Almost...

You know, up until short, there was a small part of me that somewhat felt sorry for him. But after preseason and especially his behaviour during this 'transfer-saga',... no there's nothing left there. No pity, no hatred... Just nothing.

Someone's been reading TC on the AC Milan forums... You think he sounds desperate?
-
That's a possibility. Just watch his first few matches at the WC. What's more, I think we are the kind of side ( being well-organised defensively) that he tends to really struggle against, so I expect a lot of bad first touches and mislaced passes.

The more I think about it, the more I believe I was wrong in saying it's a simple thing to do. I now believe it's very difficult and risky in it's own way . This is the key moment because the shot can still go anywhere. As I said before his left foot covers the space between his legs and his left knee his lower left side, but only partially. And this is important because Nugent shot would have passed him into the net had Courtois not stuck his leg out just in time. Had he been the tiniest of fractions slower he would have been too late, and 'szczesny's technique' maybe would have been more succesful here. As you say it's a matter of talent, absolute confidence and most importantly hours of drilling on training to get the timing right (and some luck). I hope I'm not overanalyzing things here as I'm far from a expert on keeping techniques (or football for that matter )

When I rewatched the save of the 1v1 I noticed he seems to get low to the ground so quickly, and I mean this in a good way Just watch Scznenzyzne-thingy against Naismith yesterday When he gets in the 1v1, he does as almost every keeper does, and opens his arms and legs as far as possible trying to cover as much of the goal as he can. But in doing so he leaves a gap the size of the Grand Canyon between his legs which Naismith doesn't hesitate to make use of. Now watch Courtois Obviously, Nugent doesn't go for the shot between the legs, but watch Courtois' left leg. Before he sticks it out and saves the goal, he swings it past the inside of his right leg, effectively negating the space between his legs. It seems such a simple thing, but it is a vital difference.

Sorry but when I tried to directly quote your post I couldn't separate your two quotes. After some fooling around I ended up with this. Still, the fact that you quoted these two posts without any further explanation gives the impression that you agree with them, so they might as well be yours, or am I wrong?

Are you thinking wat i'm thinking...

Seems like a pretty cu*tish move Why would you expect loyalty from someone a) who up until now never played for us, b whom we've told for the past three years "We don't really need you right now" c) continued to forge a reputation for himself as a world class keeper d) probably hasn't cost us anything
-
Really should be sleeping... 1st goal 2nd goal 3rd goal
-
I mean being an absolute beast of a defender
-
-
I would probably do like Cahill
-
You mean... He can't... Not even once?
-
Talking about space for that second goal... there are 3 Burnleys around Costa and 4 around Hazard, which left 3 to cover our other 8!
-
Seems like he just about shaved that Burnley defender's nuts off
-
And now we finally have the players to exploit it, just watch the second goal
-
Remember when we lost to Bremen and Manure won from Real Madrid? LOL
-
LOL at that defender who gets pushed back and then stands there like "What the f***"

2 matches spring to mind... http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2252r7_all-didier-drogba-goals-vs-arsenal-hd_sport
