If I'm not mistaken that's actually an old photo that some sites wrongly reporting as related to the recent refugees to Europe crisis. Much more likely that is a somewhat old banner aimed at the African asylum seekers in Israel. That said, the irony and lack of self awareness of Israelis not wanting migrants and refugees are just staggering considering that the majority of Israelis themselves are at most second or third generation migrants and refugees. But let's not turn this into a politics thread... What fault has the kitten committed in all of this?!!

Wait, I don't follow Australian politics too much, but Abbott was from the Liberal party? Seriously?! I really don't want to see you what your conservative party is like....

It's not really a 'thing'. I've never heard someone going to Mecca saying I hope I die there. Granted that is the case with Shia pilgrimages but not to Mecca but to certain places in Iraq and Syria. That said a lot of people are now saying since it has happened that its an honor that they died in a 'holy' place. Dunno, religious people are weird to me...
-
Yeah, maybe. Dunno. I'm not an expert on Islam by any stretch of imagination but I imagine that most of those people would rather still be alive, tbh... Over a hundred people are dead and you're taking the opportunity to 'score points' about whose god is stronger. It's pathetic and evident of your incredibly narrow 'us vs them' world view. Stop it.

Every time I read that I feel like punching a wall. It's one of those myths that pundits say to make themselves look knowledgeable and everyone else just repeats. His best performances came between 2010 and 2013. The man almost single-handedly won us the CL and FA cup in 2012 and then he went on to have what, for me, was hist best ever season in 2012-13. The amount of times he made a crucial save at 0-0 or late one with a single goal lead was just ridiculous. He was, for me, the best keeper in the world in those two seasons.

Thanks. That makes me feel so much better!

You might want to get out of that glass house before throwing those rocks, Mr. Fundamentalist Christian: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_the_Company_Fire And it's probably a good idea if you stop throwing around your bile and hatred randomly at people. Thanks.

Sterling is English though. If he were Brazilian, I really doubt City would give him another look. And anyway it's still way too early to judge his move to City. You can't call him a "permanent starter" four games into the season. How is it "easy to say he will not get into big clubs" and not easy to make claims that he would? You're saying that he might in the future become a player that top teams would be interested in which is fair enough as anything can happen in football and he has showed glimpses of a top player, but I'm saying that from what we've seen from him so far he's not a player that top 4 English teams or top European would be interested in. PS: I've only seen Douglas Costa on a few occasions so I cannot and did not judge him.
-
Which bigger club? He's not making it into the XI of any of the top 4 teams in the EPL and surely you don't mean a club the likes of Madrid, Barca and Bayern. PSG maybe? So I'm curious, what bigger club XI do you imagine he'd walk into?

I imagine that Begovic was to (god forbid) pick up an injury we would no doubt appeal for an emergency loan. Can't imagine Jose being happy with Blackman staring several games for us.
-
This REALLY isn't our season, is it? Can't we just load a save from May or something...
-
Yes, that would be very difficult unless you know someone who has a time machine...
-
Yeah, I remember. The bloody media jinxed us. They all were running stories about before the match how the first female manager was going to win the league and how much of a surprise it was that the team had done so well under her and then we went and lost when a draw would have been enough to clinch the title, IIRC.
-
Didn't watch it, but the name of the video composer kinda gives away the answer to the question in the video title, don't you think?
-
You hate knees? Like knees in general not just knee-injuries? That's pretty radical... So, if your girlfriend is wearing a dress and she sits down and her knees show do you shout at her "Get those hideous things out of my face!"? Do you make her wear knee pads during sex?!
-
Did we lose it in the final day last season as well? Would be beyond cruel if that were to happen again. That said, I think a win and a draw would suffice as we have a superior GD to City.
-
Vision. Passing and general linkup play. Defensive work. Neymar is far superior in finishing, off the ball runs and slightly in technique.
-
If Coutinho was a Chelsea player, he'd be on his hundredth loan somewhere around Europe.

Great. So not only are we going to die it's not going to be quick either? We have to die a slow painful death as well! Thanks a lot, Kevin..
-
LOL We're not keeping a clean sheet. We're just NOT. So best hope we manage to score a couple. I expect this be a high-scoring match like last season. Not 6-3 of course because that was mental but something like 3-2 or something.
-
Mostly DM. Tbf Stoke were bad in the matches I watched, except against Spuds but only after Marco had come off. They got a draw against Spurs and lost the other two against Liverpool and WBA.
-
Van Ginkel has been invisible for Stoke so far. I watched his first three matches there and rarely have I seen a player, at any level really, so uninfluencial and uninvolved for his team. He hasn't been terrible or done any huge mistakes in particular, but he's just been completely invisible.
