  1. Absolutely. We definitely need more creativity in the side, which is why many of us wanted Benayoun to stay, as he is another option off the bench. Josh also needs more game time as he has the eye for a nice reverse pass, like Ramsey. It also scares me that Lampard is still our main source of goals despite him being past his best (that is not an attack on him, I think he's been brilliant so far this season, since the Valencia game, at least) and supposedly having Torres, Sturridge, Anelka, Mata, Drogba, Lukaku and Malouda as 'forwards.'
  2. If we made the MHL and Shed End lower standing terraces (which they already are, practically), we could probably squeeze another 1,000 people in, at most. It would certainly help the atmosphere though... Families almost always sit in the East Lower anyway, and keeping the upper tiers as seating would be a; safer, and b; family-friendly.
  3. Haha, is that a recent picture? I ask because he hasn't worn those gloves since last November....
  4. Got 9 of them right, forgot about the Charlton game though!
  5. Looking forward to us shocking the world and beating Spain next week!!
  6. So it's only taken 12 goals in Sturridge's last 19 Premier League before Capello starts to realise he's international quality? Clown.
  7. The above post perhaps justifies my position as forum statto
  8. How did he miss?! Caught in two minds I think, very similar to when Malouda's cross found Sturridge but he tried to bring it down instead of heading it. Van Persie missed a very similar chance against us last week... but either way, another shocker. Should be on seven or eight for the season by now.
  9. 177 goals for the club... 16 more and he'll be level with Kerry Dixon
  10. Ivan looked a little more comfortable at RB yesterday and reverting to the old Ash-JT-Alex-Bran back four paid rich dividends. I believe that should be our backline for the remainder of the season. Alex has started two league games this season. We've kept two clean sheets.
  11. Deserved his little bit of luck yesterday for his character and commitment, a genuine Chelsea legend.
  12. I think they ought to go to the training ground and do some drills before they play FIFA 12, personally
  13. What a performance from the big man! Playing with a broken nose for 70 minutes, puts cunts like Tevez into perspective!! Hero!
  14. ALL NOMINATIONS FOR THE AWARD HERE PLEASE! Nominations close Monday evening and the poll will go public on Tuesday. Please remember not to nominate staff; although we appreciate the commendation, this is an award for the members! Please try and keep the number of nominations to one per member, and the final shortlist will then be decided by the staff in terms of who receives the most votes/and is the most deserving.
  15. AVB says Cech has a broken nose, what a fucking hero!
  16. #Lampardisalegend - and won me £60. What a fucking babe.
  17. Well, what a sight for a sore eyes that is. A first clean sheet in the Premier League since August ensures that we return to winning ways after our double derby-day disappointment that saw October come to a stuttering close. A faltering performance in Belgium will not have improved the team's confidence, but this is a win that has all the hallmarks of the efficient, robust Chelsea of yesteryear. A compact, resolute defensive performance crowned by a masterclass by Petr Cech will no doubt be a massive morale booster heading into the international break, and a case study in clinical brilliance was delivered via the forehead of Frank Lampard to meet Branislav Ivanovic's excellent cross from out wide. This is the sort of result we can be proud of. Chelsea under AVB will champion a newfound sense of adventure and play all-out attacking football, but the battling performances away to the likes of Blackburn can define a season. Last season we showed remarkable character to come from a goal down at Ewood Park; this season, similar courage was on view. It's always a tight old tussle against Rovers, and this is a result to saver. The complaints will come rolling in that we were too lethargic, perhaps even insipid in an attacking sense, but that was the sign of the Chelsea of old - and, more importantly, the gap between us, Arsenal and Liverpool is a relatively healthy three points. Frank Lampard statline: 1 goal, 4 shots, 89% (63/71) passing including 25/31 in the final third, 2 chances created. He's far from done!
  18. Tommy your match reports aren't as good as they used to be... you should be glad your African Ramires scored his first Champions League goal, must be special.
