  1. Heaven forbid Lampard has gone to Man City to stay close to his family before he fucks off to America
  2. That isn't something I wrote, mate. I wouldn't forget the apostrophe in "hasn't"
  3. Some of the posts in this thread are fucking classic
  4. He's joining them until January, mainly to maintain match fitness. If he plays more than 20 games for them I'll be surprised. Really couldn't give a crap, I hope he does well there.
  5. If Torres went to a club that could cater to him, and build their entire system around how he plays, he'd easily score 25 a season. He is as good a finisher as Aguero or Costa, the difference is those guys got about 5 chances a game last season - Torres was lucky if he got even one. We've killed Torres, the fact he continues to show glimpses of how good he can be is testament to that. I want him to leave for the betterment of his own career, because he is still a brilliant striker.
  6. No, because Mark is going to be second-choice. Either Courtois will be loaned again, or Cech will be sold.
  7. Brilliant article mate. Posted it on the main site.
  8. The yellow kit doesn't look as good in person as it does in all the shiny promos. It's too bright a shade, I wish it was like the gold we had in 2008/09. Not bad though, its an 8/10 effort. The design is great, it's just the colourway - too bright. And the blue highlight/trim is almost neon. A real shame, it could have been a classic kit. Can't see myself buying any of the kits this season, the three we had last year shit on them. The best of the four is the keeper kit, but even that is ruined by the Spiderman webbing on the chest. Just goes to prove we shouldn't put too much stock in the shirts before we see the kits in person. Have to say our third kit is the best-looking of the three so far.
  9. Personally I can see Pete sticking around until January before moving. He has nothing to prove but everything to lose, it would seem, without doing all that much wrong.
  10. Exactly, the loan option is something people are forgetting. José has said Torres won't be sold. Doesn't mean we can't farm him off on loan somewhere and pay half his wages.
  11. That's the proudest I've ever been as a Chelsea fan. Hearing all those Arsenal fans singing "you're not Champions anymore" as we won a Cup double and completely cunted them over at their own ground with ten men, with them barely hanging on to draw.
  12. Probably not as much as I do... so seeing them throw the kitchen sink at us before we effortlessly steam-rollered them on their own turf to save English football is one of the most satisfying moments ever as a Chelsea fan.
  13. He's been running a goalkeeping soccer school. I presume he'll either join up with the squad later or stay at Cobham and train with the academy sides until the first team return. He knows he's going to be back-up this season, and José will want to use the game-time to assess Cech and Courtois.
  14. Lukaku was sold for £28 million, but people forget the loan fees - £4 million in total. As TX says, we've found a way of usurping the FFP regulations. Our transfer policy is absolutely magnificent. I really have to give it to Gourlay and Emenalo, because they're making UEFA look stupid.
  15. Very fair shout, totally forgot how much they managed to rip United off by!
  16. I wanna know where the fuck Everton have got £25 million from!
  17. Good luck to the lad though, I hope things work out for him. I don't know if it's a case of either Mourinho doesn't think he's good enough and/or Lukaku thinks he's better than he actually is... either way, hope things go well at Everton.
  18. After some people on here thought I was being offensive and disrespectful for saying I'm "over" Mata's departure, I'll state in advance I'll make no apologies for the following statement: Anyone else not really bothered that he's going? He's played for Chelsea about ten times, his attitude stinks (can't seem to deal with the competition) and every time I've watched him play for Everton he's mainly looked sloppy and lazy, and his inconsistent performances are papered over by a half-decent goalscoring return. £25 million to go and spend on someone who won't moan their way out of the club. José clearly doesn't think he's good enough for Chelsea, and I have to agree with him, personally. If that offends you then I can recommend a good cure for butthurt, but I have literally no emotional attachment to the player whatsoever. Sorry guys, but I'm siding with TSO's judgement here.
  19. His inconsistency concerns me. He's not as good as some people make him out to be, that's my point. As I said, I expect more consistency from him before we start to get too excited. We have a player on our hands here, but he's very, very raw. Regarding your first point, read my post and you'll see I already said that. I hope you're correct about Fabregas' arrival alleviating some of the pressure on him, and thus helping him become more expressive in matches. I had hoped Cesc coming would see us switch to a 4-3-3 which would reduce some of his defensive responsibility, but pre-season thus far indicates either a 4-1-4-1 or a 4-2-3-1.
  20. His Chelsea career ended the minute we signed Willian. The headstone was inscribed when Salah arrived. RIP Moses.
  21. Willian offers more to the team than Reus ever could. Willian's work-rate is phenomenal and we haven't even seen 10% of what he can do in an offensive capacity. He's a brilliant finisher and hugely skilful at dribbling. There's no denying Reus is the better attacking player overall, but in terms of the role dictated by Mourinho, Reus would be more akin to Mata and his relative lack of work-rate.
  22. I hate him. Genuinely hate him. He was never this bad when he was with us, either.
