  1. Ambitious (outrageous) idea, but no. It would fuck his game, he's a midfielder (and lately a winger), and that's that. He will have plenty of chances to play in midfield or on the wing in a long season, but just not all the time. It's problematic because he doesn't fit the double pivot, he's not the one to tie defence to attack a la Lampard or Schweinsteiger - the laid back type of guys who simply take the ball from the goalkeeper/defenders and pass it forward accurately. He's a duracell bunny who feeds off the ball feeders. He could play that role or as a defensive mid against weaker or mid-table clubs, but not as a constant starter. If we don't sign Hulk, Willian or any other winger for that matter, and if we loan out KDB again, then he will/should play as a winger, rotating between Marin, Hazard and Mata (goddamn jizzmatic to be able to say those names)... I will just disregard Malouda in that list as he hopefully will be shipped off or thrown into the stands. He's also a great asset on the wing as he can effectively help out in defence, I don't think the likes of Marin and Hazard are any better there than, say, Mata was at that. Yes, Rambo can put in a shift or two at RB at extreme circumstances like Essien or Diarra some years back, but making him permanent there? Ivanovic break skinny boy fingers.
  2. The number retiring idea was always moronic. I agree that maybe for a season it could stay vacant so that fans could get used to it or whatnot, but as with everything else in life, time will change everything.. in a few months the calls to retire his number will start cooling down and in a season (or two at stretch) noone will even think of that anymore. Hell, only unusual numbers should be retired at extreme circumstances, like Turnbull's 22 for example. Imagine number 1 being retired in Cech's honour, lol... no goalkeeper would want to join us anymore, except for maybe Fabianski or that lesbian looking Paddy Kenny from QPR.
  3. What do United have to do with being the champions league winners? If being champions of Europe means losing to Basel, getting demoted to and humiliated in Europa League, then I understand.
  4. Can't see anything obstructing it except him getting injured and failing his medical. Must get it done before the international friendlies.
  5. It's alarming that he has a mind of a ping-pong. But I'm glad we snatched up the highlight of this window, a player wanted by ALL major clubs... when was the last time we did that?
  6. So Hazard singlehandedly broke the forum for longer than us winning the Champions League? What a cunt he is, causing trouble already.
  7. Why is searching disabled? And forum is unbearably slow today.
  8. One more thing to suggest that those quotes are all from the same person is that every single one of them is written in the exact same style. It's well known that it's rare to find somebody with identical writing style, let alone a whole bunch of them from several sources. They are also all grammatically above the average standard, which you wouldn't expect from idiots they are claimed to be copied from. Although I do think some of the RAWK ones are genuine, but with growing popularity and higher demand he decided to milk it.
  9. First line and I'm already laughing "When I go to sleep I think of the cock. When I wake up I think of the cock." FUCKING LOL "Louis Saha scored 1 goal in 31 games for Everton. He scored 2 in 2 for us. We are the best in the world at reviving people's career's." "Kalou would be a good Bale replacement, the thing is can he cross like Lennon."
  10. can anybody link to spurs meltdown? I can't find it in google
  11. Chelsea - http://twitter.com/#!/ChelseaMeltdown there are idiots among us in numbers, but far less than in liverpool
  12. This reminded me of Mark Twain's quote: “Principles have no real force except when one is well-fed.”
  13. You will go back home eventually once you run out of those temporary options. Yearning for roof over your head and food on the table will overcome your angst filled sense of stubborn pride. I could be wrong though, I'm thinking what I would do, you could be a totally different character.
  14. He's being portrayed as such a messiah, that if he came and proved to be average, I would lol (no, not really).
  15. I thought you already did it
  16. oh no, not one of those again actually it's fine, our counter-troll unit has always been up to the task, and so far the OP is being humiliated.
  17. We won the FA Cup pretty convincingly. Dumped a load on spuds in semis, then went on to dominate turdpool for 60 minutes of the game in the final. As far as I remember we played ultra defensively only in the 2 games against barca and against bayern - two teams far ahead of us at keeping possession and attacking potency.
  18. [OT] What did Neville mean by "FIFA, UEFA - stop football"? [/OT]
  19. Don't blame you, Brazil is the land of one of the greatest metal bands ever, Sepultura, and of shaven pussy.
  20. Come on Sloth.. test those samaritans' sincerity. If they say you can ask them ANYTHING, then do it. Ask for a load of money, ask them if you could move in or something. See how serious they are with their offers Oh I wish you would..
  21. He was pissed because he thought we were "lucky bitches" who played crap, and he's not a fan of Chelsea. He is a fan of London, so every club in London he supports, arsenal and spuds the most because they play the prettiest football. He is also a fan of bayern, barca and shitload of other clubs I can't remember. His moods are like roller coaster, one day he's a supporter of Chelsea the other he isn't. PS I feel like shit snitch talking about another member like that. In the end it was him who convinced me to come back to TC, so you all must be grateful for that - a monumental feat indeed
  22. I won't because I don't want my inbox bombarded with accusations of destroying one's non-existent Chelsea career and he apologized for being angry after the game.
  23. I posted a picture earlier in the forum where Tommy said to me in msn he hated Chelsea and called us bitches after we won the biggest trophy of our lives (I removed the picture later as per Tommy's request because in his words it "would destroy his chances of getting a job in Chelsea and become rich"). It was not the first time, and he also claims to be a fan of arsenal and spuds instead. It was a travesty in first place to make him a TC Legend based on his bipolar ramblings, while belittling a much worthier member. Wanting Tommy back is like wanting a chelsea hating arse/spud fan back. And FYI he still comes here from time to time to completely derail his BDFL/FM thread with nonsensical posts.
  24. Not sure I share the same view with you there. The league and the champions league > everything else. The prestige and monetary gain of those competitions are superior to the few cup games we'll be playing against 2nd string teams. But to be realistic, we can't expect to bump from 6th to 1st so quickly in the league, and it's extremely rare to successfully defend the champions league title, especially in the manner which we won it - it won't happen again next season unless we considerably strengthen all our areas and eliminate the element of luck as much as possible. So in that sense, in a transitional period, I would be happiest with this title and wouldn't mind a carling or a FA to accompany it. But if I were given a choice between (champions) league and this, I would choose one of the leagues in a heartbeat.
