These getting a clean sheet against anyone is unrealistic. Never mind PSG with that attack.
-
Garnacho leaking the team news seems to be doing the rounds again? Would you be surprised? 😂 That CB pairing is very very bold. Reckon it could be 5-2 again tonight.
-
I kind of wish they’d of given us an actual transfer ban. Genuinely I am sick of those 2 fucking clowns wasting money on u21 players in positions we don’t need reinforcements for, when we’ve clearly need top players ready to go for seasons now. Would rather we couldn’t spend than we could given their track record 🤣
-
You mean has destroyed 😂 If anyone thinks there is a way back to the top with these then they have got no clue. It’s been a downward spiral ever since the Tuchel sacking, I said it then they didn’t have a clue. Then the whole Christian Vivell, Paul Winstanley & Lawrence Stewart appointments. Don’t get me started on recruitment either. Its been car crash after car crash.
-
He was BlueCo’s “franchise signing” too says it all if he wants out after 3 & a half seasons 😂 Shambles
-
Well well well, who’d of fucking thought. Gary O’Neill in next? These will never learn. If the huddle is mind games it isn’t exactly working is it, its ridiculous. Leave that to Celtic FC. And if it’s for bonding, even worse. If any of these players had anything about them, they’d be laughing at the suggestion of doing one. Imagine Drogba, Lampard, Cech, Cole etc being told to do a huddle every game by the David Brent of managers. There is never a world in which Hansi Flick would come here. Regardless of if he was working or not. Its all going to be average/Strasbourg managers they can control.
-
Should never have started in the beginning. Just made himself & the players look like absolute wallopers. “To respect the ball” or whatever pish it was he came out with - you couldn’t write it. Only one team who can get away with doing the huddle and that is a team that has been doing it for as long as I can remember, Celtic FC. Rosenoir will have us doing the Haka next.
-
Estimated 2 months so his season is finished. Great. Worried what the score will be tonight, could be 6-0 or 5-3. Never know with these charlatans.
-
Typical. Unfortunate but means we wont see him in MF for a bit now. Least they got his wages reduced in time….
-
Usually when quotes like “ready for the next leap in his career” it means the players camp are likely looking for a move/options. Embarrassing that we have become a club where players will now look to make their next steps elsewhere. We used to be a club where players would leave respectable sized clubs to come and level up for the next stage or their careers, to win trophies & compete for big titles so to speak. Fernandez wants to go then let him. I dont think hes been a huge success here, past 18 months he has got a lot more goals and assists playing as a number 10 but he was this apparent all round mutli skilled midfielder who would transform us. It hasn’t really panned out like that. Means Cole maybe goes back to playing centrally too.
-
Arrogant isn’t the word I would use. When it comes to Americans & football, stupid maybe is a better word. They just don’t get it. Obviously all Americans are not stupid before someone tries putting words in my mouth!!!!
-
Tbf he could’ve told them to shove it. And if he had, there wouldn’t have been any complaints either. If there are big summer departures depending on where we finish - I think there could be ie Cucurella, Fernandez & Palmer possibly - then it would of been interesting had he not resigned. Giving him a lower wage is shocking behaviour though. He has played a lot of minutes the past 2 seasons.
-
The worrying thing is that if those quotes are real - which I believe they are as it screams of everything this ownership group seem to think. Any coach daft enough to speak to them about the job could just turn around & say well you don’t believe a coach has a big impact on the team so why would I take the job? That guy coming out with such nonsense to a fan group has effectively belittled Rosenoir’s role even more also. And it was already an appointment that had raised a huge amount of questions & reeked of cronyism. Like most things at this club & Strasbourg under BlueCo. As usual, everything at this club, always more questions than answers.
-
Have got the feeling Palmer, Cucurella & Fernandez are going to leave in the summer. It looks like the Barco deal is happening for definite so would say that, plus the fact Cucu’s deal runs out in 2028 IIRC, would indicate he’ll be free to leave in the summer. Fernandez not arsed about because for the £106m he cost, he hasn’t repaid anywhere near that at all. Good amount of goals & assists the past 18 months but still gets run over the top of far too much when he plays deeper & offers little physically and off the ball. Will get what we paid for though if we do sell. Palmer looks disinterested. Maybe just been a tough year for him but something is off. Would be a big big summer if they did, would maybe be the shakeup these idiots running the club need though. But they’ll break even on Enzo & make a profit on Cole so maybe they won’t care.
