  1. That was in the 02/03 season, and if my memory serves me right, was the last goal he scored for us.
  2. Sahar was never going to play at Pompey, they had Crouch, Defoe, Utaka, etc. when he was there. Sinclair is a genuine replacement from Valencia.
  3. Since it's Real, they can have him for £50 million.
  4. He actually had more minutes under Grant than anyone.
  5. Lyon have given up trying to sign him, he didn't want to return, since it was they who sold him to Nice in the first place.
  6. Completely agree. Anyone who scores 25 goals for a top-flight club in a season more than deserves a contract extension.
  7. If you want pace and power in attack, I point you the way of Nice's Loic Remy. He is only 22 years old and scored 11 goals in Ligue Un last season, and looks to be in the same mould as Anelka.
  8. Member pack any good this year? I haven't bothered with it since 05/06.
  9. Well I think it shows promise for di Santo and Sinclair if they are being loaned out to top-flight opposition. I was keen to see Sinclair go on loan to a top division side this season because it is a lot easier to track his progress and assess his qualities. If he has a decent spell at Wigan then there will most likely be a place for him in the squad next term. But with Sinclair now out on loan and Joe Cole nowhere near full fitness, we only have two recognised wide players in the squad - Malouda and Yuri.
  10. Excellent move for him, PL experience will be vital for him.
  11. The TV broadcasters saw he was obviously pissed, they could have simply turned the cameras off. I don't think he acted like a moron anyway, its how hundreds of thousands of people worldwide felt.
  12. Reminds me of a young Ivica Olic, who is one of my favourite players. He's a workhorse like Tevez, not a 25 goal a season striker.
  13. Think it would be a great move for him, on loan, much like Mancienne going to Wolves and di Santo to Rovers. I think Sinclair is too good for the Championship after proving himself to be adept in that particular league, and a step up for him is a move to a club like Wigan where he is likely to play around 20 games in the PL.
  14. I don't remember saying that you said that. My point argues against your own - that every fan should buy every home kit.
  15. The megastore has moreorless everything on the website mate... bar a few things. There are lots of things there that aren't on the online stores as well.
  16. I wonder what the odds are for a Drogba hat-trick against Burnley? I'm sticking a fiver on whatever they are.
  17. I would say its passion... but spitting and snotting... its fucking hilarious
  18. Milan have released a statement saying he isn't for sale.
  19. Add Edin Dzeko and Loic Remy to the list.
  20. Didier Drogba has penned his new three-year contract at Chelsea. Drogba told skysports.com that he was set to sign his new deal, and now he has inked his contract. The Ivorian star has agreed a two-year extension to his deal, which sees him committed to Stamford Bridge until 2012. The 31-year-old striker has constantly been linked with a a move to Inter Milan where former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is in charge. But Drogba - who joined The Blues in 2004 from Marseille - is delighted to commit his future to the club. "I have decided to extend my contract with Chelsea for two extra years and I am very happy and proud to continue to wear the blue of Chelsea until then,' Drogba told the club's official website. "I love the club, I feel good here and I want to continue to win titles with them. "I stay because I am ambitious to pick up lots more trophies, regain the Premier League title, win cups, it's for this that I have extended my time at Chelsea. "But my number one objective is to win the Champions League. I am convinced that this year we can go to the end and finally lift this trophy. "I'd like to take advantage of this message to thank the Chelsea supporters who have always encouraged me with fervour as well as all my fans." From Sky.
  21. No Pirlo... Pizarro going to Milan... am I dreaming?
  22. Anelka will benefit from Drogba being in the team, as we saw towards the end of the season.
  23. Yeah spot on there Kez. If the shirt comes down in price to about £20, I'd consider buying it, but it certainly isn't something I'd spend in the regions of £45 for.
  24. If we were willing to offer amounts like £60 million for players like Torres and Shevchenko in the past, why not do the same now, for a striker who's best years are ahead of him?
