I'd rather have a relatively easy fixture to start with like Wigan t home and keep the Man cities till after October so that our squad would have build up momentum and some chemistry, especially if we have several new players in our starting XI.

I've watched several of his matches with Genk, believe me he is no wide man. His natural role is in the center, he looked out of his depth on the wings. He has excellent defensive skills which would make him perfect for the double pivot role along side a more defensive midfielder (Mikel/Romeu), but that's just what I thought watching him.

No one is guaranteed a starting place when they move to a tea no matter how big a name they are (Torres, Sheva....) They move because they believe they have the ability to fight for that starting XI place. If Debuchy is too good to sit on the bench then he should have no problem bumping Ive to the sidelines.

Because his knee is problems is not something that got cured. He retired because he thought that he can never play without knee pains. Even till now he still can't train more than four days in a row. The club is taking his rehabilitation step by step, and rightly so.

Assume Iva gets a lengthy injury, what happens then? Hutch can't play two times a week. It's not that he might get injured it's that he can never fully recover from the injury he had.

But strikers' movement has changed massively in the last 20 years which is why everyone stopped using a sweeper in the first place. With no offside line, we're bound to give away at least a couple of breakaways in each match. It's too dangerous imo.

Because no one has played with a sweeper snince the early 90s. It only works when the oposition does not have a midfield and just lumps balls froward from the defense .

I have much criticism for Danny, but one thing he does perfectly is seize his chances. I hope he does so next season. I believe in him, he can take that lone striker position.
