If he can perform like a superstar for 3 seasons, and then starts to struggle with even going past one defender... You probably have 2 options: he cannot play soccer anymore he's struggling with something The easiest solution for the masses is to say he sucks and he can fuck off... Like a lot of Football Einsteins on here are claiming here on the forum. Bravo for that, you clearly are masters of wisdom!! Others (that at least had some education) start doubting his attitude and his mental strength OR the willingness to fight for the team. I can follow this last group. Maybe indeed it's the fact that Eden is not strong enough mentally or is a spoiled brat. BUT why was he good enough to be fight for the club the last three seasons... but not anymore? Maybe he's just injured, but not given rest... simple as that! Maybe he has issues with Hiddink, the board, club Doctor... Maybe the whole Mourinho or Carneiro Saga is not so easily forgotten by the players as everyone thinks. Maybe he's angry with the club for whatever good personal reason Maybe he's just going down with the bad form of the team... => which probably makes most sense!
-
Although he's underperforming (like the rest of the team by the way), it still absolutely baffles me how easily players are going from Hero to Zero in football these days. Last year: "the star of the team, loved by all and the 'so long waited for' talented superstar Chelsea was blessed to have... bringing in the EPL Title!!This year: "we don't like him anymore... throw him away". As if it was a toy doll or a used matchbox car!! It's probably just me... but I feel like football fans have absolutely no respect/patience anymore for the humans (that's right, there not toy robots) they are watching every week! Also no one seems to think (not even a split second): "maybe the problem is not 100% Eden himself.. but also some internal struggles in the club/board/staff/private life/injuries/ or whatsoever...." Just throw him out Cobham... Booh him away on the bridge. Say goodbye to one of the best football players on this planet and just give him a kick in the back when he's leaving! 3 years of hard work, highlights, trophies, emotions, being the guy he lighted up the bridge with almost every single touch, etc... all forgotten in a few months! Bravo Chelsea Fans!

I absolutely agree on the fact that in a year like this... hopes are set high for the star players to drag us out of this misery! Eden should be one of them! I can also understand that people are really disappointed in the fact this isn't really happening! Football is all about emotions... I can respect that. But behind these emotions... people should always guard their common sense and put things in perspective! I think the only fair conclusion is that Eden is not ready yet to carry a whole team on his shoulders when things are really going bad! Now people can be disappointed about this. But maybe it was just a little bit too much to expect from a guy of his age (just turned 25!). Maybe we all just don't have a *** clue on what's going on behind those doors of the club! So to shout out we have lost all confidence in him... and wanting him to leave the club is just an awfully emotional reaction! I'm very sure that if this would happen... a lot of us will be kicking our heads when he 'miraculously' starts playing like a true star again in another team! And yes of course this will happen if he leaves!!

I did myself a favor and haven't opened this thread in a month or 2-3... But I just can't believe what I'm reading here. It seems like everyone just lives on short terms! The amount of people on here that would love to sell him is astonishing! A gentle reminder to all that our whole team really sucked so far!!! Forgetting about the immense amount of talent Hazard has, simply because one off-season is really a dumb thing to do. All the guys shouting out it's time to sell him... I hope you do realize that if you put Eden in Barcelona, Madrid or Bayern... He will finally play the game his made for and will surely become a serious Ballon D'or contender! But sure... why not... We don't need him here at Chelsea! We can have tons of other Attacking wingers on your wish list for Roman to pay for!! #whathappenedtoloyaltythesedays?!!!!! #thingslikethisreallymakesmewanttostopreadingforums

What about Cuadrado? IMO also didn't get a proper chance by The Bridge!

