  1. They're clearly tapping him up unless Chelsea have given them permission to talk to him. Why don't we loan him to them for two years and offer £25 million for Lewa
  2. Isco is a great young talent with plenty of potential. I love the way he's been tearing up Norway's under-21 team. I also love the way Mata has been tearing up the Premier League for the last two years. In terms of potential, players very rarely reach the heights they are expected to. Take Wayne Rooney; he is nonetheless a wonderful player, but he is nowhere near the heights many people thought he could reach. Isco, Mata, and Oscar are all different players. You can tell that from the fact they play in different positions. Isco has a sort of explosive dynamism to his play that Mata doesn't have - it's a trait he shares with players like Ronaldo and Hazard. He has the ability to suddenly surge forward, whereas Mata is a lot more patient in possession of the ball. Mata is the more-rounded of both players by a long, distance, but of course a lot of that will be down to age and experience. But let's not forget, he's only 25, and he is only going to get better. Oscar is different to both players, and like TOPTB, I think he has the potential to be better than both players. In terms of raw potential and ability, all three are some way behind Hazard, in my opinion. He has absolutely everything. In three-four years' time, I genuinely think people could be talking about Hazard in a similar way to how they talk about Ronaldo right now. Ronaldo was 22 in the 06/07 season - otherwise known as when he single-handedly won United the title. Hazard isn't at that level yet, but CR7 had been in England for two years already by that stage. Give him time, and he could be just as good. The fact is, all four players offer something very different. What's great is we own three of them.
  3. You'd imagine it wouldn't be us, right? Will be one of the newly-promoted teams, or someone like Newcastle or Sunderland who are looking for more attacking options.
  4. That Tancredi guy, and all the other "ITK" "agents" on Twitter are just trolls, fishing for likes.
  5. His crossing isn't even that bad. Put some absolute beauties into the box, especially with his left foot (love how he likes to cut inside and cross, with either foot - a real quality there) - just has no-one to attack them.
  6. ^ alone, as a top, that's hideous, but the whole idea was to make the 09/10 kit look like a full uniform, and it looked pretty damned good on the players.
  7. I think we will only sign one - if any - midfielder this window. I would prefer it to be De Rossi. He is cheaper, and arguably more suited to our squad if we are only to sign one midfield player. He addresses our more immediate concerns.
  8. @LatestTwitterBullshitTransferRumours: Alex Hinsley has reportedly completed a deal to bring Edinson Cavani to England. @LatestTwitterBullshitTransferRumours: The player will join his Tuesday evening five-a-side team on a two-year contract. @LatestTwitterBullshitTransferRumours: Cavani will be paid £6.21 an hour and will be given a Freddo for every goal he scores.

  10. Worst kit we've EVER had: Closely followed by: LOL
  11. ^ can you please work for Chelsea and sign everyone you KNOW will be world-class one day? Would certainly make things easier in the long-term.
  12. I disagree, but that's your opinion and I respect it! When I look at Sturridge, I fail to see anything special. He has his positives but he is lazy and egotistical, and that will prevent him from becoming world class. Give me a work-horse like Shane Long over him any day - I think there is a reason the club let him go, and that's because the manager at the time didn't think much of Sturridge.
  13. Sturridge is an average player. If you want world-class, look at Van Persie.
  14. I'm all for democracy and everyone having a fair say on things, but wow... just wow.
  15. You have absolutely missed my point... Last year we had Torres and Sturridge. Now we have Torres, Ba, Lukaku and Schurrle - four different styles of centre-forward. We don't absolutely need another striker, so if we miss out on Cavani it's no big deal. If we're so intent on another forward, buy a poacher.
  16. Didn't Roman also say that he'd give £10 million a year to the club after he departs? Absolute legend, a wonderful owner indeed.
  17. I agree with Sam, just not good enough. Has all the talent and the ability, but unlike the likes of Oscar, he doesn't have the mental strength and maturity, nor the intelligence on the pitch in making the right decision, to make the grade at Chelsea.
