Is in line with our policy of signing injured players. I would prefer to keep hold of this 15m and keep it in reserve when a chance to sign a true WC midfielder arises, then we wouldn't need to penny pinch that much. But having said that, I do see some upsides to this: Cheap HG option, relatively young, can potentially still sell him for a big profit in the future if it doesn't work out. Is not the worst HG/English player out there, could still be a useful player under proper guidance and with better teammates. Think he will play b2b CM or high AM depending on where he's needed, so that's nice. I do not kid myself, I am excited over any new signing, so I would be very much curious to see him in action. Always want to see new players play for us and see how it changes our game.

That graph must be outdated, Walker still has the spurs badge. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Tactically, I wasn't happy with his substitutions, they showed no ambition. Fabregas, playing well and the only one capable of linking up and feeding the front 2, taken off for a destroyer (Drinkwater) while the useless Bakayoko stayed on for the full match. Fabregas was even much better defensively than Baka (not hard to do). Subbing Drinks for Bakayoko would have made us more solid defensively and more potent offensively. Then the standard Willian for Hazard sub, taking off our only bright spark in attack, the one who won the equalizer by himself and who can pull off something brilliant any second. I don't like to see us so obviously playing for the draw when we had all the chances in the world to win it, reminds too much of Mourinho this. Would have probably won if Bakayoko had been subbed around half-time (or not started at all) and Fab stayed on. It is true he has a pretty bad squad in general, but sometimes his decisions are questionable.

What are you on about mate? Our transfer policy post-2010 has been nothing but looking to the future, we sign almost only young players with potentially bigger resale value. When was the last time we signed somebody 30+? We need steel and experience, Vidal would provide just that.

Brilliant saves yesterday. Couldn't do anything about those 2 goals, they were hit perfectly and nobody would have got close to them, but the saves he did make saved us a point.
-
He flew under the radar, but he put in another monster performance against Arsenal. Such a smart defender. And that pass at the end to Morata... our best ball-playing defender by far imo, I dare anybody to find another CB who can play such accurate passes and crosses.
-
How would that help? Shooting's not the problem, a striker at this level knows how to shoot technically... the mind is the problem here.
-
What driving runs are you talking about? Whenever he gets the ball he gets rid of it with the safest pass, then goes back into hiding and tries to avoid the play. He never does anything progressive. The Bakayoko I'm watching is scared, so out of his depth, slow and weak. Today he reminded me of an amateur among pros wondering what the fuck he was doing there.
-
What good did his movement do to us today? He wasn't involved in our goals as far as I can remember and the chances he got he choked making all this movement pointless.
-
Stop using his "positioning and movement" as some kind of excuse or a way to justify him, he was SHIT. I could maybe overlook this if it was a freak occurence, but he does it almost every fucking game! That's not good enough! His artsy-fartsy fancy-pants link-up and movement mean fuck all if he's not on the end to put them in. Depressing stuff really.

Called it You are right.. predictable.

What the fuck Conte?? Piss poor subs.. Fabregas off, who was having a good game, and the useless shitstick Bakayoko still on. Zappacosta for Moses? Playing for the draw, fucking cowardly imo.
-
Give Courtois everything he wants
-
Say no more, I now comprehend the magnitude of his miss.
-
Exactly, it's so clear he's a big fucking liability. Why can't Conte see that? For a ruthless winner he sure does his life more difficult with this choice.
-
I didn't see Morata's miss. How bad was it on a scale of 0-Torres?
-
Brilliant I started watching the game from about 30th minute, and by 33rd minute I was thinking to myself why is Bakayoko playing? He's so scared, so out of his depth. He brings absolutely nothing to this team, if anything we're struggling largely because of him. He needs to go on loan or whatever, but BRING ON DRINKWATER! I would be more confident with him, Bakayoko is late to every situation, the game passes him by, at least Drinkwater is more proactive and affects the game.

Lmao it sounds like Real want to buy half of our team, at least the better ones Tbh it's kinda good, shows we have some really good players on our books.
-
The fact he was PFA POTY, French player of the year & 8th in the Ballon d'or list would suggest otherwise. And all that while being the one doing the unglamorous work in the team, playing a role that normally goes unnoticed. Usually such awards or high places fall to goalscoring prodigies, but he is just so outstandingly good it doesn't go unnoticed. How long before big teams come asking about him?
-
Don't know this player at all. What would he bring to the table?
-
Yeah And then imagine if we added Sandro and Mahrez, the ones we are linked with the strongest, suddenly we'd look a proper world class team. One can dream...
-
He'd be an ideal stop-gap until Baka develops to the standards we expect, or doesn't and we can ship him out without damage done to our results. Vidal, Kante, Cesc would be a very formidable midfield. Imagine going against Vidal and Kante, even if you get past them somehow you still have to face 3 CBs looking to take you down. And in attack he would offer something our other midfielders cannot offer.
-
Marca is basically Real's newspaper, right? So this should be legit then, fingers crossed.
-
Tbh, one thing that has bothered me for years, is that he never said he was THE special one. He said he was A special one. In English that makes quite a difference.
