according to wikipedia he's a second striker.
-
He has 5 assists this season. In comparison, Meireles has 4, Ramires has 5, Drogba has 4. He isn't doing bad in terms of assisting his teammates.

When reading a Sun article, you may as well skip all the gibberish which isn't in between quotation marks. The "less convincingly" is purely a journo's interpretation and should be ignored, as journalism is about reporting events and facts, not interpreting them. The whole point of the article was to make Studge look like a delusional megalomaniac, so naturally they would try to demonize the more positive quotes.
-
He insisted: “That’s the position I will always pick myself, centre-forward.” And added, less convincingly: “But whatever position the manager picks me in I’m happy and right now, for the team, I’m in the wide position. “I will always give 100 per cent and work as hard as I can to get the success we all want.” Tbh I've never heard him moan about playing on the wing. He's just saying he's a centre-forward and prefers that position. If you put Terry in midfield I'm sure he'd say the same thing.

He's also been criminally underrated in every FM.

Thinking we would win the EL with youths and/or reserves is naive. The first message it would send out is "we don't care about this competition" hence our players will be demotivated and opponents will smell blood and really have a go at us. This is a competition that middle-upper teams take very seriously, as it's their only realistic chance for European glory. Take it as a stroll in the park, you end up like the mighty Mancs. Still, talks about Europa League are a bit premature.

Mourinho was a master in making the whole team defend and attack as a unit. When we defended, everybody was a defender, when we attacked, everybody was an attacker. You can still see this philosophy in the players of his era, a la Drogba. So in that sense I feel only a Mourinho-esque manager would effectively make Studge do his defensive duties and be more of a team player even if he doesn't like it (think of Joe Cole before and after Mourinho).

I actually find the keeper's actions funnier. What a donk.
-
Isn't Hilario our 2nd? Always has been afaik.
-
I would. He still has the opportunity to earn mad cash somewhere in Arabia, China or USA for many years. Wouldn't be surprised if he went back to France, surely somebody would take him so he would have no reason to end his career.
-
We are the last team to criticize mercenaries.
-
I will be mightily disappointed if Chelsea don't sell him. I think he's on huge payroll too, a good place to start cutting.
-
Sturridge is having a bad spell, ffs is it the first time you see a player having a bad spell? Don't give up now.. He's young as fuck and talented as shit. He just needs EXPERIENCE, decision making comes with it, cooler head comes with age. And he's English (home grown quota). Mancini publicly stated he regretted selling him, chances are we will too.
-
Oh shiiiiiet... he was probably trying to get himself off as not to humiliate himself some more. He, for one, should know the devastating effect a serious injury can have on your career and it was malicious of him to try and do that to Carroll. Should be sold, generally he's no use to us anymore.
-
Yes
-
In 2nd half Terry wasn't that bad anymore. Actually the whole team picked up a bit and the only reason we conceded then was because of Ross's moment of brilliance.
-
Subbed for who? Hutchinson? He would've been ripped by Carroll in air imo. And we were lacking leadership as it was, without Terry we would've been even more disjointed imo.

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

Not many options left then. But it's almost certain that at least one of them will play some part in the game, so whether we like it or not, we'll see them. If not one of them, then only options left are Ryan and Torres.. I'm not a fan of those choices either. This situation highlights how shit our wing situation truly is now that Mata has been permanently placed in the middle where he belongs. Whoever we choose it will still have to be Cole and Bosingwa to put out performances of lifetime. @Manuf: Bertrand IS registered now. -

I don't think Ryan has played even a minute in CL, it would be a huge risk to play him for the first time and out of position as well (although his original position was left winger). -

Our team is pretty much set. Our only thought-provoking areas are the wings. It's pretty safe to say that Kalou will start on one wing and Rambo would've started on the other, but now our options are thin in terms of wingers who are able to help defensively. Only Malouda is left as a capable defensive winger. I don't see many other options. There is also the chance that Robbie decides to play 4-3-3 in which case Mata would be pushed out wide, but he is also a defensive liability. Whatever we choose, it won't be ideal (fucking suspensions). Something like this perhaps if we're going more defensive: Bosingwa - Cahill - Luiz - Cole Mikel - Lampard Kalou - Mata - Malouda Drogba If not, then Studge would be the logical more attacking replacement for FloMo. We shall see how we start the game, if it doesn't work, then they can be subbed for one another in the 2nd half. I somewhy have a feeling that Robbie will opt for Sturridge though, because otherwise we have no real drive in attack with Rami's absence. Torres is one to be considered also, but that would be a first and a risk. It's really a tough one, I wouldn't want to be in Robbie's position. -
Guys, this thread has long gone over the 100 page mark.. there is no way in hell we're gonna get him now. We have only ourselves to blame for that. Should've locked it at 99.

Who uses Fifa for scouting? You can't rate a player with one overall score. Football Manager is for that

what was offside?
-
He didn't score in this useless game, he scored in the final.

and that's that.. may as well sticky it.
