  2. I will be there, Shed End for me. I'll ask the gaffer if we can come down a bit earlier and perhaps meet up.
  3. John Motson <3 People slag him off, but he's probably the most articulate and intelligent commentator out there. Has a stat or two as well.
  4. Stoke away was, for want of a better expression, fucking mega last year, and it's a day I'm sure you'd enjoy - infact I'll be there myself. Not sure how far away from the station it is, but its incredibly easy to get to by car or bus. Great stadium as well.
  5. I agree, I think the BBC are the only competent broadcasters for sports these days.
  6. Surprised to see people writing off United. If anything they'll be even stronger this season, everyone is dashing their chances just because they've lost Ronaldo. We all know United - it'll just inspire them on, trying to prove the doubters wrong. Liverpool have sold their midfield linchpin (watch Gerrard's performances suddenly fall), Arsenal have a mean midfield but their defence is lacking, and Man City will take months to gel together - plus their defence is woefully overrated besides Bridge. Can't even see them challenging tbf, they'll go on a decent run but then succumb under the pressure of expectation.
  7. Done. Your log-in name remains the same.
  8. Completely agree. It's all fine and dandy going away to a foreign league and impressing, but we want to know what he can do at the top level in England, not Italy or Holland.
  9. Good, in my opinion - United and Liverpool and Arsenal have had masses of comings and goings which will affect the team chemistry, whilst we essentially have the same squad that finished last season. Confidence in each other's ability from the players is of extreme importance, and the togetherness of the squad can win us games.
  10. From players that have been at the club during my life-time: Petr Cech Dan Petrescu John Terry Marcel Desailly Ashley Cole Claude Makelele Frank Lampard Dennis Wise Eidur Gudjohnsen Didier Drogba Gianfranco Zola
  11. Shame he won't be fit for Saturday, but we have Malouda who was full of running the other day.
  12. Top two will definitely be Manchester United and Chelsea.
  13. I'm not the biggest fan of La Liga so someone may have to voice their opinion as well, but from what I saw of Espanyol he was their best player last season, at least the most-consistent.
  14. You're welcome... I had to find my rules book and have a look to double-check though, I haven't quite learnt it all to memory just yet
  15. Glad he's staying - provided he remains injury free. Still a great player but I think we should have sold him. Hopefully he can have a good, solid season which will make up for being injured for so much of last year.
  16. I'd love to hear one Hip-hop version of Blue Day by Dr. Dre and a heavy metal Blue Is The Colour by Metallica
  17. Players like Beckham, Kaka, Messi, Ronaldo, and Buffon should be on the cover if EA want to sell more copies, as you could argue they are some of the bigger names in football, but as long as Frank is on there, I won't feel so sick playing it anymore
  18. I know it was only on penalties, but it feels great to have won a shootout.
  19. Could get him in on loan from Jan to March like Milan did, would be awesome tbh.
  20. How I loved the game against Arsenal last season, after they'd taken the piss out of us after getting knocked out by Barca
  21. I wish JT had have taken the last penalty, and it had have gone in off the post.
