Nah fam, he's not getting away with that shitshow he put on today. There was a moment, I genuinely thought, we had Ramires back in midfield. The thing with Kante is, technically, he's very hit or miss. And if he's gonna be off with his touch/passing, he's simply gotta be more effective as that Ball Winning Midfielder in the team. He cannot be poor at both, like he was today, where he's losing nearly all his challenges on the ball. Dembele/Wanyama have out-done him twice this season. And ok, fine, those players are his achilles heel, but on a larger note, Kante hasn't really been that effective for the past couple of games if we're being honest. His counter pressing, has been very poor lately, and that cannot continue if we are gonna continue with the Matic-Kante partnership. All the chance creation from deep cannot lie on Matic, Kante has to put the team in positions to quickly counter-attack via his Ball Winning in midfield.

James York had a very good stat highlighting how night and day we are vs the top 6 and the rest. But if you look at today's result, we broke that trend. Today's match was not horrific. A la Liverpool/Arsenal. Spurs were the better team, no doubt, but they didn't really "destroy us". What today's match does show, is that, much like we've been ruthless towards other clubs, Spurs were ruthless when they created their chances. Look at the Xg map. What annoyed me the most about today was just the abjectness of the wingbacks in Alonso/Moses. They really really let us down today. Failed to keep possesion/win their battles. Alonso kept getting beat 1v1 vs any body he faced, and Moses played Alli onside for their first goal, and offered very little in attack until we went 2-0 down.
-
Moses and Alonso been piss poor today. We need them to win their individual battles vs Rose/Walker and they just keep losing them. Moses/Alonso not helping sustain attacks, complete passes, or do anything productive. Pedro/Hazard keep recieving the ball backs to goal, and Wanyama/Dembele/Vertonghen been bullying them all day long. Think Willian needs to be brought on to help with ball retention, and Cesc aswell just to provide that killer OTT ball. Would bring on Willian/Cesc for Pedro/Moses. Put Cesc in RF/CM role, and Willian as Wingback.

What I would give to sign Ruben Neves...
-
Thats correct. According to this tweet, even though Bakayoko wants to stay at AS Monaco through this season, Chelsea are getting ready to make a sizeable bid for the lad. Looks like a phenomenal talent. If we signed Bakayoko and then in 2 years time signed Thiago Maia/Ruben Neves. Our Midfield would be set for a long time.

How good is he?
-
Understand 100% both viewpoints. Lets just hope we can keep this run going for as long as possible. Gonna be a fantastic second half of the EPL no doubt. Our nerves/hearts are gonna be in for a roller-coaster of emotions.

What a performance. Willian scored 2 open play goals?!?! 2016 really was a crazy year. Have to love the intensity with which the team responded after Stoke leveled both times. They were determined to not let this record slip. Have to say, Alonso/Moses were shocking today. The former couldn't block a cross to save his life today, and Moses looked like Ivanovic in disguise in attack. (Great skill displayed on our 2nd goal tho. Sent that man packing to yesteryear). We seem to struggle with Tall Strikers, and hopefully we sign a CB like Van Dijk who will help win those aerial duels. Because Every Stoke attack I thought was gonna end in a goal. Was bound to happen I guess. Just happy the team showed they can turn it on, when needed.

The way I see it. The sooner Man City are knocked out of title race, the "easier" is becomes for Us. Liverpool are a good side this year, no doubt, but I'd take my chances vs Liverpool in a title race, than let City/Pep hang around the race. Just the way I see it tbh.
-
First a Draw, then City losing. I hate City and want them knocked out as soon as possible. Fuckin Arsenal had a chance to end them in that first half, but failed to do so. Need a Klopp masterclass right now.

Did you not peep the Renato Sanches transfer last January? Madting.

ITT: are people who don't watch La Liga football or Sevilla. Nzonzi is a class player. Not world-class mind you. If you want to see one if his best performances, watch Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid. He was best player on the pitch. Because he began the season on fire. Nzonzi is your prototypical Regista/DLP, the only problem i'd have with this transfer is that he's a not a ridiculously superior upgrade on Matic. Now if we were after a boy named Ruben Neves... That's a whole nutha convo.

What a Baller

IT's Done! So fucking happy he's off. Was never Oscar's biggest fan, and fankly never bought the hype with this kid. Especially when the "Bitter-One", chose him over KDB and Mata... Yes, that still hurts to this day. Because that was, without a doubt, the single-worst demostration of talent evaluation I've ever seen. Anywho, he's off to make life changing money. We all would make that decision (100/100 times), but thank you China for buying out deadwood. Edit: And to all those people that don't understand how modern football is played. Here's why you Chelsea sign: Pato, Miazga, etc. etc.

My body is ready.

What about Atleti?? Hopefully they avoid the ban too , then we could go all out for Griezmann.
-
Hopefully that's his: A. Cole, Henry, Cesc, Van Persie, and Nasri moment. The list can go on forever. (But yeah hopefully he'd chose us over Pep & City). *Little side-note which I hadn't really realized. Next few months are going to be massive for Arsenal. Could be dealt a devastating blow if they do not secure Alexis/Ozil extensions by the summer. They could lose their 2 best players if the season goes to shit. The atmosphere around the club begins to get hostile again with the #WengerOut brigade, they finish 3rd/4th and get bounced by Bayern in the Rd. 16 AGAIN.* Anywho, If Alexis truly had his come to Jesus moment, and is thinking what we all think he is, Chelsea have to do EVERYTHING they can do to unsettle Alexis and bring him to Chelsea. He's already stated his love for London, and Conte really wanted him badly back when Alexis was at Udinese. Alexis has been running his entire body in the ground (most minutes played in world football past 4 seasons) and while it's paid off on the International Stage with Chile, his club success has been minimal. If Alexis' wage demands come down to a reasonable figure, like £200K/wk, (Put him on par with Hazard), #OperationSanchez has be pushed into Maximum Overdrive. I know Neither Alexis/Hazard are LFs by trade, but their talented enough to make it work. A Front three of Alexis-Costa-Hazard.....Stop It.

The football gods have smiled upon us.

Which is why i always root for City to lose. Arsenal could have ended City in that first half, had they gone 2-0 up, and probably their title chances. And when you have an opprotunity to put Guardiola to the sword, you finish them off. Hopefully Liverpool pull a madness in 2 weeks and out Winning streak is still intact too. Don't know if it was you or someone else who was trying to point out that Arsenal could be dangerous this season. But now you see why I will NEVER take them lot seriously until they get a new manager or are hoisting that trophy come matchday 38. Typical Arsenal.
-
Agreed. Such s big fan of him. Makes me sad not to see him get more minutes.
-
Hopefully we dont see a Matic Cesc midfield, but I think that we will. I'd venture, to add Cesc/Chalobah/Batshuayi for Willian/Kante/Costa. 3-5-2 with Cesc given the freedom to roam where he likes. The obvious issue with no Pedro/Willian is no extra forward recieving between the lines. Bu When Cesc plays, the outballs he provides to the WingBacks are simply more dangerous. Cesc threads those passes so Alonso/Moses aren't stopping their momentum when venturing forward which will help break the defensive lines, and offer thay extra attacker. I liked the way the team was setup for those final 15mins vs CP today. Would like to see that more.

We truly are Hollywood FC. The Extreme Highs & Lows that this club goes through. Never a dull moment supporting this club, never. Forza Conte. Forza Chelsea. "Amala Pazza Chelsea, Amala". You gotta love it.