Really happy Charly could finally show his talent on senior level! Creds also to the Betis Manager for dropping him in for the whole 90mins in his first game! The video showed he was really hungry to show the world what he's capable off. Some really great dribbles, 2 yellow cards for his direct opponent and a lot of freekicks won in dangerous areas! BUT also shows Charly is only 19 and is still has a lot to learn. Bad choices of few times, overdribbled himself and poor decision taking a shot from long range when he could have passed it to the side. This only shows why he's out on loan => to learn and to gain experience! Even with this mistakes... the Betis crowd still loved him, praised him and will push him forward in his progression! Imagine he would play at the bridge in the same way. Some would say he played really well... others would think he brings nothing to the team and loses the ball far too often. It's not unthinkable he might even got booed at times if this happened at the Bridge! So I think it's a really good thing he's out on loan, where he can slowly progress to a real star player instead of a kidstar!! Only thing we should ask ourselves... why didn't this happen last season
-
So you say: "A world class midfielder like KDB, who's smashing opposition in his first real PL season, is not what we need..." Sure! I get your point...
-
Sturridge to Liverpool Mata to Man United Lampard to Man City Cech to Arsenal De Bruyne to Man City Mourinho to Man United(?!!!) I don't know what we did... but boy we surely got our part of mental beating the last few years!! What's next? Terry to Tottenham Drogba to Arsenal I don't know who's jinxing us... but I suggest he can stop now. Thank you

This guy took like one trillion (very hard) tackles in the past three years in a Chelsea shirt and ALWAYS got up again. On top of that he never ever complained about one single of these tackles with the Ref or the opposing player! That alone makes him a one of kind player that simply needs to be respected for that! The guys that are complaining about his ego/mental weakness/'he's faking his injury' have really reached rock bottom for me! I don't say Hazard is immune for criticism, not at all!! But as it comes to the injury topic... you guys are really making a fool out of yourself and you might as well just sh*t up!
-
Clearly it's in the mind of the players... They really play like my local U11 team!!! Something has to happen because we just need a mental turn. Probably a sack of Jose will be the answer... But it might also just as well work with a change of kit colour! That's how low we have sunk...!! These boys need to get a grip and start playing football again!! ps: maybe we should also stop putting Courtois in goal when practicing standard situation (FK's and corner kicks!!). Clearly he must be taking them all out of the air in training... Leaving none of players something to practice for!!!!
-
Yes! And he's been doing this since he was 11 years old (although the first 3 years it was a green boot). Sorry to dissapoint you Magic ps: the clip lasts longer than 35 seconds.

These guys used to wear the right Blue!!! Soooo frustrating

Eden Hazard: "This is my story". Great watch!

Agreeing or not agreeing... shouldn't we be talking about Hazard, Fabregas, Pedro & Costa instead of Neymar, Ronaldo & Messi?? Who cares if Neymar is 1% or 10% 'better' than Hazard... How do you measure these things by the way? Neymar plays for Barcelona, Messi plays for Barcelona and Ronaldo plays for Real Madrid. But all of the above players are playing for OUR team! Sometimes I feel like in the Roman empire... everybody acts a little spoilt. Feeling we could go and buy players if we want to. We already have a billon $$ squad! And although underperforming at the moment... we have A LOT of quality and technique to enjoy in a Blue shirt!! ps: I was in Barcelona two weeks ago when Barca played Eibar. They won 3-1 and Neymar played a huge rol in the victory. His style is VERY familiar to the one of Hazard if you see him live. Amazing controls, quick anticipation and great acceleration! But you know how many times he did go to ground against this small team as eibar? Maybe 8-10 times... They say it's his style of playing... But is sooooo annoying. You just feel pity for him sometimes... The amazing player he is, he should really stop falling all the time and faking those dives.

When a team is performing badly... people (fans) are becoming weird creatures! Isn't this the same team that gave you one of the best pre summers ever last year => winning the EPL! And even before that the CL & EL!! Doesn't that suppose to mean that this team build up some credit? And especially Hazard since he more or less was the key factor for our title celebrations last year! FFS people! If you cannot give credit to players... And also get behind them when things aren't going so well... You're nothing more than a simple fair weather fan! Maybe you can subscribe to bluemoon forum or Gunners forum => top of the league! OR stay here and support OUR team through thick and thin! KTBFFH!!!!

I'm very happy that we have people on this forum that know everything. Thx for your update and insights Pacquiao! ps: what will you do if Romelu plays for a european top team in a few years, becoming a world class striker? I vote for running the London Marathon in a Chicken Costume! Who's in for a bet?
-
Sure thing Zolayes! I have no reason to leave because I like it here :blue scalf:. Cheers mate!

