  1. Why even go to sleep for only a short time when you could stay awake till kick-off?
  2. He's from Bosnia but I'm sure they hated Nazis too.
  3. An attacking midfielder with even more than 26 assists? But seriously speaking, there's absolutely no way Mata gets benched regularly next season, no matter who we sign.
  4. The homepage looks classy and that new navigation bar is also nice. Forum a little laggy at the moment but doesn't matter because the updates are always welcome and I'm sure the site will be fast again soon enough. When I have some extra money I promise I'm going to donate to the cause but atm I'm a bit short already and won't be able to help just yet.
  5. Marin signing was faster. First rumoured in the morning and signed a couple of hours after. That's the way I like it.
  6. Fixed it for ya. Nene is probably on his way out and if he leaves then Menez can take the place on the right flank and Lavezzi switch to the left like it was on the lineup you posted. They'd be stupid to sell him though because he was by far their best player last season. Their full-backs are still shite and while it may be enough to dominate the Ligue 1 without contest, it is still very much lightweight when it comes to big European matches. Of course they still have money and time to enter the market for a full-back or two and if they do, they have imo a good chance of challenging for the CL title. Their players are mostly top class and with Ancelotti's experience, who knows how far PSG can go. A while back they were still offering something ridiculous like 40/1 for PSG to win the CL and because I consider them to be way better than that I put a cheeky bet on it. They're still outsiders even with a couple of further signings but 40/1 is something they'd normally offer to teams like Valencia. If we don't win the CL, I sure as hell hope PSG win it.
  7. A Champions League winning manager would never agree to be an assistant again so isn't this thread a bit pointless?
  8. So hard to think of an order because almost all of them play in different positions but here's a balanced mixture of attackers, midfielders and defenders: Ronaldo Messi Aguero Özil Mata Pirlo Barzagli Kompany Sergio Ramos Cech
  9. Of course, Emenalo has had and will continue to have a huge influence on choosing the players we go after and credit to him for that, but Gourlay still deserves a shout for making it all happen and not just sit on his arse like he used to.
  10. I believe it's 3:30 am, Thursday morning.
  11. Yeah, he's been great recently. All the new signings, AVB having no pay-off, all the new sponsorship deals etc. Let's all give a big hand to this man:
  12. Relax guys, that's obviously just a load of bullshit. He has only a year left on his contract, and last year when Nasri was in a similar contract situation they sold him for less than that £25m and everyone rated Nasri higher than Walcott. We aren't getting him and if he does leave Arsenal it will most likely be to Liverpool for something like 10-15m. Or £25m plus, because with Liverpool and English players you can never know for sure, just look at Downing.
  13. They already reported that yesterday and wouldn't it be stupid to come up with a headline like that when recycling 'old' news? Also, that potential deal for Oscar wouldn't be the biggest transfer of the summer by any stretch of imagination.
  14. Because Sky Sports said 6 am and that was nearly 10 hours ago, and nothing has happened since then?
  15. Two hours ago Lalkovic tweeted "Changed england for 37 degreess portugal hello !!! Haha" so I guess it's somewhat confirmed already that he has gone to Portugal. No info on the club and whether or not it's a permanent deal or a loan. However, I'm having a very hard time believing that all this is somehow related to a deal for Hulk, but stranger things have happened I suppose.
  16. I was under the impression that Malouda didn't yet travel with the squad because of the Euros?
  17. They're like Pokemon, gotta catch 'em all. All the young Belgian talent, I mean.
  18. Silly rumour. Weren't Napoli after Meireles a while back? If so, I suppose we could try to negotiate a deal to include Meireles going to Napoli as part of the deal to lower the price a bit, but I think it would still be way too expensive. Also, we would have to get rid of Torres before buying him, no point having them both. I would rate Cavani over Torres any day but not sure if this is worth all the hassle and I would rather see the long-awaited right winger arrive instead of a new centre-forward, no matter how awesome he is.
  19. I love it how he has renamed all the Oscar videos to include "(Fuck Chelsea) #Arsenal" in the title. Bitter much?
  20. So let me get this straight, first Sky Sports were reporting "Chelsea end Oscar talks" and said the deal isn't happening and then less than two hours from that they report the deal is as good as done. Talk about giving mixed signals...
  21. The award is given to the best player of 2012 and the winner is chosen by a bunch of journalists, making it essentially the same as Ballon d'Or was before it was merged together with FIFA Player of the Year award. Here's the full list of nominees: Sergio Agüero (ARG) – Manchester City FC Xabi Alonso (ESP) – Real Madrid CF Mario Balotelli (ITA) – Manchester City FC Jakub Błaszczykowski (POL) –Borussia Dortmund Gianluigi Buffon (ITA) – Juventus Iker Casillas (ESP) – Real Madrid CF Petr Čech (CZE) – Chelsea FC Fábio Coentrão (POR) – Real Madrid CF Leslie Davies (WAL) – Bangor City FC Didier Drogba (CIV) – Chelsea FC (now at Shanghai Shenhua FC) Cesc Fàbregas (ESP) – FC Barcelona Falcao (COL) – Atlético Madrid Joe Hart (ENG) – Manchester City FC Zlatan Ibrahimović (SWE) – AC Milan Andrés Iniesta (ESP) – FC Barcelona Shinji Kagawa (JPN) – Borussia Dortmund (now at Manchester United FC) Vincent Kompany (BEL) – Manchester City FC Frank Lampard (ENG) – Chelsea FC Lionel Messi (ARG) – FC Barcelona Luka Modrić (CRO) – Tottenham Hotspur FC Mesut Özil (GER) – Real Madrid CF Pepe (POR) – Real Madrid CF Andrea Pirlo (ITA) – Juventus Sergio Ramos (ESP) – Real Madrid CF Raúl González (ESP) – FC Schalke 04 (now at Al-Sadd Sports Club) Cristiano Ronaldo (POR) – Real Madrid CF Wayne Rooney (ENG) – Manchester United FC David Silva (ESP) – Manchester City FC Fernando Torres (ESP) – Chelsea FC Yaya Touré (CIV) – Manchester City FC Robin van Persie (NED) – Arsenal FC Xavi Hernández (ESP) – FC Barcelona Who do you think will win it? There are three Chelsea players (+ Drogba of course) nominated and I would be thrilled if any of them won this but sadly I don't believe they can compete when everything is about Messi and Ronaldo these days. Personally I would go with Ronaldo because Real Madrid were by far the better team this year but only time will tell and who knows, maybe Messi is even more phenomenal for the first half of 12/13 season and gets the better of Cristiano. P.s. On a side note, who the fuck is Leslie Davies and what has he done to even be nominated for this prestigious award?