  18. I think we should also sell that Courtois bloke, along with every other half-decent player under the age of 25 we have. Let's resign Carvalho, Bridge, Gallas, Ferreira, Duff, Joe Cole, Cudicini, Tiago, Huth, Scott Parker, Geremi, Smertin, Glen Johnson, Kezman, Jarosik, Gudjohnsen, Babayaro, Makelele, Drogba and Robben and have a fucking Class of 2005 reunion.
  19. Luiz is a superb footballer, and that is his problem - he tends to overthink things, and relies on his skill to get out of danger. It can work most times, but he will be remembered for the times he fucks up, rather than the times he flicks the ball over an attacker's head and dribbles past a couple more guys, like he did against Nordsjaelland when we won 6-1 at the Bridge in December. He is an average centre-back. I say average, and by that, I mean average for a "big" club. He is no better or worse overall than the likes of Agger, Koscielny, Dawson, etc. He has some wonderful qualities but he is let down by his mental strength - his concentration is absolutely horrendous and his decision-making is questionable. I much prefer Cahill's style of kick-the-fucking-thing-away. People like him in midfield because he can express his attacking qualities and you can excuse the odd defensive slip-up because there are defenders behind who can cover for him. But the fact of the matter is we spent £25 million plus Matic, who is now supposedly worth £35 million, on a centre-back who can't defend very well, so we put him in midfield to disguise that fact. Of course he has had some absolutely immense games at the back for us, but the amount of times he's given balls away or played stupid passes and given the ball away is obscene. He's just lucky we have the likes of Cahill, Cole and Ivanovic alongside him, who are all exceptional on the recovery challenge, and Cech, who is probably the best goalkeeper in the world one-on-one - meaning he gets away with. My concern is he is going to do something horrendously stupid in a big game, and it is going to cost us silverware. Then, and only then, will people realise he is haphazard, and on the whole not good enough to be the first-choice defender at this club. His style of play is brilliant against weak teams who will give him the time and space, but against a team like Manchester City which has a freakishly-high work-rate and every midfielder will harass you when you have the ball he will be exposed. If the money is right, we should sell him. This team can score goals, but it can't keep them out anymore. The way you address that is to add some concrete to a relatively flimsy defence. Luiz offers so much in an attacking sense, especially in his long passing, but I personally feel that if a big bid comes in from Barcelona, Monaco, PSG or any other European moneybags club, we should seriously consider a sale. We might lose some attacking potency, but if we sell him for some of the prices I've seen quoted, that money can go towards a proper defender. We have rebuilt the attack of this team to an incredible degree yet the same - ageing - names are on the team-sheet at the back. Time to invest in some uncompromising defensive talent, and Luiz has to make way for that to occur.
  20. Really? If, in your opinion, Brazil's best player is a centre-half it speaks volumes of their World Cup chances. Brazil have a good team, without any truly outstanding individuals. Of course the likes of Thiago, Oscar and Neymar are good players, but, in my opinion, they are not at the "outstanding" level we'd associate with Juan Mata, Gareth Bale, Ronaldo, Schweinsteiger, Messi, etc. I think that will be both Brazil's biggest benefit in 2014, as well as their biggest downfall - they don't necessarily have the players to rescue them when playing against the world's best teams, but they function very well as a unit, specifically in attack. I think they might surprise a few people but they are a long way from looking like world champions. But as for Oscar, I absolutely adore him. His stamina is incredible, his tenacity is much overlooked and his creative vision is just jizz-worthy. Probably my favourite signing of the Abramovich era. He could be our midfield lynch-pin for the next 8/10/12 years.
  21. I don't think many people realise he pays approximately £4,075,000 a week in player wages.
  22. Probably the same "fans" who berate Torres for "being shit" after a 23-goal-season and deride Mikel, Marin and Moses - and even Andy, before he's even kicked a ball - because they're not household names.
  23. Imagine if Hazard did that? I bet you'd be like
  24. Whoever purchased that shirt should be executed.
