Don't tell the Mods what they "should" be doing. I'm sure the TalkChelsea populace has the right to post whatever sources they want. If you wish to discredit them, then do so to your own individual discretion before appointing yourself representative of the people.

Probably going to get slaughtered by Ivanovic if he plays. That'll put his price down, if he only has one leg left.
-
RVP is good, but he's not great. We should be more sore about losing Didier, than they are of losing that one-season wonder. Injury problems galore.
-
Can't wait to see Hazard rip him a new one, then we'll all be glad we have Azpilicueta.
-
The way Chelsea are operating nowadays, our signings are bolts-out-of-the-blue. Wouldn't be surprised to see a link on here to an article saying BLUES LAND HULK, AZPILICUETA AND MOSES very soon tbh.
-
Woah, people you do realise that RDM is trying to make us play like Spain, right? That means we need a poacher. Sturridge couldn't finish his dinner and Torres is about as consistent as the British summer weather. Cheese Dorito is the type of option we need.

We've just got rid of one useless winger, let's not kid ourselves just because Sinclair had an average season in an average side. Take away his pace and he's shite. Really don't rate him, and wouldn't be bothered if he went to one of our rivals. He's no better than what City have. He wouldn't get into the Arsenal side ahead of Walcott and Chamberlain and he wouldn't even make the bench at United.

What a fucking fantastic signing for Southampton! I'm really happy for them, this is a quality, quality player and this is testament to the league improving and becoming more competitive. Great signing for them, its signings like this that remind me I'm first and foremost a football fan, and a Chelsea fan second.

Well it's not like he won't get paid...
-
If Lollichon requested it, then that's fair enough. Hope he doesn't feel too gutted/rub it in our faces at the end of the game!
-
He'll play quite often. Forest still haven't really replaced Wes Morgan, who went to Leicester. He's very tenacious and competent across the defence. Mourinho used him as a full-back, di Matteo as a centre back. Very vesatile player. Similar attributes to Gary Cahill, and a similar style of play also.
-
If Spurs want him, the asking price is £30 million. If Napoli want him, it's £10 million. Pretty fair I'd say.

What I imagine Pep with RDM as assistant would be like.

^ Amen to that. People who criticise him are just jealous fools as far as I'm concerned. You may as well call Ferguson lucky while you're at it. -
For a club like Chelsea? No. For Wigan - yes. That's half of their annual wage bill done and dusted.
-
Welcome to the forum. We already have a topic about Sam Hutchinson in our player database. Feel free to ask about him there! Alex.

Well, you're not really making a point are you? You're just stringing together a shitload of generalisations. Like I said, I have already acknowledged your point. I disagreed with it. I do not have to agree with it to accept it, which is something you are struggling to comprehend, it would appear. I see exactly what you mean by the fact this will inflate the transfer market. But PSG, Anzhi, Real, City - even Liverpool - are contributing towards this inflated market. The smaller clubs are getting bolder and are getting more bang for their buck. Who can blame Dave Whelan for holding out for more money? The fact is, there is no such thing as correct value-for-money on players. You either over-spend (ie. Torres, Shevchenko), or under-spend (Cech, Cahill). You do not sign players for a particular value just because that is your evaluation of his worth. You sign players for what the asking club wants. Whether that amount is higher or lower than their actual worth is tough - you have to deal with that. That means that if you want a player, you have to play a certain amount. Now you can argue about that all you like, but that is the grim reality of the transfer market.
-
I see what you're saying, but you are still missing my point. To me, it doesn't matter if he costs £20 million, £30 million or £40 million. Why? Because di Matteo wants him, because he feels he would bring something different to the squad. I fully trust his judgement on the matter, and therefore you sign the player regardless of the price.
-
That's what we're going for. Its an easy option. As I say, its Chelsea-related transfer talk only. You can say that RVP was never linked to us, but we discussed him in a CFC context. Now people are talking about RVP in a MUFC context, which is nothing to do with the concept of "TalkChelsea". Furthermore, why make a new forum to discuss other teams and their players when we already have suitable forums for this? The transfer market is only open for four months a year anyway, and 99% is just pure speculation. No need in making new forums to give coverage, what we have is suitable enough.
-
Haha been there, done that one mate! So many people slag us off, you can't deny the fact we're DOUBLE winners though hahaha!
-
You're clearly missing the point. What you evaluate as a player's worth has absolutely no bearing. Exactly. If the asking price is unrealistic then so be it. There is no consistency in the transfer market. Porto are known to be robbing bastards, why should we expect anything else? You're just going down a slippery slope now. Pointless argument. You don't pay a player's worth. You pay an amount close to the asking club's evaluation. Whether you agree with said evaluation or not, that is the asking price, and you have to reach an approximation of that figure to secure the player.

For me, banter only goes to far when I'm exchanging punches
-
The transfer area is for CFC only. Moving the topics to Football Banter is an option though.
-
I don't think it should be so definite. As long as Bertrand gets 10 or so starts and makes another 15-20 sub appearances, it is progression.
-
Nando is a great guy and he is absolutely spot on - us fans have dug him out of some depths this past season for sure!
-
He was probably amazed that another bald black man could miss open goals with such aplomb... his genius is not individual it would seem.
