Grant took a side in a similar position to what they are in now, who had just lost our beloved Jose, and besides everyone hating him and the supports against him and the players against him he still took us pretty damn far, yes the players obviously contributed enormously but Grant has to be given some sort of credit for getting us through arguably one of our most difficult patches and he did it with everyone against him and under huge pressure

Couple positives about Rjikaard, who is now the bookies favourite, his barcelona team produced entertaining but winning football, he knows the european game well, and has a fair amount of respect. The major facto for me though is his age, I believe he is 46 which means he could be around for many years if he does a good job. Yes he is a bit of an arsehole, but thats exactly what everyone who doesnt support Chelsea thinks of Mourinho.

We should be looking for a manager for the long term, cannot be appointing managers who are 60 plus because how many years would we actually get out of them. We had the perfect candidate to manage the club for 15 to 20 years in Mourinho and he was discarded...I feel he may actually be the only hope we have of ever reaching the heights we did under him.

Think there will be a big clean out at the end of the season, lets be honest we need one, we need one really big name signing, and then quality players in their mid 20's, can get rid of half the squad to be honest they all shit, old and dont seem to care much about the club. We need to bring in serious depth as well, we used to have the best bench in the world, now I dont think our fring players deserve to play for a conference side let alone a premier league one.

I would give Steve Clarke the managers job, did absolute wonders as the assistant, that players respond to him, has learned from Jose what more could we ask for?
