Mourinho is a top coach but he's made a massive fuck up selling Mata to United of all clubs. If your gonna sell him, do it to PSG, Atletico or someone who isn't a domestic rival.. I don't rate Sturridge but this is like the Sturridge situation but with a genuine world class player. Mourinho has completely written United off this season as title contenders and for the next however many years surely if Mata goes there. Sure we've done some stupid shit in the transfer market (Signing Torres for 50m, Sheva for 30m when he wasn't wanted, Benayoun, Marin, selling Robben etc) in the last however many years but this tops it all I feel. Imagine if Benitez had done this, then everyone would be fucking angry but since its Mourinho its ok..... and before anyone posts saying 'Mata isn't Chelsea FC' or 'Mata isn't bigger than Chelsea'.. I know that but neither is Mourinho. Also anyone saying Mata wanted this move too must be brain dead or something, hes blatantly been frozen out and has to move to guarantee himself regular games. We could win the league this year still yeah I will obviously be happy but you also have to consider we have genuinely 'gifted' United a world class player for 40m.. who is better than all their attacking midfielders/wingers... Its stupid because he can't even lace Mata's boots. Mata isn't the profile Mourinho wants but hes still better than every other player we have except for Hazard possibly, we are selling Mata so we should replace him with someone just as good so we would still have a very good squad. Salah is good but hes hardly a touch on Mata.

Hes pretty good, also good goal scoring ability for a wide player and can play both sides very well but selling Mata and replacing him with this guy is stupid beyond belief.

Mata is better at it and Luiz has hardly been playing well in CM either, he was all over the place vs United, did you even watch the game?

Unable to adjust as he's been stuck out in a position which he clearly doesn't suit. Its like saying why does Luiz play so poor in central MF, because hes not a central MF player. Mata is not a right winger, he played on the left at Valencia and for us until Robbie came in then as a 10 until this season. Its very obvious hes a better #10 than a winger. Plus if we sell Mata we have to strengthen in those 3 players. We have gone from a very good squad with lots of substitute options to play in the three (Mata, de Bruyne, Schurrle), to a good squad with only Schurrle as back up to the three.

I'd rather sell Oscar to United than Mata. Mourinho is one lucky son of a bitch he has a very good past here or he'd be getting all sorts of abuse like Benitez would have gotten if he'd let this happens.

Think he was ok at times but never looked completely comfortable, think he was told to get stuck in hard on Januzaj to try and make him shy from getting the ball but he never really did no matter how many times Branna knocked him over/kicked him. Made some vital back post headers from crosses coming in from our left side though and in possession was alright but still think Azpi is a better option if we are going to be controlling matches as he offers more in possession than Branna does.

Would prefer to get this guy on a cheapish deal as opposed to spunking over 20m on Shaw tbh, with FFP and all that stuff coming in we need to be shrewd when we can in the market. Both are very good prospects, right now I think Rodriguez is a better player due to having played more games but in all honesty I've seen him play maybe 5 or 6 times so maybe I'm wrong. Decent movements off the ball, was a focal point for us at times holding the ball up, effective when we pressed too, scored today .... was quite bad but he did some things well, ultimately he put the ball in the net which is what strikers are judged on.
