What a feeling again, never a dull moment being a Chelsea supporter. Not particularly a good season but out of nowhere the team still manages to win a trophy and the season ends with a high. Happens most years, take note Arsenal. There's no way Hazard was sober when the boys lifted the trophy, must have had a few drinks during the game.

Maybe Monaco would fancy Torres too? After 22 goals this season and important goals during our Europa League run, I'd say 25m is a fair price for them.
-
Or maybe Moses is just not fit enough to start the game and we simply had no other options to take on the bench and even a half fit Moses is better than naming only six subs. Benfica's left winger is Rodrigo, if I'm not mistaken. Or Eduardo Salvio if Rodrigo plays up front.

According to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, we have offered Roma €12m for De Rossi. Can't see such a transfer happening, especially with the way he snubbed Manchester City last year, but a player like him would be amazing for our midfield. Turning 30 in July but still plenty of years left at top level. PSG and again Man City also rumored to be interested. edit: Seconds too late, damn you @xPetrCechx

True, Cahill shouldn't play because of his poor form but we may not have a choice. Terry is injured and too many midfielders injured as well which mean we probably need Luiz to play there. If it's true that Moses is injured too, we're going to have the weakest bench we've had all season. No strikers and hardly any midfielders. Attacking-wise our only available substitutes may end up being Benayoun and Marin, who hasn't played in ages. Can see Romeu making the bench today and he could be set to play his first game in over five months in a cup final.

2009? I know this nightmare we've had with the ladyboy seems like a lifetime but it's only been two and a half years.

Too bad they both can't miss out. Maybe Spurs, it would be priceless to knock them out two years in a row.

Good choices! Just read the HG trilogy too and straight after my exams finished I started reading ASOIAF. Great minds think alike, it would seem. Or not, because @Rmpr has been reading these books too. HG was decent, took only a week to finish the whole trilogy though so there wasn't a lot to read. In ASOAIF there's much more and so far I've read only around two thirds of the first part, A Game of Thrones. Having watched two and a half seasons of the TV series I pretty much knew what to expect and it hasn't disappointed. Looking forward to getting to the parts which haven't yet been shown on TV, if I'm not mistaken the third season is largely based on the third book, A Storm of Swords. Might take a while till I reach that point, these books are massive.

Aww, how cute. You sure they're your kids cause they look nothing like you? Or have they inherited their good looks only from their mom? Just kidding.

One day ticket to a rock festival in Helsinki called Rock the Beach. There's Green Day, Stone Sour and Queens of the Stone Age as well as some other decent bands but those are the ones I'm looking forward to. On the last day there would've been Rammstein, 30 Seconds to Mars and Paramore which I would've liked too but a three day ticket was too expensive for me and I may have some other plans for that day.

Apparently Moses has picked up an injury. Benayoun to start?

Too bad Arsenal are winning by so many goals, now a draw against Everton won't be enough for third place if Arsenal win Newcastle.

Lukaku is going on loan because that's what the man himself wants. Ba is a good squad player and if Cavani or some other top class striker comes in, Ba will have to accept a smaller role because no chance in hell should we bench Mata just for Ba's sake, that's one of the most ridiculous things someone's suggested in a long time. And I really don't give a fuck what happens to the ladyboy, he can either leave or do a Bogarde if he's cuntish enough but if we want to challenge for the league title, then parasites like Fernando Torres will have absolutely no place in the team.
-
Yes, and why the fuck should we marginalize Mata for the ladyboy? GTFO
-
Ramires missing out is good for Chelsea because now he can have a proper break in the summer, feel for him on a personal level though. Looking at that midfield, Scolari may end up playing Luiz at CM.

