  1. Yeah that's what I mean, McEachran didn't play much and got subbed off... he should be fresh to participate and against Swansea it's the perfect time. Would also like to see more of Romeu, Luiz and Lukaku, but they played 120 mins each, not sure how they will recover in just 3 days.
  2. He had a decent shot with his left leg at one point I remember... Would like to get some more intel on his shooting ability as he gets more games, hopefully he has a more accurate shot than Mikel
  3. I'd like to see how our rested players run Swansea ragged Mata, Torres, Anelka, Ramires, Meireles, Ivanovic, Bosingwa, Cole over a long time... they will be full of energy and buzzing. Since Lampard played a chunk against Fulham, I think he might get dropped this time.. on the other hand McEachran was subbed off at 50 or smth and played less than Lamps, I hope he gets a chance I'm a fan of his through balls
  4. Bertrand was not half as bad as you make him out to be... I liked him for a young player who played his 1st game of the season and who wasn't in full match fitness and has hardly played before with this lot.
  5. When Terry stepped up I had a hunch he would go safe in the middle like Lampard usually does after he's trying to recover from a previously missed penalty (a safe bet since goalies always choose a side on Lampard's penalties and he knows that). It seems Schwarzer had the same hunch and he stayed in the middle, but Terry took the risk of choosing a side Good for him. Romeu was class as was David Luiz. They are both men of the match for me. And I was very disappointed Josh had to come off, I'd rather Kalou or Malouda had made way... they were so fucking frustrating, and that against a Fulham B-side. I was expecting Mata to come on and replace one of our "wingers" and teach them a thing or two... bearing also in mind that he's young and a new signing who still needs to gel, bringing on Lampard didn't make much sense to me, but it was obviously a tactical decision and I won't question AVB's tactics. Bertrand was okay, constantly made good runs in attack imo, was solid in defence. Not impressive, but an okay performance. Sturridge again disappointed as long as he was playing, I hope his confidence doesn't suffer too much after 2 consecutive unimpressive games. Maybe I have too high hopes for him every game. Lukaku looked shaky at the beginning, but definitely improved as game went by... It was visible he got more confidence as time passed and you can't question his work rate.

  7. double negative, "does not deserve no praise" means they deserve praise... just nitpicking

  9. and some of the stuff that wouldn't have gone our way... happiness requires equal amount of misery. it's just that if anything is run by humans, some will be more equal than others.
  10. Tommy is a big fan of Arsenal and Barcelona, and also roots for Spurs and Portsmouth, says SAF is the best manager (despite shooting DB with a shoe) and to top it off is anti-semitic... yet he's a TC legend Justin says some good words about them, he's a spy in disguise and a traitor
  11. I don't think both Lukaku and Drogba will start... Only maybe if either of them plays on the wing (like Lukaku did against ManU, and he sucked there, so I hope he doesn't play there again, just not his position). I believe either Lukaku or Drogba will substitute the other in 2nd half, I think it will be Drogba on the bench.
  12. So Abramovich wants to develop youngsters I like the change of direction there
  13. I think he meant Nani and Hernandez think they are WC, not Henrique
  14. Too central, your line-up has no wing support
  15. I am expecting something like this: Čech/Turnbull Ferreira - Alex - Luiz - Bertrand Romeu Meireles/Mikel - McEachran Sturridge - Lukaku - Malouda Kalou will probably get a run. Hopefully youngsters will be up to the challenge and win
  16. Josh, Lukaku, Bertrand and Romeu will be playing, nice
  17. He was but the linesman probably decided not to give it because Nani was running backwards from a fairly even line. Either that or the refs just sucked. Smalling's goal was 100% offside no doubt.
  18. Am I the only one thinking arsanal with this? It's scary close to how their fans speak But I agree, the performance was there, result was not
  19. It seems I am the only one who voted for Ivanovic Btw, this poll has 2 Ivanovics... I think I voted for the "Jose Ivanovic" I meant the Branislav one
  20. Comrade Abramovich must be absolutely pleased with his media handling Kevin Keegan, take notice
  21. Was never going to figure that out Well done, francozola
  22. One of the best to play club football. I want him to excel on national level also, but nowadays it's harder, I don't think there is a standout player at the moment on national football level. It's too soon to label him as the best ever, if he keeps at it for years to come, then I might consider saying in the future "I witnessed the greatest player ever". Of modern football I think he's fairly on par with the two Ronaldos and Ronaldinho. I actually think Fat Ronaldo surpasses him for the moment being and Ronaldinho was more entertaining to watch, but Messi is still young and has scary talent... I won't compare him to Peles and Maradonas, because they played in different eras.
