I think JT leaving will be harder for me than Frank. I consider them both absolute all time greatest here, Legends with a capital L, but JT is born and bred in blue. He just cannot leave, EVER!

So I'm officially an addict now, with diagnosis n shit. And befittingly drunk at the moment. ANybody else??
-
Perhaps. Think I took less interest in that sensationalist story than everybody else.
-
I don't know about the abortion part, sounds really made up, and the rest of the story you could only read from the Chelsea and especially Terry hating press. Afaik JT and Bridge's wife continue denying those accusations. And yes, not that it matters, everybody knows he can be a dick but we are talking football here, and the main point that should have been stressed was that he is a fantastic footballer, not the cretin part.
-
Good that you know him personally. Speaking about football like we do here, saying he is a fantastic footballer would have sufficed.
-
People blame him for everything because they show him on the telly and photos the most. I don't believe he makes the big decisions, he is more likely a patsy.
-
To replace Terry? HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
-
No, retirement would have been a good time. Doubt the club will organize him a testimonial either.
-
Maybe he has really bad stamina and is conserving himself? This would explain why he's not used more often or for full games (except today, where being active wasn't that necessary). But the way he plays when he has the ball is great, he's a really menacing physical presence, but this is not enough to break through in the PL. I agree, at the moment he's best suited as CAM, not CM. EDIT: I thought he was great today, championship level is too easy for him.

People who are suggesting all sorts of foreign players instead of Stones, how would you comply with HG quota in the future? Who would you rather sign who is HG and isn't worse than Stones?

Too lazy to pm. Jim

No, I mean when I'm writing a post and want to preview it before making public. It was possible before, useful in case of long posts or extensive use of BBCode to check out the formatting before posting.

Why doesn't Abramovich get anywhere near so much critique? I've heard many times that he has the final say in everything. He hired those people so it all comes down to him. Also, contrary to popular belief, I don't think Cuadrado and Pedro were bad transfers. They were known as quality players, one coming off from a spectacular WC and the other being a useful cog in Barca's machine. Has anybody noticed that attacking players tend to flop here more often than not? Not sure it has much to do with the bureaucrats, but rather team management. Anyway, imo Cuadrado was and Pedro is a sensible signing, but one didn't work out and the other one is too soon to judge especially under spectacular circumstances (coming to the worst Chelsea team in decades, Pedro was never meant to be a player to fix that).

Not everybody has the ambition to carve his/her name in stone, especially when you know you are too limited to play a serious role in serious teams. He lived the football dream with us, achieved more than most players of his calibre will ever achieve and is now going to stroll through a mickey mouse league for insane money. I would also be very tempted. I think I have heard he does charity in Brazil, didn't he grow up in some shitty place and is now helping children in that region? Or was it Diego, or both? Anyway, this could be good means to raise funds for his projects.. just like Drogba did.

Are you always high?

Was against it initially when I thought it would be a permanent move, but a short-term loan with a smaller wage to replace our worst striker I agree with wholly. He will have a few chances to show himself, but doubt he'll set the world alight as he'll always be behind Costa and Hazard in the pecking order. But he might be able to displace Remy(if he stays) and Pedro if he really performs, which would mean considerable amount of action.
-
Yeah, makes sense. Not from our part though.
-
China though? He's only 28, he would easily play in many top European teams. Not top top teams, but the Liverpools and AC Milans of this world. Where is his ambition? Doubt he'll be getting anywhere near the Brazilian squad playing in China. Nevertheless, for all his faults, overall he has been a success and has left a lot of heart and sweat on Stamford Bridge. Good luck to him wherever he goes.
-
Don't think we need to be buying now unless a good option is available, but more likely in the summer. RLC has replaced him on the bench, let's keep it that way.
-
What it looks like to me is that he's applauding and gesturing that they're in his heart, he didn't even touch the Chelsea badge. People trying to stir drama out of nothing.
-
Serious or joking?
-
I don't know if it's just poorly worded, but a one year deal worth £120K means his weekly wage is £2500.. very much doubt that. More likely that it's 120K/pw and it's worth £5,76M, which is ridiculous, that is why I doubt this number either way.

Now I'm just confused. Off googling I go.