-
Cesc would risk ruining a promising start to his managerial career coming to this shitshow. No doubt, he will have options & go somewhere that isn’t a complete circus. I’d be baffled if any half decent manager/coach sees us as first choice.
-
I dont get Maresca and now Rosenoir religiously using James in MF. Is this a club driven thing? Do the decision makers see him as a MF? Says a lot when Rosenoir says James is the best RB in the world after he signs a new deal, yet plays him as a central midfielder the following game….
-
Out of his depth. Just like Maresca, all style no substance. No long term progression if we are stuck with him.
-
They should’ve probably had a penalty too. So could’ve been worse. Rosenoir is not the man for me. Get to end of the season and send him packing.
-
It rarely does yet Rosenoir is going to do it regardless because he’s no different to Maresca, stubborn. No doubt the higher ups probably think Reece can be a MFer too. It wasn’t effective vs Paris. Worlds best RB arguably and he is playing in the middle of the park looking lost.
-
Him getting a lower wage is just a signs of things that have been going on for a long time. Fair play to him for signing. As a senior player & captain, hopefully he was asking questions of the higher ups ie. who are we bringing in this summer & whats the goals short & long term.
-
There will be no adapting his style. Its already a more risky way of building than under Maresca, he wants the GK to break the line when he can. So Jorgensen will likely be used more prominently. It did work a few times vs Paris but you need to quit when you’re ahead or go long at times to manage the game. Newcastle will press us high more than likely after that. And no doubt we will continue with that shite passing out nonsense.
-
Fake? Everything mentioned just screams BlueCo. The responses from this said director gives of all of the following: arrogance, stupidity & naivety. Everything which has 100% transpired under the current ownership. It couldn’t be any more truer. These owners are a cancer. Have been saying it for seasons. They don’t get football & they certainly don’t get the club or its fans. Dismissing the past achievements of the previous that put the club on the map as a European superpower when all they’ve managed to do is win a diddy Conference League (which shouldn’t exist) with a £2.5bn squad & glorified pre season friendly edition of the CWC is completely retarded. I suppose thats another thing that you can say is absolutely rife at board level based on the decision making of the last 4 years. Only going to happen if these owners & sporting directors leave unfortunately. There is no way we get back to the top with these.
-
Tbf Neto shouldn’t push him. I get the frustration but ballboys always give the home side the advantage. Its not quite as bad as that gimpy 15 year old ball boy at Swansea with Hazard right enough. Rolling about like he’d been shot but again, was wrong to try engage. For a more experienced player, daft. Sums up the squads mentality and discipline though. Rather than get angry with each other lash out at ball boys…. yet theres no discipline issue apparently 🙄😂
-
Fully agree with the narrative there. Fernandez pointing to the CWC badge after scoring against a team that won 4 or 5 trophies last season, including the Champions League, sums up everything that is wrong with this squads mentality. Makes them look like absolute morons. But this isn’t the first time he’s made a royal cunt of himself (Argentina bus & post cup final v Liverpool where he shat the bed against 2 young kids in MF). Not to mention that the CWC became a glorified pre season friendly last summer. Plus the whole Conference League aftermath was another eye opener. We had a £2.5bn squad…. with about 30 players… playing against Armenian farmers most games….. yet Boehly & co went on about wanting to win the CL the next year 😂 They definitely aren’t running it as a sporting enterprise as you’ve said. Even for financially “smart” people, still no long term front of shirt sponsor… 3rd season now. Huge fees spent on players that haven’t or won’t live up to the billing so will likely result in losses when they move them on. Running out of PSR loopholes. Huge tax losses. Its been run very ineffectively after initially reducing wages, average age of squad etc. This they believe they are seeing results narrative is also the most arrogant and delusional thing I have ever seen at this club. They are thick as fuck if they think they can pull the wall over the fans eyes.
-
He only cost £12m, the BlueCo bean counters wont give a fuck where he goes as long as he goes for a tidy profit. Selling him before Lavia is a mistake though. He has shown he can be relied upon, his fitness isn’t an issue plus Rosenoir was meant to be the one to kickstart his career here no? But yes if we sell him to United, it will continue to show the downward trajectory of the club. Cheaping out on a key position. Again. Will they ever learn? I’m sure that was nearly the same briefing for Tosin before we got him. I’m sure the data look good though 🤨🙄 Oshimen deal is never happening. We had the opportunity 2 years running, at smaller fees than he would cost now. Again, wage structure or not, we wouldn’t stump up the fee for him then now that he's older, pricier… yeah not happening. Can’t wait to watch Delap shank shots into the advertising hoarding for another 8 seasons.
