Don't overhype mourinho, he isn't perfect. You really think that was how he wanted it? With zero chances created after our goal and them having three or so goal scoring chances. Of course he is gonna make mistakes. With mazacar he even fielded our (potentially) strongest attacking trio, so how is that consistent with hiding our gameplans.

Is it just me or has it been a really crazy transfer window in general with all the rooney/bale/mata/suarez/fabregas/ronaldo/benteke/willian/luiz transfer soaps? And apart from bale apparently very lttle has come from all these rumours (so far).

At 25 years of age he has had 2 caps/appearances for the senior Brazil team. Oscar, three years younger, has 22. That should tell you something about his worth to us.

Keep it real. De Gea was somewhat error prone due to problems with high balls, but he seems to have improved on that part. And his shot stopping has always been sublime. Him and Cech are indeed very close

If this is true , I really don't like it. 7 players (ranging from very good to world class) for three positions is just not possible. The only way to make this work is offload one of them. Moses seems most logical, but that would solve little since he is already way down on the pecking order and would hardly start anyway. So it would mean selling/loaning out KDB, Mata, or Schurrle (oscar and hazard seem untouchable), all who where made promises of playing time or not being sold. This could seriously unbalance the dressing room imo. And for what? Just so that Roman can prove to Levy he has the bigger ****? At 30 milllion? While there are other places in the team that need some serious strengthening? Don't like it

Since Lukaku is our best attacking option, maybe we should use him at his best, i.e. right now as an impact sub. If we start him, perhaps he will struggle and then we have no back-up option. So for me Torres (shudder) to start

Wasn't Rooney gonna be sidelined for this one due to some 'injury'? I'm curious how the team will after yesterday. Maybe they had become somewhat arrogant after the first game and needed a wake up call. Still worrying how many key players already/still look out of shape (Lamps, Luiz, Mata)

I'm having difficulties with these 'under x or y we would have lost, but thanks to jose...' We dominated possession (like we would have last year), but created nil danger. In the end it was two Cech saves and some luck with the ref that won us the game, not Mourinho. But as you said, in a 38-game season there are always gonna be games like this, and winning them is vital.

Cech MOTM for me - 2 saves that made the difference. Lukaku good at what we knew he would be best at - coming on as a sub. Not sure he is starter's material, but we don't have anyone else tragically.
