  1. Didn't even enter my thinking, I'm rooting for them as underdogs and Ukrainians, but am generally neutral as in I wouldn't be disappointed if either lost. Main thing is to have a good entertaining game.
  2. They need to throw in some considerable cash for that deal to make any sense.
  3. Yup, I'm watching that game. Come on Shakhtar!
  4. Could be, but its effect wasn't as big as you make it out to be imo. Long after these games were abolished this place was still buzzing. True, the MOTM thing brought out the best and the worst in some, but quality posters still stuck around since it was never the main purpose of this place. The main things that imho killed and are killing this place, are 1) too light-handed bannings or bullying of people who thought differently (which caused domino effects of more people quitting because of this), 2) The rise of social media platforms, 3) Jim's complete indifference (new members still can't register FFS). 4) Lack of donations due to the beforementioned reasons reducing active userbase. I firmly believe such decline could have been avoided if the forum was run better.
  5. But tbh, despite all their annoyances, they were top posters. By them I mean all the controversial misfits like Leif, Henrique, TermX, Sloth/Kojo, Justin3D... and more whose names I don't recall. I would take them all back in an instant because they gave this place some colour and were driven out unjustly (I think most if not all oldies would agree with me). I'm still sad over Leif's banning not so long ago, we badly miss his humorous and in-depth contribution. I used to come on here high and laugh my ass off on his posts. Him and Kojo were my two best mates on here, had some dope conversations in private, good lads really. The only one I wouldn't take back is zolayes, because like @Tomo pointed out he got too arrogant in later years and got some of my favourite posters banned, didn't contribute much beyond drama and short one sentence posts.
  6. Was he convicted too? Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk
  7. And the TC Legend tag would lure TermX back
  8. @xPetrCechx and @Pizy are still active too, but can't think of many more sadly. Me and @milan.cech are the only original ones from 2007 still standing though. Will be here till the bitter end, which is upon us. EDIT: Hey, @the wes, sorry for forgetting you.. you are also here since the beginning of times my man. Respect.
  9. I think murderer is technically a wrong word to use. Murder is premeditated, torturous, repeated or killing done for robbery... at least as defined by our laws, I don't know how it is in Spain but I imagine not much different. Killer is more accurate to use in his case.
  10. On the other hand it's great that single isolated racism cases like this get such scrutiny, isn't it? Judging by the stories from people who were there "back in the day", there's been quite some progress on this issue.
  11. I hope it is. Do we need him or any right-back for that matter? I've been hearing a lot of good things about our own Reece James. Zap is a good enough backup for now, then sell him once James is ready to become Dave's understudy. Or is the club perhaps plotting for Hysaj to eventually replace Azpi? He's turning 30 next season, Hysaj 25... I hope we don't go to Napoli again, ADL will squeeze our balls till every drop drips out. And he would be a really underwhelming signing for such money also, for a position that isn't critical for us, while our striker and wing options are in tatters.
  12. For me, the bottom line is that he's a shit player who disrespected the man who against all odds made him a champion a year before, then cowardly threw his child under the bus for his own doing. We could have gotten ~£65m for somebody who probably costs us more points than wins, fuck me, but this I blame on Sarri and Marina for overrating him and being too afraid to lose a "key" player.
  13. Does anybody know is @Unionjack alright? He told me in the beginning of October that he'd be going on holiday for 4 weeks, but it's been much longer now. Miss that fucker
  14. He thinks he's too good to be benched, that's why he started rebelling against Conte. He said it himself, that he didn't understand why he was being substituted off all the time or not starting, he thought he played too well for that... in reality he was garbage, dogshit and deserved to be shunned by Conte. And not only that, he blamed the emoji thing on his own young daughter who has no media platform to defend herself from his dad's lies. He's a pussy coward and needs to go ASAP.
  15. I appreciate you using that word Em ftw
  16. Very good points made Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk
  17. Thought he did well yesterday against City. Didn't let much through from his side, didn't make any (big) mistakes, had some good defensive plays. There is a reason why they stopped attacking from his side and went at Azpi instead, but he also had a big "FUCK OFF" sign on his forehead. Wasn't so noticeable in the attacking phase, I think we attacked through Azpilicueta more and Alonso sat back more than usual (probably instructions from the coach). It's great because he showed he can perform to an acceptable level when the odds are stacked against the team.
  18. My man of the match, love him to bits. Hope he shuts his doubters up sooner rather than later, I know he has it in him to play better than he has sometimes shown this season. This kind of performance should be a reminder of what we would be missing if we didn't have him on the pitch. If there's anybody who deserves time to adapt to this new style, it's him. For me he's a crucial player who needs to play every big game, wouldn't swap him for anyone.
  19. Yeah lol, honestly I thought it was Hazard till I saw the number on his back.
  20. And an herculean effort it was! Outstanding reaction from the boys, everybody was on point, Never would I have dared to dream we would win 2-0. The best part is that not only did we scrape a result, we actually played ball, we pressed! We didn't sit back in super low blocks, we closed them down and harrassed all over the pitch! Even when winning 1-0 we didn't only play long or try to hit on counters, we kept it on the ground and played ball. I wouldn't have believed that the team would be capable of doing that AND win. All props to Sarri and the boys who showed massive balls against a City team unbeaten since... was it April? Azpi MOTM for me, rock solid and led by example.
