I'm not trying to censor anyone but let's try and keep the over the top rhetoric if and I emphasise if we have a bad performance today. This is Man United away not Brighton at home so for a new manager it doesn't get much harder than this. Let's give Frank a few games to bed in he's one of our own and doesn't deserve shit slung at him from the get go.

I am not denying that. It is just that people had already made their mind up after 1 month that he was a top signing and Robson was a madman. Few months down the line, I am just pointing out the big difference in opinion. I think he is a good player. In City he would look quality but he is being exposed right now. And if I am being honest, I do find fans on here very knee-jerk. They change opinions way too quickly. Not defending Jorginho but it is his first season here and it is a new system for the team and a lot of players adjusting to different style of football. But seems majority of people have made their minds up.

I mentioned a few pages before that he has made some beautiful passes over the top this season, however our players have never converted them. That was a brilliant ball over the top for Higuaín, which he should have converted. This what annoys me when people play this stats card. He has made created some excellent chances, however people will never remember this because of what the bloody stats show.

Sometimes the supporters of this club make me sick. Who the fuck needs rival fans when you have supporters like ours.

He moves the ball so much faster than any of our other midfielders but he's just become an easy target because people wrongly believe Kanye should be playing in his position. Kantes's position has become a weird obsession by the media. Anybody else remember at the world cup when people were saying he was wasted playing as a pure DM? Now all of a sudden he's played there his entire career. Even when he makes a good defensive contribution playing as a RCM the commentators use it as evidence that he should be playing DM. It makes no sense. In my opinion he's played better this season than he did last season.

Exactly. Plus everyone still thinks Kante is a 6 and should play there. Kante has shown time and time again why he is better on that right hand side.  His ability to drive forward, recover, press higher up and also be more creative. But again, the football das are out in force and see him as something he isnt. A fixed pivot.

Look at clips of Napoli under Sarri and then look at clips from our recent games. Several things are currently still lacking in this Sarri Chelsea such as runs in behind from the player in the Hamsik role (Barkley and particularly Kovacic play far too defensive), technically capable right back, a striker that scores goals, quality left back and in-form Jorginho. Most importantly, the tempo you seen in Napoli games is galaxies apart from what you seen in our games. With the proper tempo and intensity also lacks runs from third players that would allow more direct and quicker transitions from central midfield to attacking third. Why are still playing so slow football? You'd think the players would have already learned each others' positions by heart and could therefore also play quicker one-touch football. Players like Kante, Azpilicueta, Willian, Kovacic, Barkley and Alonso never play one-touch passing and instead always hog the ball for a while and turn promising attacks in to nothing. Neither does Jorginho though at the moment, which is weird considering that's his biggest asset. He only does one touch pass when passing sideways or backwards and avoids those quick vertical passes he got famous for at Napoli.
Higuain will undoubtedly give some much needed confidence and could potentially save our season and secure finish in the top4. However, it's clear that changes have to be made and several new players have to be bought both this window and particularly during the summer. Sarriball is still far away from reality and will remain so as long as these current players keep playing. Back-up to Jorginho (who has been playing far too many games this season and without proper competition), another playmaking and free-scoring CM/CAM like Coutinho/James, RB and LB need to bought as soon as possible. Perhaps some players of the loan army or youth academy (Aina/Baba/Reece James, Mount etc.) could fill some of those positions?

Why do people who keep on banging about Jorginho not having an assist talk as if he does not pass forward? He does tee up others to shoot at goal but he can't do anything if others miss the chance, can he? I mean, look at the chance he set up for Willian yesterday after Newcastle scored. Was a good pass and a good chance but of course Willian put it wide. Not saying Jorginho has been perfect with all his passes but he has been unlucky by having incompetent finishers in front of him.

He created the pass for Hazard against Watford the other night. That is what got us the penalty. That was an excellent pass. Also when we played Arsenal and beat them 3-2, was it not his excellent pass that created the pass that split Arsenal defence open and gave Alonso a free pass for Pedro who scored? I cannot remember all games on top of my head but he has done some very good passes which have not led to a goal and that is not his fault. He is also playing the DM role too and is not in an advanced position so it is not as big of a shock as people are making out. Especially when teams sit back. People look at stats way too much. People need to look at the bigger perspective and see what caused an assist. For instance Alonso got the registered assist against Arsenal for Pedro's goal but really more credit goes to Jorginho. But because there is no assist on his name, people forget this suddenly LOL.

4  tackles yesterday(only Kante had more and that includes Tottenham’s players),joint first at interceptions,one blocked shot and people say he doesn’t do anything without the ball...Jorginho does his job almost perfectly.We have 5 players in front  of him on the pitch(actually 7,if we include the full-backs) and they are supposed to provide the needed assists.

It's fair to say that Suarez, aguero etc still manage to play well without resorting to "thuggish" behaviour however they're clearly technically better than Costa. Costa works with the talent he has and in my opinion wouldn't be the player he is without that nasty side to him. Personally. I wouldn't change a thing about him.

I'd love to see him and van ginkel get a chance next season. Seem like similar sort of players to me.
