Well if you ruled us out before last season, but we still finished top3 and with a trophy. Real life might just be a little more positive than your mind. Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk

Genuinely curious, are you ever in a positive mood?
-
No need to, it's time to build for the future.
-
Can't wait to finally hear well articulated interviews with our manager, I could listen to Lamps speak football all day.
-
If they know what's good for them, they will shut up and keep their heads down and try to emulate at least 20% of what Frank left on the pitch every time. This is not some Sarri or AVB, the fans will turn against whomever if there is any hint of player power going on. Also with Petr now mediating stuff between coaches and the board, Lampsy will have even more support I believe. Exciting times ahead, and maybe this transfer ban is a blessing in disguise also.
-
I guess Ronaldo, who is probably more useless at defending, is not a problem because Juve don't have a lot of defending to do in the league.
-
Exactly, only a mentally challenged club would step on the same rake twice. Jose is the last name of anyone I want to see back.
-
With Sarri gone, I can now see a place for him, definitely. He is a tank, we are lacking that whenever Rüdiger is not available, then it will be good to have an option to play someone completely different to our other choices. I can't see AC/Luiz being the automatic best pairing in every game, more often than not I believe Zouma will be called upon to solidify our defence. And of that he is very capable, I'm sure of that.

It's incredible how everyone, literally EVERYONE could see it was a once in a lifetime deal for such a limited player. Never saw any Chelsea fan saying 60 mill is too little for him or that he's too good a player to sell... everybody except the fucking stooges in the board. For that money we could have easily sealed a better replacement (Pepe for one), and we wouldn't now be in a situation where we are basically forced to extend his stay beyond his welcome, and then sell him for a fraction of that money. How so fucking incredibly stupid, I still can't wrap my head around it. EVERYBODY COULD SEE IT WAS AN OBVIOUS SELL FFS!! Then they have no qualms literally flushing money down the pooper with all the Drinkwaters and Bakayokos. I know Willian has been a good servant for us and respect and bla bla and all that other politically correct bullshit, but I just can't get around to liking this fucker after emojigate and shit performances. When I think about the WIllian situation, I just get all triggered and angry. Fucking imbeciles them Sibneft crooks.

My worry is that when things go bad, which they inevitably will, then he will be shat on by everyone and sacked by the clueless board. I wouldn't mind him coming in, I love Lamps, but he will need to be shown massive patience.
-
He does have the tools, but needs to learn to master them. I would like to hear RDM's in-depth analysis of why exactly it is not too soon. Too many one sentence statements floating around with nothing to back them up to take them seriously. I do hope he is indeed ready and hits the ground running, and he may as well during the honeymoon period (we have that with every single new manager), but this squad has shown they can't withstand the whole season in such form.
-
A guy who even shouldn't be at the club is now the face of the club? Kante, our only true class player, should have been it. Or Azpi, the captain.
-
Who are you talking to? I actually don't see anybody expecting him to make top 4, people are being rather realistic with their expectations.
-
11 years later your hope came true Anyway, wanted to ask if there's any word on what will happen to Zola now that Sarri's gone? Will he stay with Lamps, or...?
-
I doubt it. We showed unprecedented patience with Mourinho, Sarri and to an extent Conte. Lampard will be given even more leeway because sacking him for something petty would permanently turn the fans, plus I know the board are dumb in football matters but I do trust them to acknowledge that top 4 under current circumstances would be a bonus, not a do-or-die target. If we don't completely implode, I think he will get a long-term opportunity with Jody to slowly and patiently grow with us.
-
Have to side with @Mana here. I really want Lamps to manage us at one point, he is my favourite player of all time, but I just don't want to see him being bashed by plastics and reputation demolished by this atrocious state the club is in at the moment. Let Roman sell up, clean up the mess that is our board and then let's try to make something of us again.
-
I'm fairly certain we'll be begging Sarri back once our results and performances will inevitably go bad, doesn't matter who's at helm. Some of the football he got them playing was very exciting (at least for me), especially nearer the beginning of the season, and I'm often impressed with the way we now play out of the back - no more brainless lumping upfield. We never had a proper striker, you can't make any serious team challenge with consistency without a striker that works for you. I do think this is one of, if not the main reason why we look so toothless sometimes, a striker in an attacking team is the focal point. So whoever is next, I do not envy him coming in with this transfer ban and being stuck with them washed up strikers.

Hahahaha
-
So that's RLC, CHO and Reece, literally our three most promising youngsters. We are cursed.
-
Good luck to you, you absolute legend! If joining RM has been his dream, then fair play to him for fulfilling his dream. Happy for him and happy that we got him at all 7 years ago. Looking forward to seeing how he will perform there.
-
Sarri's Napoli played also. You need players capable of playing beautiful football, we have very few or none. Chelsea is always, ALWAYS a different and much more difficult animal for those up-and-coming coaches who play naive football.
-
Sarri with Higuain, before that Jorginho. No way were they club signings. Damn right! Look at the trouble we went through last summer to get him (pay Conte and pay De Laurentiis). The club should rightly stand firm - either Juve pays it or Sarri buys out his contract. Why give freebies when every single other club is out there to fleece us?
-
Deserving to stay doesn't mean wanting to stay
-
Thinking from his perspective, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to be clear favourites in all domestic competitions, be a force in Europe AND work with Ronaldo. The man will be guaranteed more trophies in a well run club in his home country. Here? You are not guaranteed anything, your players disobey you, fans abuse you, the board is shambles, not allowed to make signings while best player is leaving... Shit he'd be mad NOT to want it.
-
We brought him in mid-season having barely recovered from a one year long injury, safe to say no manager would have been a fan of that signing. And then he was sacked. In hindsight I understand why he didn't play him much, that doesn't mean he didn't like him and Emerson's now fully recovered and match fit. Conte's no fool and knows Serie A is not EPL, Italy is probably a more suitable league for Emerson anyway. I think it is plausible that he could be on his target list.
