We would regret selling Kante. Managers don't last over 2-3 years here, players do. I expect Sarri to be sacked in that timeframe also, possibly earlier. The team will eventually implode like it always does. The next manager would find no real DMs in this squad or somebody half the payer Kante is if we sold him.

We won't, it was a second string makeshift team that has never played together before. We rested our key players, gave backups game time and won against a tough side throwing their best at our worst. Job done. These games have never been indicative of how our actual first team will perform.

I don't get that logic. If we want to keep him, then the best way to do it is to give him as much game time as possible, so that he wants to renew regardless of who is interested.

I think he means social media-sphere, not posts on here. I'm not sure, I don't follow these retarded twitter fools. But anyway, nobody should question signing him, when you have an opportunity to sign a player of his quality, you do it and bin somebody inferior. He would walk into almost any top team in the world, Barkley or RLC wouldn't. And I'm encouraged, the fact that he's on loan with us and gets accustomed to the team (by the sounds it he's loving it here) makes us the most likely to get him. He is the type we should be aiming at if we want to get back to the level we once were, not Drinkwater or Bakayoko or even RLC (who won't make it at Chelsea).

I also prefer Barkley, I think there is not much doubt that he offers more in overall play than Cheeks. Both are goal threats though so both have that going for them. Seriously our midfield depth and quality is just brilliant.

Since he is not getting game time here, I would be intrigued to see him play regularly in a top league. Would prefer an EPL or Bundesliga loan move. If we could get Pulisic out of this CHO deal and ship out Willian, I'd be over the moon.

Thought the team was awesome today. The boys did good, especially Barkley for me, becoming a fan of him. Kovacic has a fight in his hand, can't take that position for granted anymore with Barks and Lofty-Cheeks all claiming a stake. Everything can be made to sound right in theory as each system has its strengths and ideal scenarios, but when I close my eyes and imagine us playing this way I see many diagonal balls destroying our flanks, and I also wouldn't want to make tracking back and defending one of Hazard's priorities again.

Without full/wing-backs we would struggle defensively a lot, for that reason alone I wouldn't try that.

With Sarri so often stressing that we need to improve defensively, I'm pretty sure for the time being he won't drop Kante in any remotely important game until he feels confident with our collective defending. Without Hazard we'll probably struggle anyway.

We must go for him while his value is dropping. Sarri will make him play ball again.

Man you remind me of Spock so much I love your posts, but you are so coldly logical and rational that you do not see that those type of views/posts/opinions are driven by emotions. He has disrespected and portrayed something that people on here hold close to their hearts not in the most positive way, that is enough.
