Wasn't talking about this one in particular (as I did not check), but it does seem to be a new trend on Twitter to add (Telegraph) or (SSN) to completely made up rumors and they tend to spread fast.

Tbf, he's improved a lot in that department since the turn of the year. And Lukaku is hardly any better at it. He seems to want to run at the defender every time he gets the ball in his feet. Of course he is young and can easily improve on all that, but I think he still has some work to do before he can be first choice here. I'd actually love to see him given that starting spot and letting him develop even if he's, imo, not 100% ready. But us being Chelsea, I think that is very unlikely. That's why I said at the end of last season that I wouldn't mind seeing him going on loan again (as I don't mind if he stays with the first team as well).

Simply because Torres, atm, is still miles ahead in terms of link-up and hold-up play. How many teams in the PL do you think will leave as much spaces behind the defense when playing against Chelsea as Malaysia XI?

Well yes, Rooney coming would change that. But as it stands, even if you'd have Lukaku ahead, I find it highly likely that Torres would be our main striker.

If there is another open pass to Iva or Hazard or Kevin a few meters ahead, then yes, I do criticize him for going back to the keeper. My point was that he didn't look very "adaptive" in his passing. That said, I'd much rather he passes back than try to force a pass to Essien.

I'm not saying he did not say he wasn't decent overall. I was just highlighting his passing (in comparison to Josh's). I have nothing against Marko. In fact, I thought his movement was a little conservative at times but overall very good. I love that he always makes himself available for the pass. His defending has been exceptionally good; yes he was a bit rash with a couple of tackles but that is something that can be easily fixed. And overall he's been decent but nothing spectacular. I was just saying that his passing has been bad. It's not that every pass he played was bad, he did play some good ones, but he's showed on several occasions in the match all of the points I pointed out and if you watch the compilations of his performance, you'll see them. Anyway, like I said to Skipper, I'm not even saying that he's a bad passer, just that his passing has been bad in those two preseason matches. Except he doesn't. Marco is a box-to-box midfielder. If anything, he'll be playing next to the DM in our midfield.

He's staying with us next season and Torres will be one number one striker with Lukaku as back-up. The sooner we accept that, the better.

That's mot true. Josh can play possession short-passing football extremely well. He did it brilliantly in the England U21 Euro qualifiers. Don't get why people are criticizing Josh's defending after yesterday. Yes he used to have problems in that aspect, but I thought yesterday he was defensively sound and solid. His movement and positioning were excellent, he blocked the passing angles well and pressured at the right time and even made a few tackles (gave away two fouls). I know he only played for 25 mins, but can someone make a video compilation of his performance?

The reason Arsenal finished near us last season is the insane amount of games we played with next to no squad depth. Not to mention the in stability and the general atmosphere around the club. Basically what Skipper said:

I didn't say he wasn't a good passer, I have no idea if he is. I just said that his passing in the two games was bad.

That same sentence says that he is on trail just before that quote as Andercho has posted above. I've also read from reliable accounts on Twitter that he does not have a contract yet.

What does that have to do with anything? I'm talking about his passing in the past two games which has been very bad.

My understanding is that he is still technically on trail and has not yet signed a professional contract with the club.

It will mean absolutely nothing for us. Arsenal are not tittle challengers with or without Suarez. The best they can do is keep close-is to the top and finish 3rd but the odds of them winning the league next year are almost negligible.
