Yeah, I found it hilarious when I first read it. I didn't at all think that the story here is "Should we sell Thibaut for 70m?" but instead thought "LMAO Jose, you legend!"
-
LMAO Of course you sell a keeper for 70m even if he was a mixture of prime Kahn and Buffon fused together! There is a reason why keepers are always relatively inexpensive and that is because the difference between a world class keeper and a very good keeper is probably around 4-5 goals per season, and there are usually A LOT of very good keepers around. With 70m you can get players that make up that difference many times over. Anyway, this all besides the point because neither Madrid nor any other team would pay 70m for Thibaut or any other keeper.

Another thing I'm worried about though, and I have yet to read any news about it, is whether or not Christophe Lollichon will leave with Petr. I really hope he stays, he's one of the best goalkeeping coaches in the world.
-
I that is because, with his unique style of defensing, Jose and the management think he's a better defender on the left than he is on the right, which is kind of true, imo.
-
Disagree, Petr was a HUGE help for Thibaut this season always giving him advice and tips about teams and small things that make a difference. We might miss that experience next season, but then again Thibaut must gain his own experience.
-
Tbh, I think that ship has already sailed, mate.
-
Jose playing him out of position in the number 10 in big games also played a huge part. I think he did considerably better in the big games where he played deeper with both Rami and Matic. I genuinely hope that THAT is what we will go with in big games next season instead of Cesc in an advanced role where he clearly doesn't have the pace to cope with our pressing and has less time on the ball to do what he does best.
-
Had a feeling he would stay in England, though I was hoping it would be utd not Arsenal. Can't blame big Pete, he's still world-class, I'd have done the exact same if I were him.
-
I haven't been following this closely, can a team in the Ligue 1 loan two players from the same club?
-
It's not that he 'deserves' to be sold, as if being a fringe player at Chelsea is only slightly better than starving to death in Somalia; I mean everyone on here has almost certainly considerably worse fates to their lives than Luis if he sits another year on the bench. He should be sold because his market value is only going to drop exponentially if he spends another year on the sidelines, especially given his age. We should sell him because we'd lose a lot of money if we don't.
-
More importantly, how in the world have you managed to write in that font on here? I feel it gives you an unfair advantage over everyone else sine your opinions look a lot more classy and convincing
-
Pretty much spot on. I hope Ruben truly understands that.
-
Yeah, you're right, it was 11 million Euros without the addons.
-
I'll just leave this here: Juve's current central midfield options of Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Marchisio and Khedira cost a total of 8 million Euros...THAT's what I call bloody good business!

Sorry @supporter, you're a brilliant contributor and already one of the best members around here, but I had to go with Daffy because we have plans together to take down the global power and economic system and install a new world order Very hard one for best football knowledge but went with @Peace. for sheer quality despite lack of activity. On a side note, I think @hjperdeath, deserves to be on that list as well. Finally, @Muzchap for best general knowledge, mostly because @ is an idiot and I'm not going to be that c*nt who votes for himself Kidding, of course, I love reading and debating your non-Chelsea related posts.

No, we're saying (at least I am) that the motives behind the sudden clamping down on FIFA corruption even though it has been known for decades are far from benevolent and that it is naive to expect everything to become good just like that, especially when the people currently claiming to be fighting corruption are themselves very corrupt. Whether or not Blatter leaving is a good thing depends entirely on who is his successor and in which way FIFA proceeds after him.

You do realize there is no "un" before funniest, right?! -
You think we won't make top 4? In what scenario would we not make top 4? I think even in unrealistic scenarios such as lose Hazard and not sign any replacement and still make top 4 comfortably.
