  1. How do I go to first unread post? The button is there in "unread content", but in regular forum view I can't see it.
  2. Every year people wish happy new year, but it just proves that wishes don't come true, so I see no point in saying those empty words. But still, it's social convention so happy new year from me too.
  3. A youtube player. You can take for example his game against Sunderland, extract the fancy stuff and slap it in a video, but what youtube scouts don't realize is that the next highlight is ~5-10 games later and the previous one was also much earlier. Too hot and cold, mostly cold. Verdict: get rid.
  4. I see what you mean. I have thought for years that maybe, just maybe our coaching staff is not all that. I don't know if it's just me, but notice how most of the technical players we sign lose their ability over time. They become unrecognizable, while the butch tanks almost always flourish and improve here. Could be that they have this old school Mourinho-esque approach and don't really know what to do with all the flashy players. We are still trying to play like we always have, but it clearly isn't working because the profile of the players just doesn't suit. This, for me, is an indication of possible stagnation in coaching methods. This is just a far fetched theory of mine.
  5. Sad thing is he probably is the closest thing we got after Terry.
  6. Mata, Schürrle, Cuadrado, Salah and Pedro all tried, but failed. Willian has seen off some good players like Drogba did with the strikers who were supposed to replace/upgrade him.
  7. He makes such perfectly timed last ditch tackles quite often. I don't think he's ever particularly failed in pulling them off. The ones on Agüero and Walcott pop to my mind first, but there have been more. He is an excellent ground tackler, that is his best attribute alongside aerial command and pace. If he improves his reading of the game, positioning (both come with experience) and technical ability (something I have doubts over with our coaching staff) he will be world class. I think he is already our best CB, but that doesn't say much.
  8. Why not? If Mourinho goes there the chances increase, they have unlimited money to tempt him. I don't know why any truly world class player would want to stay in Chelsea beyond the summer. Maybe Simeone could convince him to stay if he really wants to leave.
  9. And during that week his biggest change has been defrosting Mikel. He is playing teams that can only draw when we need to win at any cost, if that is his aim then well done we are firmly on track of averaging a point per game. Let's hope that's enough to avoid relegation. But I've seen progress too - RLC got his big career-advancing academy day against United, that's better than what Jose could offer.
  10. I'm beyond caring at this point tbh... predicted 0-0 to my united fan coworker before the game, more pleased with the correct prediction than the flaccid point.
  11. Not an excuse for me. There were rumours for a long time that he'd be the interim so he knew, he had time to watch games and analyze. There is no excuse to keep playing Ivanovic/Azpilicueta at the positions they are playing, none.
  12. Can somebody explain why we fired Jose just to bring in another coach who plays the same turds who got us in this mess?
  13. Not a chance. He is our best CB.
  14. I will be fucking fuming if he suddenly starts playing youth and offensive interesting football at United. Instead I hope he converts Phil Jones to RB and plays Rooney each game every minute. Fellaini should become an untouchable due to his height. I hope he fucks them up as bad as he did with us.
  15. So you're blaming even your gambling habit on Jose?
  16. As much as I hate to say it, leaving chelsea would be best for his career.
  17. The only real argument they bring forward is the number of trophies he's won. I have never really heard any of them talking about the bigger picture, analyzing in depth or whatnot... it's all only about trophies.
  18. No word on his tactical and line-up decisions, no? Didn't think so.
  19. Pretty much, although Pedro could replace Oscar and Terry for Cahill in that line-up. Baba might replace Azpi. But other than that, this is what we'll see.
  20. If it's true, they should be worried about their own quality.
  21. So by that logic last season was all players as well? You can't give Mourinho any credit for last season if you don't give him blame for this. For all the brilliant points brought up in this topic, I can't believe there are still people who don't see any fault in Jose.
