Manchester United is interested? Mou sold him, can't see him being interested in him.
-
What do you mean? He started the last game and the game before without Fabregas.
-
I know, I mentioned that. But even then, when you spend 100 million on 3 players you expect them to improve you, in reality each of them is bench level at best. We didn't spend our money well enough, we could have done better and still kept net spend around 0 or a bit over. At least one of them could have been genuine starting material that would instantly improve us. It's infuriating to think that we scrimp on players who would actually take us to next level, but then some accountant with flawed football knowledge decides it's totally fine to sanction around 40 million on both Baka and Drinks.
-
Spending money needs to be done wisely though. United have splashed some insane money, but they have barely improved let's be honest. We spent ~100 million on Drinkwater, Bakayoko and Zappacosta, but did those buys really improve us greatly? Judging by this season, I'd say no. You look at the money spent and go "wow, they must have really invested in some serious quality". Then you see that every equal amount that City spent compared to us was aimed at improving their quality and depth. Every equal amount we spent compared to them was to replace somebody. We will never overtake them with this policy, never.

Nah, from our team I think only Hazard and Christensen would make his team. Maybe Kante too with Fernandinho dropping to bench, but I'm not sure about that either. Fabregas probably too slow for starting material, but would make an awesome supersub to feed their fantastic movement.
-
You have to take into consideration that the last time Monaco won it was in 2000 and they had PSG to contend with, a team far more dominant in their league than anybody in the PL has ever been. Their season was a bigger achievement than ours.

Also Morata was good when he came on I thought, changed the game. Our forward play with him and Fabregas increased tenfold. We can pull off that false 9 system once in a while, but I don't think we have the personnel to make it consistently successful.
-
Well Alonso did just that
-
How were we in 1st half? Missed it.

Not only that, I believe Diego's link-up play was miles ahead of what Lukaku is capable of producing. While not world class, he did participate in some genius combinations. And let's not talk about his first touch, the way he controlled some of those long balls from Fabregas like it was nothing. He was clumsy, slow and indecisive in possession, but his movement, link-up, finishing and first touch were on a level Lukaku can at the moment only dream of.
-
Classic tie, can't wait! Should bring back some not-so-old memories.
-
Yup, as I mentioned, he showed too much of his near post. It's like he was expecting Morata to cut inside, but I doubt it. Only thing that saved De Gea there was Morata being a headless chicken, a top striker would have buried a simple near-post shot with DDG getting nowhere near it.
-
Haha that would be sooo bad. We'd have no choice but to play hoof ball because there is no point in playing to Lukaku's feet and Bakayoko can't make intricate passes.
-
That was so frustarting to see when that happened. Why would he attempt to cut to his weaker left foot when the defender was still quite far away and De Gea was showing him all of his near post, basically inviting him to shoot there. The moment he started cutting was the moment a striker must shoot. Awful....
-
Then Hazard would be a different player and it would take something away from the team. The best practice would be not to try to change Hazard, but to complement him by providing him a teammate like Salah.
-
You haven't been watching Chelsea for the past 5 years have you? He won us 2 league titles and decided countless games on his own.
-
I thought we did change formation to 4 at the back, hence Azpi moving to LB and Pedro to LW. Reminded me of 4-2-4. I heard Conte even shouting "Pedro up" and showing 4 with his fingers.
-
You can't say terrible when he laid on a superb chance for Morata. Still much more useful than Bakayoko on either end.
-
YOU NEED TO AT LEAST HIT THE TARGET MORATA
-
What a fucking fanny lol.
-
Sell him and buy a real wing back, rather.

Exactly. Now is the flu season. I cringed reading those negative comments, I would like to challenge those people to play a game of high intensity and pressure football with fever, nausea and possibly diarrhea. Let me see how their bodies and concentration hold up for the first 10 minutes before they die. And those who "go to work and crack on", I bet your job doesn't involve running around for 90 minutes with any minor mistake possibly costing your employer dearly. Not only that, but extreme physical exertion while having the flu is dangerous to your health, not to mention the great danger of infecting your fellow teammates. I guess letting Drinkwater in to vomit on the pitch and pass it on to Hazard is worth it according to some. The flu is not a joke, it kills people. I can bet everything on if Conte forced Drinks to play with high fever, and he would just stroll around the pitch like a ghost and cost us 3 points, those same people would go after Conte's head. Utterly embarrassing comments. You are right, you can't please some people with anything.

Hmm i on the other hand think he does the basics right, but barely anything more. We need someone who can do more than just the basics. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

If he wasn't rested then why are his chances to start more than likely? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
