I agree with everything in there but my point was about their matches and the fact that they were second best in many of their matches including the one against us and even against teams like Reading and Southampton. The league table shows undoubtedly that they are the best team in England in terms of result, but in terms of ability and performance they certainly are not.

Exactly what I said above: He seems likely to want to come here atm unlike Moyes, Low, Klopp and the others. His wages are low relative to Hiddink, Mourinho ..etc. He is a good manager; most of his teams play well and over achieve. His teams are always very organized with close lines. He speaks English which will definitely help. And his style play is much more achievable than Klopp, Pep and even Jose. If I could chose any manager in the world, would he be my choice? Of course not! But he is reasonable choice considering our lack of options atm.

I don't get what exactly the point is behind this post. Is there a specific valid point you would like to raise in this argument? If so, then please explain it so we can discuss it properly.

Iva is probably our best "defender" (although Luiz can be world-class if he keeps his concentration for 90 mins) but what Terry offers other than defending is still enough to earn him a starting place, imo. In addition to the leadership and organizing skills that we seem to always suffer without, people underestimate the importance of Terry's distribution skills from the back which we have been missing the most during his absence, imo.

By reasonable I meant that he would be a low-risk option because firstly his wages would be relatively low. Secondly, his teams are always organized and his style of play seems achievable here. He's done well with teams he coached that often over-achieve when he's around. His time at Madrid was corrupted by the club's politics.

I think we will need to sign a squad player for this are in the summer for rotation purposes but I would much rather have a traditional winger over Isco to give us a more direct option.

Completely agree that we should buy all the young talents that we can, but that should not cover for the lack of results in our academy. We should not expect every player to make, but we shouldn't also expect none of them to make it.
