  1. Noticed that too. Was kinda wtf moment.
  2. Was it just a defacement job or do they dig deeper for trouble?
  3. Now he is somebody I would spend 50 millions on instead. No idea how he ended up in Atletico who are no hopers domestically and in CL.
  4. CL is a trophy that prodigies like Mourinho and Ancelotti (and Grant) could never win in the years trusted to them. If Robbie finally does it after only being in charge for 2½ months with the crappiest team in the Roman times and still gets axed, I will declare our board idiots of the decade.
  5. yep, can't praise that. but still, better decision making comes with experience.. he barely has it tbh.
  6. maybe it would be best to give a link to what he said about Robbie?
  7. Short memory you have. I remember 2 of his good assists clearly.. one to Drogba in UCL against Leverkusen (or Genk?) and the other to Meireles against City. Both were very well given. Can't remember the rest though.
  8. according to wikipedia he's a second striker.
  9. He has 5 assists this season. In comparison, Meireles has 4, Ramires has 5, Drogba has 4. He isn't doing bad in terms of assisting his teammates.
  10. When reading a Sun article, you may as well skip all the gibberish which isn't in between quotation marks. The "less convincingly" is purely a journo's interpretation and should be ignored, as journalism is about reporting events and facts, not interpreting them. The whole point of the article was to make Studge look like a delusional megalomaniac, so naturally they would try to demonize the more positive quotes.
  11. He insisted: “That’s the position I will always pick myself, centre-forward.” And added, less convincingly: “But whatever position the manager picks me in I’m happy and right now, for the team, I’m in the wide position. “I will always give 100 per cent and work as hard as I can to get the success we all want.” Tbh I've never heard him moan about playing on the wing. He's just saying he's a centre-forward and prefers that position. If you put Terry in midfield I'm sure he'd say the same thing.
  12. He's also been criminally underrated in every FM.
  13. Thinking we would win the EL with youths and/or reserves is naive. The first message it would send out is "we don't care about this competition" hence our players will be demotivated and opponents will smell blood and really have a go at us. This is a competition that middle-upper teams take very seriously, as it's their only realistic chance for European glory. Take it as a stroll in the park, you end up like the mighty Mancs. Still, talks about Europa League are a bit premature.
  14. Mourinho was a master in making the whole team defend and attack as a unit. When we defended, everybody was a defender, when we attacked, everybody was an attacker. You can still see this philosophy in the players of his era, a la Drogba. So in that sense I feel only a Mourinho-esque manager would effectively make Studge do his defensive duties and be more of a team player even if he doesn't like it (think of Joe Cole before and after Mourinho).
  15. I actually find the keeper's actions funnier. What a donk.
  16. Isn't Hilario our 2nd? Always has been afaik.
  17. I would. He still has the opportunity to earn mad cash somewhere in Arabia, China or USA for many years. Wouldn't be surprised if he went back to France, surely somebody would take him so he would have no reason to end his career.
  18. We are the last team to criticize mercenaries.
  19. I will be mightily disappointed if Chelsea don't sell him. I think he's on huge payroll too, a good place to start cutting.
  20. Sturridge is having a bad spell, ffs is it the first time you see a player having a bad spell? Don't give up now.. He's young as fuck and talented as shit. He just needs EXPERIENCE, decision making comes with it, cooler head comes with age. And he's English (home grown quota). Mancini publicly stated he regretted selling him, chances are we will too.
  21. Oh shiiiiiet... he was probably trying to get himself off as not to humiliate himself some more. He, for one, should know the devastating effect a serious injury can have on your career and it was malicious of him to try and do that to Carroll. Should be sold, generally he's no use to us anymore.
  22. In 2nd half Terry wasn't that bad anymore. Actually the whole team picked up a bit and the only reason we conceded then was because of Ross's moment of brilliance.
  23. Subbed for who? Hutchinson? He would've been ripped by Carroll in air imo. And we were lacking leadership as it was, without Terry we would've been even more disjointed imo.
