  1. I was about to call Martin Lipton one of the worst journalists out there until I realised that would be complimenting him. The guy probably hasn't even got a GCSE in English, does he know how to string together a coherent sentence and have an ounce of purpose to his writing? Its almost like he is locked in a dark room in front of a black and white television doing re-runs of classic Chelsea thrashings of Tottenham.... biased wanker.
  2. If that happens, and Sturridge is on the bench, the entire management team can just fuck off.
  3. If Yossi Benayoun doesn't start I'll be really annoyed, and it will confirm the point that Ancelotti selects his team on the basis of their name and reputation.
  4. That argument became invalid the moment the Premier League became 'competitive.'
  5. Are people taking a top four finish for granted as well? Cech Ferreira - Luiz - Terry - Cole Mikel Ramires - Benayoun Kalou - Drogba - Zhirkov Lampard, Torres, Malouda, Anelka, Essien, Alex and Turnbull on the bench. However, knowing Ancelotti, we'll see: Cech Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - Cole Essien Ramires - Lampard Anelka - Torres - Malouda
  6. Besides, Atleti are probably only doing this to get more money from United. Why the fuck would we try and sign another goalkeeper when we have the world's best playing for us?
  7. Behave, judge Torres after 18 months, not 693 minutes that feature piss-poor service.
  8. Chelsea will only ever win the Champions League if the manager instils in them that they must forget Moscow, Ovrebo, The Ghost Goal et al.
  9. I think saying there can be absolutely no complaints is a little wide of the mark, so I agree with you. But we have to concede the best team went through - but like you say. Chelsea, European Cup? It just won't ever happen.
  10. I think we should judge this man - the best player in our history - by his standards next season. I certainly won't complain if he scores 20 goals again.
  11. Adidas Response Pro negative/inverted cut motion arresters. The same as the current 2011 edition, with a multi-coloured palm.
  12. Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely. I've been saying this for some time - we were only postponing the inevitable when we sacked Scolari. This was always going to happen simply because of age; our players are only getting older. The 'transitional season' has come and gone and in all fairness, 2nd/3rd in the Premier League and the last eight of the European Cup isn't half bad when you consider the doom-and-gloom predictions of December. Thoroughly agreed. I'd give this post 10 rep points if I could, absolutely spot on.
  13. Heh, can't knock Ferreira - he did more in 7 minutes than Lampard and Malouda did in 90.
  14. If you weren't such a cynical, hypercritical moron, you'd have a microcosm of respect on here as you quite clearly know your football. Shame.
  15. Good post. Sadly I think Ancelotti will be sacked - this was his chance for redemption but unfortunately it just wasn't to be. There are positives we can take from this season - Cech, Ramires and Luiz have been superb and we have a man who, if his confidence returns, could bang in 30 goals next season in Torres. As disappointing this may be for us - we have to stomach it and move on.
  16. Chelsea til I die. We lost - to the best team over the two legs. But I felt nothing but pride for the last half an hour. From ecstasy to despair in twenty seconds, the lads did not give up. If we'd have defended properly after the restart we might be discussing a famous win, but it just wasn't to be. An uphill task from the moment Rooney scored, Ramires' sending off confirmed our fates and Drogba's magnificent goal only set out to deflate us further. This has not been our season - but we will bounce back. A massive overhaul in the summer - and the fact we can now focus on the league and finish second - means that a respectable finish in the table to this season is met by what looks like a season of promise next year. We will be back. Carefree.
  17. Game/tie/season over I'm afraid. Optimism is one thing, but even blind faith can't see us through this now. I just hope they give it all and go out with a bang in Europe, as opposed to the usual whimper courtesy of a shocking refereeing decision. Oh, hang on...
  18. I love the goalkeeper shirt, for two reasons: it looks awesome, first and foremost.it means we won't have a white away kit
  19. I'm beginning to get doubtful. We need the performance of our boys' lives tonight. COME ON YOU BLUES.
  20. And yet, in football, the only statistic that wins matches is by scoring goals. If Kalou continues to score goals for Chelsea whilst causing a vein on your forehead to venomously pulsate, I'm quite happy.