Hi Yeboli, he's not a family member... and I wouldn't say he's a good friend of mine. But I met him several times at Anderlecht and also had quite a few conversations with him, teammates and people around him. The father of my best friend was the Head of Medical Staff at Anderlecht when Romelu walked into the first team. So my opinion is not based on television & newspapers... but on real life talks and opinions with Romelu himself and with people very close to him. If I can tell you one thing... Media reports are often real bullshit! In the whole 'Lukaku has no ambition and doesn't want to fight for his spot' case... I can really tell you this was just one big media joke! Same thing with his 'reputation' as the one who speaks to the press about everything. I will defend him as long as I am a member on this forum... because this is really just not true and totally not fair to Romelu!
-
You REALLY should use better sources Pacquiao. The whole mentality problem was simply created by tabloids. If you would really know & follow him... you would see he is extremely mature for a football player AND a 22 year old!! He's 100% professional and just wants to play, work hard and score goals. Do you also realize he scored 46(!!!) goals in 4 premier league seasons... at the age of 22(!). He's even in the TOP 100 all time EPL goal scorers. You're just making a fool of yourself when laughing at his career! If he would have stayed at Chelsea... that would be maybe 10 goals in 20% of the appearances he had now! I also might tell you something you didn't know about Lukaku and CL. Did you know he scored 7 goals in 13 apps at the age of 16-17?
-
Pacquiao, give us a break... It seems like you didn't watched the game at all. Here you go: http://www.fullmatchesandshows.com/2015/09/19/manchester-city-vs-west-ham-united-highlights-full-match/#3

I think it's better to stop this 'YES vs NO' discussion. This is going nowhere! KDB is not a part of Chelsea anymore... end of story. It's no use in trying to make all the 'what if...' stories. We have to continue with the guys in our squad! On the other hand people that are saying he's a bad player... clearly need to start watching games instead of just following forum topics. I could understand your satellite was not picking up german broadcasting... but you should be able to watch EPL. See you all in another topic!
-
Let me tell you this... Imagine a striker who simply sits down the oppositions 16yard box the whole game (literally sitting down)! Maybe he has a deck of cards to play solitaire, maybe not. He's been called of side 14 times... You could say his contribution to the team is really bad! In the 84th minute he decides to finally get up. On a counter attack he was in position in the 16 yard box and scores the 0-1. => this guy would become the game winner for many fans! But in fact a part from scoring that goal, he did nothing at all. Do you understand what I want to say? Hazard was the 'game winner' but in fact played a very bad game considering his abilities. ps: I'm sure still 40% here will read Hazard was sitting in the grass playing Solitaire in Cyprus! Please don't bother answering

Sure, best defense in the EPLeague. But if you compare the stats... the Atletico defense in '12-'13 & '13-'14 was even better than our best in the league defense last season! And the Belgian NT defense is even better! Simple facts... no gut feeling.
-
I'm afraid you're right. It's astonishing to see the stats of Tibo: Madrid vs. Chelsea vs. NT 12-13 (Atletico): 28 goals in 38 games => average of 0,73 goals/game + 20 clean sheets!! 13-14 (Atletico): 26 goals in 38 games => average of 0,68 goals/game + 20 clean sheets!! 14-15 (Chelsea): 30 goals in 32 games => average of 0,94 goals/game + 12 clean sheets 15-16 (Chelsea): 06 goals in 03 games => average of 2.00 goals/game + 0 clean sheets What a difference in stats. It doesn't look that much of a difference (0,73 compared to 0,94) but it sure is A LOT! At the Belgian National team his stats are even more confronting! 11-15 (Belgium NT): 10 goals in 21 games => average of 0,47 goals/game + 11 clean sheets!! * => defense in front of him normally: Alderweireld, Kompany, Lombaerts or Vermaelen or Van Buyten, Vertonghen => we REALLY need to do something about our defense because we have a massive problem here!!!! * only games that matters, no friendlies (WC qualification, WC games & EC qualification)
