed you in then.
  3. No, it's not. It's from the start of last season to the point when we bought him. He had 9 goals in 22 PL games, I believe.
  4. Luiz should have been off, but linking injuries with a 11v11 game is not right.
  5. Torres had averaged a goal in every two league games at a very poor scouser side when we bought him, hardly poor form.
  6. That's not slavery, even if there was an actual buy back clause. They can't force him to join them.
  7. I can't wait until Mikel/Torres leave so you finally understand that they perform a crucial and key part of our game. Warming benches is an art my friend, and we won't find anyone better at it than those two.
  8. Ivan, JT and David "10 year old playing with a playstation controller" Luiz performed far more admirably in their defensive duties than Cole has. Going forward he has been decent and contributed a few assists but was torn apart again and again against top teams. Even in the Valencia game he was the weakest link.
  9. Cole hasn't played consistently well since exactly one year ago mate.
  10. We all hate Arsenal but they did sell the players who wanted to leave (albeit later). If his hearts not here in a few years, I just hope we get the fee that his performance warrants.
  11. I know, but AVB wouldn't just come out and say that he wants X player because player Y is not performing. Cole has been really, really poor and if his form continues for a long period of time, we might need to seek a replacement. Or promote Bertrand to first choice.
  12. Kalou and Turnbull deserve a banner more than Torres
  13. He is really likeable I have to say. I just wonder whether he is still adapting to the league and growing. If so, then we got ourselves a fine player. He is the second assist leader in the premier league after Silva, just one assist away.
  14. Great news, he has been nothing short of fantastic. I disagree with AVB about the transfers (though I doubt he will be honest about who he needs or who he will go for) 1) Essien is not the type of player we require in central midfield, and there is absolutely no guarantee he will be as good as before, let alone a prime Essien. 2) With Alex leaving we are dangerously short on squad depth at centreback. Should bosingwa go too, and he should, we would be one injury away from total collapse at the back. Maybe not Cahill, but should Alex and/or Bosingwa leave, we will need a new defender. 3) Regarding Cole, he has been one of the worst performers under AVB. I know Perreira is too expensive, but if AVB feels that we need him, we should get him. The best alternative would be to give Bertrand some games against weaker opponents and then see if he can up his game.
  15. I agree with you, the owners are complete twats. But it's far easier to replace a manager than to replace the owners. That's why they protest against him rather than Venkys, who by the way, attend one match a season. Nah, appointing the clown, Kean, was the worst
  16. If we get hoilet, he must never be played in the wide areas. He never tracks back and is a far more rubbish defender than the likes of Mata.
  17. I don't want him either, with his injury record. Especially not for the 30-50m roman will splash on him. As a sidenote on Tevez to Milan, are they trying to create the most c*ntish team possible?
  18. Why? I know he had one year on his contract, but Nasri is a FAR more inferior player and went for roughly the same. Robben is fantastic, easily in the top five players in the world.
  19. Samba is 28, isn't he? Ideal age of signings should be 22-26
  20. We may wish him the best, but it doesn't mean it will happen. What indications do you have that he will return to his best? I genuinely like the guy but we are wasting 180k per week for roughly 20mins of gametime. Should a team like PSG or Anzhi come in with a decent bid, AVB should consider it. It's not too late, we can still recoup 50% of our investment and save on the wages too.
  21. I am not stating, I am just hopeful that he leaves this transfer window. And that sum is likely the highest anyone would offer us. He also only plays 10 mins a game, even though Didier looks exhausted from the first half. Does that look like trust from the manager to you? The more time passes and he sits on the bench the more his value goes down. I won't be surprised should he leave on a free or a ridiculously low fee in a few years. Should we get a proper winger in January, why wouldn't Sturridge do a job as a central striker for roughly five matches?
  22. He's not good enough to be a premier league manager. Results are the most important part of football and quite simply he can't deliver. His win ratio prior to the Swansea game was around 17%, the second worst record of a Premier League manager ever I believe.
  23. That makes little to no sense. Luiz has no link to the Brazil squads that won the world cups, and furthermore he has been suspect at CB making various mistakes, being out of his position and making rash challenges. Carroll is part of a team who won many titles and European cups, does that mean that he should not receive criticism for his terrible displays?
  24. The bidders said that every player had to go hug their manager when a goal is scored in order to come here? They don't like AVB and won't host in a country where he lives?