Yes, Dirk Kuyt was never all that. A work horse who will run his lungs off but no talent and at his peak I wouldn't have taken him anywhere near Chelsea. And what is this international pedigree you talk about? Right now I would say that from Chelsea's squad Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Ramires, Oscar, Mikel and Hazard are way more important players to their national teams than Dirk Kuyt ever was for Holland, he has always been in the shadow of Van Persie, Robben, Huntelaar, Van der Vaart and so on. From the past I would also say that Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and John Terry definitely have the 'pedigree' despite England pretty much failing at international level. Dirk Kuyt got to one World Cup final with Holland and lost, not much more so can't rate him a huge success either. And what did Liverpool achieve during Torres' time there? That's right, absolutely fuck all. Getting to a Champions League semi isn't much of an achievement and in the league relying too much on Torres ended up biting them in the arse because they couldn't keep up with the other top teams every time Torres got injured, which happened quite often. Building your team around a single player is like I said stupid because the team is fucked if the star man is off form or injured, that's why Liverpool never achieved much when Torres was there. We have gone to great lengths to try and help Fernando Torres succeed but there has to be a point when you have to concede loss and decide it's not worth it anymore and it's better to try and move on.
-
This one never gets old.
-
And what makes you think Chelsea don't have the tactics to benefit a player like De Bruyne? Mind you Chelsea is probably the most attacking midfielder -centered team in the world and here he would probably thrive better than anywhere else.
-
Like fuck they did. They simply replaced Rooney with Robin Van Persie and it has worked out fine for them, which really is no surprise considering Rooney also scored 27 league goals last season. And look where Liverpool's Torres-centered playing style got them, out of the Champions League places because relying on just one man to do the job and having second rate players like Dirk Kuyt just to suit this one player is fucking moronic.
-
No, it has more to do with the fact you talk a lot about Real Madrid in Mourinho's thread and use every chance to bash Jose and his tactics. Also, no actual Chelsea supporter would rate most of Manchester City's squad ahead of ours. Sure, they have their star players who would walk in our starting lineup with ease but Clichy ahead of Cole and so on, are you kidding me? At Dortmund he would probably play pretty much the same way he would at Chelsea so why would he go there either if that was the case? Have you watched them play? Not even Götze played centrally, he swapped positions during matches with Reus and Blaszczykowski much like he would do with the likes of Mata and Hazard. If Chelsea rated KdB at all, he would be recalled after such a fine season out on loan and given the chance in the first team. If he then failed that chance, it would be the right decision to at least consider sell him but not now when he would fetch only €15m and not the €40m he would potentially be valued at if he succeeded.
-
Why do you keep referring 'we' when you're clearly not a Chelsea supporter but a fan of Real Madrid? And I disagree. De Bruyne could easily come in and play a lot of games because there's no way Oscar, Hazard and Mata are up for another season with this much games and additional players are definitely needed next season. Moses is not good enough to be a starter, the likes of Marin and Beanyoun are already as good as gone so do you really think there isn't enough room for another one? If De Bruyne is sold, Chelsea will buy someone new for £30m to take this place in the team and that's just silly way of doing business. Then again, like I already said yesterday, that's nothing new to you as a Real Madrid fan. Sneijder out for 15m and Kaká in for 65m, if deals like that are okay to you then we have nothing else to discuss here.
-
That's not at all comparable to De Bruyne's situation because Sturridge had only six months left in his contract and he simply had to be sold in January or let him go for free because he never looked like signing a new contract. Also, Sturridge was at least somewhat given a chance to get in the team, he had some good and definitely some bad performances and his attitude wasn't the best so one could say he failed that chance. All things considered it was a decent enough decision to sell him, even if he is now playing well at Liverpool. De Bruyne is already better than Sturridge will ever be. Sturridge has the potential to be a good striker in the PL, just like players like Defoe and Bent have been, but I honestly can't see him becoming one of the best in the world. If De Bruyne now comes back for a year or two and isn't able to fully take his place in the team and wants to leave after a couple of seasons to go back to the Bundesliga or something, I'm sure many here wouldn't have a problem with that. However, selling him without giving him even one season to show what he's capable of is beyond moronic. Selling Sturridge may come back and bite the club in the ass if he is able to exceed expectations but selling De Bruyne will with a 100% certainty be a decision the club will regret at some point.

Fuck Kompany, he couldn't even beat Ryan Nelsen.
-
How many times have we signed Falcao by now, and Hulk last year? Not getting my hopes up.

General knowledge is definitely more important than being funny so my vote counts for more.
