He was n1 for most part of the season. He had to fight for his place and he won comfortably. His goals per minutes ratio was one of the best in the PL.

I disagree. Benteke is much younger and hes much more skilled and more complete than Jelavic etc. He was a huge talent and spearheaded Belgium's youth NT's along with ... Eden Hazard. It took him longer as expected to break through but I dont think hes comparable to Jelavic, Ba etc

I can remember him scoring 30+ goals for Ajax year in year out and they didnt win squat. Then he leaves and Ajax wins 3 championships. He is a great player yet he disrupts the flow of a team, he doesnt really fit in a team's game. I definitly think he would do more damage than good in Mourinho's tactics.
