Well sometimes I have to question myself haha! Just try to keep up to the date, you wouldn't actually believe how often people come in and ask me for football scores -

My managers couldn't afford to fire me. Quite literally. Despite watching the games I am the hardest-working member of staff where I work, bar none. -
RDM is a lucky manager. You don't sack a lucky manager. You keep him.

Not one. Even was I working, I'd have the game on my phone and I'd stand listening to it or watching it in between serving customers. I'd change the radio frequency to Five Live or put Soccer Saturday on. I'd constantly be on the phone checking the score every 30 seconds, on Twitter or on the BBC website. Fuck work, my team's more important The managers always knew never to talk to me after we'd lost as well. They'd send me home early because otherwise I'd be in a terrible mood lmao! But if we win they'd keep me on until the early hours because there is a distinct correlation between the quality and friendliness of my customer service and the Chelsea result. -
No-one can say di Matteo does not deserve this. Fair point that he sacrificed our league form for the cup competitions (in my opinion a little prematurely, it wasn't really until the Newcastle result that we were out of the equation), and that the style of play, at times, was very negative. But it was successful, winning football. In 50 years, no-one will remember di Matteo as the man who led a Chelsea side to an incredible Double just through shit football. He'll simply be remembered as a genius. And rightly so. This was the right appointment, even if it seen by some as just a sentimental gesture to appease the fans.

I love Didier Drogba for everything he's done for the club, perhaps more than most. I remember being extremely excited when he first arrived because I remember seeing him in Marseille's UEFA Cup run. He was brilliant and I thought we'd signed a real talent. I wasn't wrong! But my point is this - Didier is just one of a quintet of players who are perhaps five of the greatest ever men to pull on a Chelsea shirt. I'm referring to John Terry, Petr Cech, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard and of course, Didier himself. Any of the five would be worthy of being immortalised forever in stone, but there are men like Gianfranco Zola who have never been given the honour of being put as a statue. Maybe in 50 years. Think how long it took for Osgood's statue to be commissioned and then sculpted. A statue should be a posthumous honour, in my personal opinion!

The new away kit looks absolutely fantastic. It was in the lower window of the megastore yesterday when I was at Stamford Bridge. Looking very, very nice indeed as a full kit. Can't wait to see the players wearing it.

The reason we are being harsh is because our hand has been forced. Time to set a precedent!
-
Shouldn't we be thanking Drogba for Drogba?

^ wow, great effort and an excellent save.

Difficult to predict but I would be very happy if we could achieve the following: Win the Club World Cup Win the European Super Cup. The Community Shield would also be a welcome bonus - to have won three titles by Christmas would set us in good stead. Win one of the domestic cups (Capital One Cup or FA Cup) Top three finish in the Premier League - obviously I want us to win the league, but it will be extremely difficult to do so as City and United will no doubt improve as well. Finishing as London's best club is also imperative after 11/12. Champions League semi-finals (this would represent a decent defence of our title) I believe this is a realistic target for next season.

In light of recent events, we, as Staff, have come up with a new linear warn system. In the past, certain events have made a mockery of the disciplinary system and as a result people have been able to get away with things. Furthermore, we're fairly lenient when it comes to suspensions/bans anyway. However all that is now changing. Everyone is being given a clean slate, meaning past transgressions (and warnings...) are being disregarded. Warn ratings will not be lowered as this means we would have to do it for each member. Plus, having warn records maintained ensures we are able to act with efficiency by taking the user into context, such as past behaviour (whether good or otherwise). We are therefore introducing a new 'three strikes and out' ruling, that is applicable to all members, regardless of time on the forum, status, post count and even moderator status. The first person subjected to this is Swedish House Mafia, who has been accelerated to a level two warning for his homophobic remarks. He has been suspended for a week and his contributions will be monitored after his return. I hope this clarifies the situation. We are enforcing this rule because an accumulation of past events has forced our hand. The amount of warnings Terminator X has had, for instance, has made a mockery of the old system. I can't remember how many 'final warnings' we've given him! This new system is simple and we feel that we are giving you guys all the opportunities we can. Its sad its had to come to this, but the spam posts are becoming incessant now. Remember we can accelerate you straight to a level two or three, so be mindful of what you're saying. I'm all for free speech, but there's free speech and then there's acting like a douche. Let's try and keep this place from following the route of other forums and together we can keep TalkChelsea's community as tightly-knit as it has ever been. There is no wonder so many great members have come and left - let's stop the current crop from following suit. Thanks, Alex (on behalf of Jim, Steve, Kez, oxfordblues, Artingo, Fulham Broadway, David EU, KieranVogel, EskWeston, Sh0n3x and Madmax).

Locking this because it's pretty clear why Killamanjaro wouldn't want to come back.

This spam is actually coming to the point where staff members can't be arsed coming on because sifting through pages of shift is not something we want to do in our spare time! I'm sorry if some of you think this is too Gestapo-like, but frankly some of the stuff on here is shocking. And then you wonder where most of the good members have gone...
-
Just to add to what Kez said - this topic is a fucking embarrassment. Unless post quality improves, repeat offenders will have their content moderated for an indefinite period.

£4.99. It's available on the megastore site, too.
-
He breaks the Likes system and you want to sleep with him? I made the like system, what do you want to do with me?
-
Correct. Until you see a registered bid, nothing is happening.
-
I would not be adverse to having a player of Ba's proven Premier League quality. He is a far better option than Sturridge.
-
Sam you're my man crush.
-
Except he was number 14 9 should have been retired when Boulahrouz left.
-
That relies quite heavily, then, on us being able to utilise a deep-lying playmaker. Unfortunately we don't have a player we could 'convert' to the role.
